In Dark Moon Forest Pass, Lu Ye was determined not to take part in the war. However, as soon as he closed the door, he heard a woman shouting furiously, “Come out here, Li Taibai! I must tear you to pieces today!”

He was shocked upon hearing that, wondering why he was targeted. Moreover, the person’s aura showed that she was a Divine Ocean Realm Master.

It had only been two days since he arrived in Dark Moon Forest Pass. He tried to recall if he had offended anyone, but he had only killed Tan Shu several days ago.

[Is she here to get revenge? In that case, the war must have something to do with what happened two days ago.]

He furrowed his brows. Although he had no idea who the Divine Ocean Realm Master was, she must be from the Grand Sky Coalition. She was probably a Senior to Tan Shu. It was unwise that she led a group of soldiers to attack Dark Moon Forest Pass just because Tan Shu was killed.

Outside the Pass, Liu Yuemei swept a glance over the enemies but still couldn’t find Li Taibai. Infuriated, she turned to look resentfully at Lin Yue and Zhang Kun before saying through clenched teeth, “You’ve asked for it.”

With that, she turned around and returned to her side.

“Get ready!” Zhang Kun ordered with a solemn expression.

The situation showed that the war was inevitable. Liu Yuemei had lost her mind. Unless they were willing to hand Li Taibai over to her, the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators wouldn’t retreat.

Nevertheless, there was a blood feud between these two opposing sides. Li Taibai’s action two days ago had contributed to Thousand Demon Ridge. Also, he managed to kill a Seventh-Order Master even though he was only a Third-Order Master, which went to show how gifted he was. Anyway, even if he was an ordinary cultivator, those from Thousand Demon Ridge wouldn’t hand him over to the other party.

They had no choice but to contend with the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators.

The atmosphere instantly became intense and solemn on both sides.

Thousands of Grand Sky Coalition cultivators were ready to attack as they inched closer to Dark Moon Forest Pass like a dark cloud. After they moved across a certain distance, their pace suddenly hastened.

At the same time, a growl was heard coming from Dark Moon Forest Pass’ wall, “Kill them all!”

In an instant, the Wards on the wall started buzzing. After their powers were activated, powerful attacks turned into bright lights and shot towards the enemies.

Several months ago, Lone Cloud City Pass of Thousand Demon Ridge was attacked as well. However, at that time, the attackers were Fire Spirit Race members, who had lost their sanity after being confined for too long.

As such, when they were faced with counterattacks coming from Lone Cloud City Pass, many of them were injured or killed.

After all, the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators were not Fire Spirit Race members. Since they intended to attack a Pass, they must’ve gotten ready.

When the attacks from Dark Moon Forest Pass arrived, the Defensive Wards on the armoured warships of the Grand Sky Coalition were activated as they turned into a huge barrier and fended off the attacks. The Grand Sky Coalition cultivators hid behind the armoured warships as they pressed on.

While one side attacked mercilessly, the other side warded off the attacks and moved forward. The war had begun!

Lu Ye leapt onto the rooftop and looked into the distance. Even though he didn’t take part in the war, he still became high-spirited. He had the urge to charge towards the battlefield.

Ever since he started cultivating, he had gotten into many fights and even killed over 2,000 Thousand Demon Ridge cultivators on his own. However, a war of such a scale was unlike anything he had experienced before.

In this environment, the cultivators from the two sides were like two currents that clashed with each other. All the cultivators were part of the currents. No one could steer clear of the matter. Even the wimpiest soldier would be tempted to fight.

Nonetheless, Lu Ye couldn’t possibly participate in the war. Li Taibai was a Sword Cultivator from Thousand Demon Ridge, whereas Lu Ye was a Combat Cultivator from the Grand Sky Coalition.

He had no qualms about killing Tan Shu because he wanted to stand up for Xiao Xinghe, but he wouldn’t go against the Grand Sky Coalition in this situation. As such, he could only play it by ear.

Amidst the exchange of attacks, the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators were getting closer to Dark Moon Forest Pass. Since time immemorial, those who were on the offensive had always been in an advantageous position.

Following the strategies of Zhang Kun and Lin Yue, the armoured warships of the Grand Sky Coalition were gradually damaged. With the barrier weakened, the cultivators behind the warships started getting injured or killed.

Attacking a Pass was never easy. Unless the attackers had a significant edge over the other party, no one was willing to wage a war.

However, those from Surging Waves Lake Pass had done just that, which made Zhang Kun and Lin Yue wary and vigilant.

Although Liu Yuemei had indeed lost her sanity, she was a Divine Ocean Realm Master, after all. There was no way she didn’t understand the cons of attacking a Pass. Since she still insisted on launching an attack, she must have the confidence to achieve her goal.

Zhang Kun and Lin Yue didn’t know the reason behind Liu Yuemei’s confidence. They could only be cautious.

