Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

”No need, I will contact the family doctor.” The housekeeper glanced at Avery Jane, it seemed she was really sick, and quite seriously.

”No, I must take Miss Jane to the hospital immediately. Having such a high fever isn’t normal, only a thorough examination at the hospital will do. What if it’s not just a simple fever? I’m her friend, it’s my responsibility to do so.”

Beckett Wright was very insistent, it was clear Avery wasn’t having a good time here.

The housekeeper was also hesitating, letting him take Miss Jane away might anger the young master, but not going to the hospital might result in a worse situation and also anger him, saving a life was more urgent.

The housekeeper looked at Avery Jane, whose complexion had changed due to the fever, and no longer insisted, stepping aside to make way.

Beckett Wright rushed out with her quickly; she was so light that holding her felt like she weighed nothing at all: ”Avery, hang in there, we’re heading to the hospital soon.”

He placed her in the passenger seat, adjusted the position, fastened the seat belt, and the car shot out like an arrow from a bow.

Meanwhile, Joshua Hughes had already boarded the plane.

Private jet

The white fuselage glinted with a golden, large ”H” shining brightly among the clouds.

The interior of the entire plane was decorated in white and gold, with white leather sofas, a golden coffee table, white long-fur carpets, an open bottle of red wine on the table, and a flight attendant in a white uniform bent over, pouring wine for the two men seated on the sofa.

”Alexander, I heard you’re about to get divorced?”

Joshua Hughes lounged lazily on the sofa, took a sip of wine, his eyes slowly narrowing.

Last night’s little woman’s lips were more vibrant and alluring than the color of this wine.

Sunlight filtered through the clouds outside, this was the closest place to God, and such high altitudes were said to offer a view of heaven.

But his heaven was on that little girl.

”Your expression is lewd.”

Alexander King drank his wine gloomily, looking at Joshua Hughes’s wicked eyes, it made one want to punch him, wasn’t this rubbing salt into his wound?

Now the entire world knew, Nora Thompson was prepared to divorce him.

”Actually, it’s not too bad. You’ve been married for how long? Not much effort, you didn’t even expend much ’energy’, and you’ve already secured the usage rights for such a vast plot from Isaac Thompson. What more could you want?”

Joshua Hughes had a faint smile at the corner of his mouth, and Alexander King, seeing it, wanted to rush up and smash that face of his skewed.

Speaking of energy, his tone was so ambiguous it made one want to jump directly off the plane.

If he hadn’t been so outrageous back then, if he had consummated the marriage directly, he wouldn’t be in such a passive position now.

If lucky, a few tries later, he might have had a chance to turn things around, but now he could only stand in the most passive position, waiting to see if he could once again enter her life.

”Honestly, this time’s business deal, you know it’s with Adam, and you know Donna’s already engaged to him, do you really not care anymore?”

Alexander King looked at Joshua Hughes, his face was inscrutable, making it impossible to know what he was truly thinking.

”Business is business, women are women, besides, she’s no longer my woman.”

Joshua Hughes downed the wine in his cup coldly, looking out at the clouds layered like snow-capped mountains.

”If Donna knew you were the chairman of the Hughes Clan, and that you held the most shares, she certainly wouldn’t let you off easily.”

Alexander King knew Donna’s character too well, but back then Joshua Hughes believed he had the full capacity to indulge a woman’s insatiable desire for consumption, so he wasn’t afraid.

Donna would buy anything she took a fancy to, no matter what.

If she couldn’t have it, she wouldn’t want anyone else to either.

Remembering back when they were still studying abroad, she and another girl both had their eyes on the same crystal vase, but it was the other girl who had it first. She directly pushed the girl over, then grabbed the vase and smashed it on the ground. As the beautiful crystal vase shattered into pieces, she would laugh happily, like a child, yet only those who had been in contact with her knew how terrifying a woman she was.
