Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

Avery Jane didn’t go far; he was too anxious just now, almost tricked by that old woman. She paid the rent yesterday and then left, so what do these things mean?

Perhaps she’s nearby, maybe she’s hiding. Did she somehow foresee that he would come looking for her?

Regardless, that strong feeling of excitement made his heart race wildly. She must be nearby; this feeling didn’t come from nowhere.

When he arrived here, he sensed that familiar, unique faint fragrance that only she possessed, pulsating in the low air pressure with a frequency that belonged only to her. His heart contracted violently; her scent and breath hadn’t gone far, the instinct of a hunter coursing through his blood.

Very well, she knows how to play games with him, so he will accompany her and play along.

From the opposite guesthouse, Avery Jane hid behind the curtain. From the moment he walked onto this street, she saw him......

He stood in front of the fruit shop. She peeked out from the edge of the curtain, watching quietly with a peculiar feeling in her heart.

She couldn’t help but find it funny. They were from two different worlds, and he was already a father. They could never be together again, especially after how he had hurt her before.

Yet, seeing him again, even just his silhouette, those broad shoulders, long limbs, tall and strong, his black hair shining in the winter sun like animal fur, she could even see the admiring or appreciative glances from girls on the street.

Just like this, watching him from a distance, hoping he could forget, and so could she, to forget everything she had been through......

Time can change everything about a person. She thought if they stayed apart long enough, that would be enough to bury all this entanglement in the rivers of time. Maybe years later, they would meet again on the street, perhaps in a park, or maybe somewhere else. He with a child, and she might have another partner. Would they then just smile and pass by, perhaps that would be the best ending.

But why does watching him cause a slight pain in her heart, indescribable.

Books once said that all women find it hard to forget the first man who possessed them; this is the first love complex.

And he was such a domineering man, the kind of painful, shy, ashamed, then ultimately unforgettable pleasure he gave her. One had to admit that he was a master in love, more precisely, he was like poppy, making women sink in and disoriented, and she was no exception.......

The memory of his body surged back uncontrollably like a tide. Once a woman opens the door to desire, there is no stopping the intense surge.

She was not a greedy woman, but seeing him again, she couldn’t help but recall their passionate past. Every time, he was insatiable on her, like the end of the world, with endless energy like a panther.

She closed her eyes, she could clearly remember the beautiful lines of his muscles as his body moved, even from this distance she seemed to be able to smell the musk on his body, mixed with a faint smell of smoke, and that strong male scent that spread like an anesthetic......

Joshua Hughes looked at everything in the room, he didn’t miss any detail. The shelf in the bathroom still had a pink floral towel that was wet, it seemed it had been used today.

He picked it up, and it had a light fragrance, her scent, that faint aroma on her. He held it under his nose and took a deep breath, as if that smell gave him great reassurance.....

He sat on her small bed, his long, rough fingers stroked the clean and refreshing blue sheets, as if he was touching every inch of her soft skin, an inexplicable wave of sadness and anger crashed over him.

Why did she have to run? Did she know he came looking for her and still wanted to run, then what about next time?

Does he need to worry anxiously every day about her running away? Does he need to prepare a dozen golden chains to lock her feet?

Or find a way for her never to run again? He didn’t want to live another day of these past few months, gloomy, cold, unbearable. He wants her by his side, wants to see her all the time, wants her never to leave him.

A terrible, cold light appeared in Joshua Hughes’ eyes, he wanted her to come back to him on her own, and she would........

There was a notebook on the table. Joshua Hughes opened it, seeing fragments of notes taken during class. He opened to a blank page, wrote a few words, and then tore it off.

She would obediently come back. Joshua Hughes smiled coldly. The gentle touch on the sheets disappeared without a trace. He hated and abhorred being betrayed, and Avery Jane’s escape was undoubtedly a betrayal to him, so she had to pay the price.

She took his affection as something as cheap as air, then without air, she wouldn’t even breathe freely. He wanted her to depend on him, like depending on air.

The words on the white paper were harsh and domineering, just like the writer himself. Joshua Hughes gave a cold smile. He never thought in his life he would write her name, looking at those three words, the corner of his mouth almost forming a straight line, exuding cold air.
