Medical and Martial God

Chapter 262: Chapter 262: Trapping Ming Yue, Acquiring Dragon Sparrow

That’s right. The taxi driver was Ye Xiu.

Though Ye Xiu appeared to be acting alone, Mo Luo had been following him the entire time. When Ye Xiu and Shen Monong entered the restaurant, they were unaware that Ming Yue had slipped into Shen Monong’s car. However, Mo Luo saw it happen and sent a text to inform Ye Xiu. That was how Ye Xiu ended up taking over Mo Luo’s taxi and successfully picking up Ming Yue as a passenger.

Honestly, if it weren’t for the fact that Ming Yue’s voice hadn’t changed, and if she weren’t carrying the Dragon Sparrow Sword, Ye Xiu would never have imagined that she was the black-clad, masked woman who had killed Lian Haidong. Even now, he couldn’t figure out how Ming Yue had managed to become a martial artist stronger than a War God in just a few days, let alone how her complexion and demeanor had changed so drastically.

「An hour later.」

”Haven’t we arrived at the Hongtai Nonwoven Fabric Factory yet?” Ming Yue asked.

”Almost there, almost there!” Ye Xiu replied, his heart pounding. He was completely unfamiliar with Qingfeng Road and had no idea where he was, much less where the factory was located. He was just driving around blindly.

After another half an hour, Ming Yue finally sensed something was wrong. ”It’s been an hour and a half. How are we still not at the Hongtai Nonwoven Fabric Factory?” She didn’t suspect Ye Xiu, however, assuming instead that the taxi driver was taking a detour to overcharge her.

”Ahem, I’ll be honest with you. This is my first day as a taxi driver, so I don’t actually know where the Hongtai Nonwoven Fabric Factory is,” Ye Xiu admitted, left with no other choice. If an angry Ming Yue attacked him or decided to switch cars, it would be disastrous.

”You...” Ming Yue took a deep, infuriated breath and roared, ”Then can’t you use the GPS?”

”Oh, right!” Ye Xiu hurriedly took out his phone and started the navigation.

The taxi was finally on the right track. Thirty-nine minutes later, it arrived at the Hongtai Nonwoven Fabric Factory.

”Just stop across the street from the factory gate,” Ming Yue said. She was only here to scout and had no intention of going inside. Besides, the Shen Family’s experts had probably already set a trap in the factory, waiting for Ye Xiu to walk right into it. If she went in, she’d fall into the pit herself.

”Okay!” Ye Xiu responded before slamming the accelerator to the floor, sending the car whooshing straight into the factory grounds while laying on the horn.

”You—you—what are you doing?” Ming Yue’s scalp tingled with alarm.

Ye Xiu didn’t answer or even slow down. His left hand swiftly opened his door while his right hand, with lightning-fast speed, snatched the Dragon Sparrow Sword from Ming Yue. Then, he jumped out of the moving car.

Ming Yue’s mind buzzed, completely baffled by what had just happened. She had no time to think, as the taxi was careening madly toward the factory building. If she didn’t jump out immediately, the consequences would be unimaginable. She frantically threw open her door and leaped out just a second before the taxi collided with the wall.

BOOM!

Traveling at 180 kilometers per hour, the taxi crashed straight through the factory wall.

After hitting the ground, Ming Yue rolled to her feet, her first instinct to flee. She didn’t have time to look for the driver or try to retrieve her Dragon Sparrow Sword. She had to escape now! Any longer, and she would be trapped by the Shen Family.

”Haha, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time!”

At that moment, nearly two hundred people rushed in from all directions, led by none other than Shen Qilin. They instantly surrounded Ming Yue.

”I’ll be damned...” Ming Yue’s artificially tanned face grew even darker. She had been set up by the taxi driver. No, that was no ordinary taxi driver. Who was he?

”How is it a woman?” Shen Qilin was stunned for a moment when he saw Ming Yue, but his expression quickly turned to one of pleasant surprise. ”Are you that mysterious woman in black who killed Lian Haidong and stole the sword?”

