Now, Lu Ye could confirm that the Sword of Divine Destruction was indeed not a single-use treasure. If the item’s power couldn’t be replenished by infusing Divine Ego into it, Lu Ye could only think of one possibility.

He packed up his stuff and left the place with Amber. Then, he asked someone on the street about where the nearest Sanctum of Providence was.

Considering how massive Grand Sky City was, there naturally wouldn’t be only one Sanctum of Providence. There were a total of seven to eight of them in different parts of the city so that it would be easier for cultivators to access the Divine Opportunity Columns.

There were few cultivators in Grand Sky City. Upon Lu Ye’s arrival, he saw only several people in the Sanctum of Providence as they surrounded the Divine Opportunity Column in different directions.

It was soon his turn after he waited for a bit. He stepped forward and pressed his hand against the Divine Opportunity Column before connecting his soul to the Hall of Battle Points.

The next second, the projection of his soul appeared in front of the ancient door. The two Flood Dragons came alive at once. When they saw Lu Ye taking out fresh meat, they were elated. Lu Ye then entered the place as they pigged out on the food.

He headed straight to the stone platform where he had purchased the Sword of Divine Destruction and saw nothing on it. At that, he furrowed his brows.

Initially, he thought there would be more than one Sword of Divine Destruction. Just like the Battlefield Imprint of Thousand Demon Ridge, it could be purchased repeatedly. That was why Feng Wujiang could use the Sword of Divine Destruction on many occasions, and it gave people the impression that it wasn’t a single-use treasure.

But now, it seemed to be different from what Lu Ye thought as there wasn’t a second Sword of Divine Destruction on the stone platform.

After some deliberation, he thought of another possibility. Although he didn’t think it was likely to be the case, he had to give it a shot for confirmation.

He lifted the Sword of Divine Destruction which had lost its power and placed it on the stone platform.

The next second, a message exploded in his mind. ‘Would you like to replenish the Sword of Divine Destruction’s power? It’ll cost 30,000 battle points.’

Lu Ye felt his eyelids twitching, for his speculation turned out to be right.

The Sword of Divine Destruction’s power could indeed be replenished, but no Human could do it. The power could only be restored by the Heavens. One just had to bring the used Sword of Divine Destruction here and place it on the stone platform. Certainly, he had to pay 30,000 battle points for the restoration.

Lu Ye was so exasperated that he had the urge to laugh. [30,000 battle points… It’s daylight robbery!]

Although he had more than enough battle points to replenish the Sword of Divine Destruction’s power, the cost was too exorbitant.

One had to know that he had only spent 26,000 battle points to purchase the Sword of Divine Destruction. At that time, he thought it was so affordable. After all, even a Tracking Disc cost 30,000 battle points.

The Sword of Divine Destruction was able to pose a threat to Divine Ocean Realm Masters. There was no doubt the price was worth it. Little did Lu Ye know that it was a trick.

The Sword of Divine Destruction itself wasn’t expensive. Lu Ye even found it to be a steal. However, there was a huge price to pay if he activated it. The almighty Heavens felt like an unscrupulous businessman to Lu Ye now.

After giving it some thought, he reckoned that there was a reason the restoration price was exorbitant. If not for the fact that Lu Ye had used the Sword of Divine Destruction to damage Ning Hu’s Divine Ego during the mission, they couldn’t have captured the criminal, and many of them would’ve died.

Even a Tracking Disc cost 30,000 battle points. There was no way a treasure that could pose a threat to Divine Ocean Realm Masters was cheaper than a Tracking Disc.

Although battle points were precious, they were nothing compared to a treasure that could save one’s life at the most critical moment.

Lu Ye had used 180,000 battle points to purchase the Soul Soothing Tower so that he could save his life when dealing with Divine Ocean Realm Masters.

It was Ning Hu this time, and no one could be sure he wouldn’t come across another Divine Ocean Realm Master in the future. Therefore, he had to replenish the Sword of Divine Destruction’s power no matter what.

As he gritted his teeth, he decided to get the treasure’s power restored.

The next instant, a glow radiated from the stone platform and engulfed the Sword of Divine Destruction. More than ten breaths of time later, the glow dissipated. Lu Ye picked up the Sword of Divine Destruction and discovered that a Spiritual Light was flowing within the translucent weapon again. The Sword of Divine Destruction’s power had been restored!

Since he was distressed over his lost battle points, he didn’t want to stay there any longer. He kept the Sword of Divine Destruction and left the Hall of Battle Points as the two Flood Dragons told him to visit them again sooner and bring some food with him.

After leaving the Sanctum of Providence, Lu Ye looked up at the sky. Just as he was ready to return to Blue Flame Mountain Pass, a ray of light suddenly descended in front of him. The person cupped his fists and asked, “Are you Lu Yi Ye?”

