The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 215: Chapter 215 The Dream of the Director’s Daughter is Shattered Chapter 215: Chapter 215 The Dream of the Director’s Daughter is Shattered The director picked up the phone, and a delicate voice came through from the other end, “We had agreed to have dinner tonight, but something has come up last minute, and I can’t make it.”

“That’s okay, we can meet up another time just the same.”

“I’m really sorry, I’ll treat you to dinner next time we meet.”

“That won’t do, how can I let a lady pay.”

A seductive giggle came from the other end of the phone, “Then I’ll host, and you pay the bill.”

“Alright, we’ll make another arrangement next time.”

After hanging up, the director faced a pair of gossiping eyes beside him.

Because the filming set was usually noisy, the director’s phone volume was always set to the highest, so that when the call connected, the sound would spill out.

The Assistant Director beside him had heard the entire conversation loud and clear.

“You had a blind date tonight, where had you planned to eat?”

The director awkwardly touched the table, “Well… buffet.”

“You really are something! What am I to do with you! How is a buffet suitable for a blind date! It will make a bad first impression!”

“But I eat a lot.”

“Control yourself! By the way, was that milk tea that the photographer had? Did you ask him to order it for you? Didn’t you say you were on a diet, and asked me to keep an eye on you!”

“I…” the director was on the verge of tears.

“Open all the drawers, I’m going to search!”

This time the director really did want to cry, shaking his head with tears in his eyes.

Still, the Assistant Director confiscated the only pack of chips from his drawer.

…

As the Assistant Director stepped out of the director’s break room, she noticed that all the crew members were eying her oddly, their gaze sticky and suggestive of a secret romance!

What’s the meaning of this?

Were they really misunderstanding her relationship with the director?

Although the director was a nice person, he was too chubby for her taste–how could she possibly like him!

She patted her flushed face, trying to cool down, then returned to the break room to pack up several snacks, planning to take them to Little Taotie.

Before she got far, the director hurried over. Seeing the snacks in her hand, his eyes lit up, and he closed in to bargain, “The buffet coupons expire today–I had planned to use them with my blind date, but since she’s not coming, do you want to eat with me?”

“It’s the last day today?”

“Yeah!”

“Alright, give them to me; I’ll go eat tonight.”

“Let’s go together then!” the director rubbed his hands together, “You could give me a ride there!”

“So in the end, all you wanted was a free ride? Look at you, a great director who can’t even drive. How does that look?”

The director defended himself proudly, “Me not driving is a blessing to society! If I were to drive, I’d be putting people in danger!”

“You’re just too lazy to learn!”

“So, can I catch a ride with you or not?”

“Alright, but I’m not headed to the restaurant now. I want to go see Little Taotie and bring her these snacks.”

“These are for Little Taotie?”

“I really like her; she’s the epitome of tricking me into having a daughter!”

“You… want a daughter like Little Taotie?” The director was surprised, not expecting her to have the same “dream” as himself!

“It’s quite challenging. First, I need to find a handsome boyfriend because a daughter’s looks are determined by the father.”

“What?”

The director widened his eyes in disbelief, doubting his own ears, “You’re saying a daughter’s looks depend on the father?”

“Yes, generally daughters resemble their fathers, and sons resemble their mothers.”

“Then I’ll never have a beautiful daughter; even if I find a gorgeous woman, it won’t change that fact?”

“So you’re in a rush to date beautiful women because you were tricked into having a daughter, huh!” the Assistant Director laughed mischievously.

The director scowled, “Congratulations to you–you still have a chance to find a handsome guy and have a daughter as beautiful as Little Taotie.”