”Go to hell!” Ming Yue had no desire for small talk and immediately chose a direction to break through.

”Kill her!” Shen Qilin commanded, lunging forward first as over two hundred Martial Artists swarmed in behind him.

Meanwhile, under the cover of night, Ye Xiu had already reached the rooftop of the factory’s office building. He pulled a handful of sunflower seeds from his pocket and settled in to enjoy the show like a spectator munching on popcorn.

Incredible. In just a few days, Ming Yue’s strength has grown to this extent. What on earth did she go through? Ye Xiu clicked his tongue in amazement as he watched her carve a path of destruction.

”A classic case of the mantis stalking the cicada, unaware of the oriole lurking behind. What a clever ’drive the tiger to devour the wolf’ stratagem.”

Just then, a chilling voice came from behind him. Ye Xiu turned to see two burly, imposing old men step onto the rooftop, both with aggrieved expressions.

”It’s you?” one of the old men exclaimed in shock upon seeing Ye Xiu’s face.

”Fourth Brother, you know him?” the other old man asked.

”I do!” Xiong Wu said coldly. ”At the Crystal Palace’s underground casino in Jin Ye City, he’s the one who took over four hundred million from Lv Liang and sent me flying with a single kick.”

”He’s a War God?” the other man gasped. He was the Xiong Family’s third elder, Xiong Feng.

”Anyone who can send me flying with one kick must be a War God,” Xiong Wu said. ”Third Brother, you must avenge me!”

”If he’s a War God, I can’t kill him.” Xiong Feng’s gaze sharpened as he changed his tune. ”However, tying him down should be easy. After all, my rank of 2386 on the War God Ranking isn’t for show. Since he hasn’t taken the War God assessment, his strength must have barely reached the War God Level.”

With that, he unsheathed his massive saber and charged at Ye Xiu.

Perfect. I’ll test the power of the Dragon Sparrow Sword on you.

Ye Xiu boldly drew the Dragon Sparrow Sword and, treating it like a saber, swung it out with ferocious power. Seeing the strike was both swift and fierce, Xiong Feng hastily changed his own attack to block with his saber. It was a tragic mistake.

The Dragon Sparrow Sword struck Xiong Feng’s massive blade and cut through it as if it were paper, effortlessly cleaving the weapon in two before continuing on to slice through Xiong Feng himself.

Ye Xiu sharply inhaled, staring at the Dragon Sparrow Sword in shock. It’s this powerful without any gemstones embedded in it?

Seeing Ye Xiu fell the War God Xiong Feng with a single strike, Xiong Wu was so terrified his scalp went numb. He reflexively turned and fled for his life.

Ye Xiu didn’t pursue him. He needed Xiong Wu to carry the message to Shen Songshan that he was a War God. When Shen Songshan learned that he was a War God and possessed a sword that could slice through iron like mud, he would probably get a massive headache, wouldn’t he?

Time to take a tour of the secret laboratory.

Ye Xiu glanced at Ming Yue, who was still wreaking havoc below, and decisively headed downstairs. He soon arrived on the first basement level, standing before a circular metal door that resembled a bank vault. Opening it required a retinal scan, fingerprint identification, facial recognition, and a password.

Heh. Ye Xiu had no time to waste on cracking codes; brute force would do. With a few swipes of the Dragon Sparrow Sword, the metal door was reduced to a pile of scrap iron.

”Great sword, what a great sword...” Ye Xiu caressed the blade, praising it several times before stepping through the opening into an elevator.

Inside, Ye Xiu discovered there were four more levels below. He pressed the button for the fifth basement level. The elevator descended, quickly arriving at its destination.

The moment the elevator doors opened, Ye Xiu’s butt clenched.

Outside, more than a dozen men were aiming submachine guns directly at him.

”Fuck...” Ye Xiu cried out.