As the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators pressed on, more and more people were injured or killed. Half of the armoured warships were gone. Without the barrier to rely on, the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators could only dodge the attacks.

“Something is off,” Zhang Kun suddenly said while standing on the wall.

Lin Yue realised that as well. It had come to a point where the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators were supposed to start counterattacking. That was because their distance was close enough. Only by counterattacking could they reduce the power of the Grand Defensive Ward and destroy it. That was their only way to get into the Pass.

But in fact, even though their distance was close enough, those from the Grand Sky Coalition still hadn’t counterattacked. It seemed they were determined to inch even closer to Dark Moon Forest Pass.

“Be wary of Ghost Cultivators!” Lin Yue growled and activated her Divine Ego to scan the surroundings. She initially thought those from the Grand Sky Coalition had sent some Ghost Cultivators to destroy the Grand Ward in secret, but she couldn’t detect the presence of such people.

The attacks coming from Thousand Demon Ridge had intensified, and the Grand Sky Coalition suffered even more casualties.

Despite that, the cultivators from Surging Waves Lake Pass still steadfastly pressed on.

An hour later, the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators were only 300 metres away from Dark Moon Forest Pass.

They had paid a huge price for this. Since the war started, they had never made a move. They had only been dodging the attacks.

But Zhang Kun didn’t feel joyful at all. The situation showed that the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators were determined to invade the Pass.

The uneasiness in his heart intensified, but he had no idea what the other party was up to. Even though he was vigilant, he had no idea how he could deal with them.

“They’re trying to forcefully break the Grand Ward!” Lin Yue shouted.

It had come to a point where the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators’ intention was clear. Since they were close enough, they surely intended to shatter the Grand Defensive Ward in a short time.

But was that even possible? If the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators couldn’t do that, they would suffer miserably. Considering the short distance between both parties, it would be hard for the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators to dodge the attack. Once they were unable to break the Ward, it would be difficult for them to flee, and they would lose their lives there.

Even if Liu Yuemei and the other Divine Ocean Realm Master managed to survive, they would be punished by the Grand Sky Coalition. That would be an outcome worse than death.

“Kill them!” Liu Yuemei was suddenly heard growling.

Following her order, the situation on the battlefield seemed to have changed.

As the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators marched forward, many of them were injured or killed. The surviving ones had nowhere to vent their anger.

After Liu Yuemei gave the order, they started pouring their fury out.

They respectively fished out something from their Storage Bags and threw it at Dark Moon Forest Pass. In an instant, the attacks were as intense as a storm.

What was strange was that only some weak fluctuations of Spiritual Powers were felt coming from the attacks, which didn’t look lethal.

“What are those?” Lin Yue looked intently and saw the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators casting Spirit Stones at them. Puzzled, she said, “Fire Spirit Stones?”

She wondered why the Grand Sky Coalition cultivators were throwing so many Fire Spirit Stones at them.

The energy within a Fire Spirit Stone wasn’t stable. If it came into contact with anything, it might explode and hurt people. However, the explosions of Fire Spirit Stones wouldn’t pose a huge threat to the Grand Defensive Ward.

[Are they relying on these things to invade us?]

While she was in her thoughts, Zhang Kun suddenly exclaimed, “Damn it! Those are Explosive Fire Spirit Stones!”

Lin Yue felt her chest tightening, feeling that she had heard about Explosive Fire Spirit Stones before. However, before she could recall anything, the Explosive Fire Spirit Stones rained on the light screen.

*Boom! Boom! Boom!* Following the first boom, a series of explosions were heard. A huge firelight billowed like a volcanic eruption.

The explosion of every Explosive Fire Spirit Stone was equivalent to an all-out attack from a Real Lake Realm Master.

At that moment, at least 20,000 Explosive Fire Spirit Stones exploded at the same time. One could imagine how horrifying the impact was.

When Lu Ye saw that from a rooftop, he felt his eyelids twitching. He had never expected to see such a sight.

He was only too familiar with Explosive Fire Spirit Stones, for he was the one who made them.

However, Qian Wudang had asked him to make the items, so they supposedly belonged to the Ministry of Laws. Why were the items used here?

Although Lu Ye didn’t know why the Explosive Fire Spirit Stones were there, he understood that he was in trouble.

The items he had made were used in the battle between the two sides for the first time, and they were used against him, which was ridiculous.

The amount of Explosive Fire Spirit Stones suggested that all of the ones he had made had been taken to this place so that they could achieve their goal in a short time.

Around 20,000 Explosive Fire Spirit Stones exploding at the same time were equivalent to all-out attacks of 20,000 Real Lake Realm Masters, and it happened within a short time frame.

The Grand Defensive Ward of Dark Moon Forest Pass was extraordinary. It could even fend off the attacks of Divine Ocean Realm Masters. But at this moment, it turned dim and looked shaky.

Countless ripples spread across the light screen, which was a magnificent sight.