“Yes.” Lu Ye nodded. “Who are you?”

“I’m a messenger from the Ministry of Laws. The Commander has ordered that you go and meet him at once.”

“Sir Qian Wudang?” Lu Ye was surprised, wondering why the man wanted to see him.

The person dipped his head. “If you’re not on any duty now, please come with me right away.”

“Please lead the way, then.” Although Lu Ye had no idea why Qian Wudang was looking for him, it must have something to do with the mission he had just completed. It seemed that he couldn’t return to Blue Flame Mountain Pass for the time being.

As he followed the messenger, they soon arrived at the Ministry of Laws. It was a cluster of buildings as the palaces were well connected. Many cultivators were seen entering and leaving the Ministry in a hurry. Most of them seemed to be injured.

This made Lu Ye realise how hard it was for these cultivators from the Ministry of Laws to carry out their tasks outside.

The messenger led Lu Ye to one of the buildings. Without even informing Qian Wudang of their arrival, he extended his hand and said, “Please go in now. The Commander is waiting for you.”

Lu Ye nodded at him and stepped into the hall. Soon enough, he saw a familiar figure over there.

Every time he saw Qian Wudang, he would recall how he felt when the Reverse Dragon Spine struck his back. He still remembered the pain vividly. He then stepped forward and saluted him. “Greetings, Sir! I’m Lu Ye from Blue Flame Mountain Pass.”

“Have a seat.” Qian Wudang, while busy dealing with the documents on the desk, waved his hand without sparing Lu Ye a glance.

Lu Ye went somewhere else and took a seat. A moment later, a beautiful woman with a charming smile presented a cup of tea to Lu Ye, who took it and thanked her. The woman looked at him with a smile and sized him up.

After presenting the tea, the woman didn’t leave at once. Instead, she went behind Qian Wudang and massaged his shoulders. Then, she lowered her figure and whispered to him. They seemed intimate.

Lu Ye was speechless at that. Although he had no idea about the nature of their relationship, the woman seemed close to Qian Wudang.

The Ministry of Laws was the place where official duties were dealt with, so it was inappropriate for the Commander to be intimate with a woman there. However, since it had nothing to do with Lu Ye, he looked away and waited patiently.

“I have some matters to attend to. Go somewhere else,” Qian Wudang ordered.

The woman stomped her feet on the ground and pouted. While looking displeased, she snorted and left the place.

“Lu Yi Ye!” Qian Wudang called out.

“Yes!” Lu Ye quickly got to his feet and strode towards Qian Wudang.

“The intelligence unit made a mistake this time, causing all of you to fall into danger. Fortunately, everything ended up well. I’ve ordered that all the people involved in this matter keep it a secret, so no one else will find out about the mission. You don’t have to worry about it.”

Lu Ye was perplexed, wondering what he was supposed to worry about.

“Also, I’m more interested in another thing.”

“What is it, Sir?” Lu Ye wondered if Qian Wudang had his eye on the Sword of Divine Destruction. The weapon’s power could only be replenished in the Hall of Battle Points. Only he could do that, so it would be pointless for someone else to take it.

Although the Sword of Divine Destruction’s power had been restored, it could only be used once. After that, it would only become something made from some special material.

“Explosive Fire Spirit Stones!” Naturally, Qian Wudang had no idea what was on Lu Ye’s mind. He decided not to beat around the bush and spoke his mind. “I heard you used some Explosive Fire Spirit Stones during the mission, and they were fairly powerful.”

Lu Ye nodded. “Yes, I did.”

“Can you show it to me?” Qian Wudang extended his hand with a smile.

[How dare I not show it to you when you’ve already extended your hand? If I dare say no, you’ll probably chop off my hand!]

Anyway, it wasn’t something Lu Ye had to hide from everyone. As such, he fished out a Fire Spirit Stone and branded it with an Explosion Glyph before passing it to the other person.

Qian Wudang took it and examined it before exerting more force on his hand.

“Please be careful, Sir. This thing…” Lu Ye had wanted to remind him not to use too much force to prevent triggering the Explosion Glyph, but before he could finish his words, a boom was heard. The Fire Spirit Stone in Qian Wudang’s hand exploded.

However, there wasn’t a massive reaction. The dazzling light was compressed on Qian Wudang’s palm. Due to the compression, the light looked like a mini Sun.

After the light went out, he lifted his head and looked at Lu Ye with a smile. “What were you saying?”

“Nothing.”

It wasn’t like there was anything else Lu Ye could say. Qian Wudang was a powerful Divine Ocean Realm Master, after all. There was no way an Explosive Fire Spirit Stone could hurt him. The repercussions were well under his control.

“Did you make this thing?” Qian Wudang asked. Lu Ye had built the Glyph too quickly, so even Qian Wudang didn’t see what had happened.

“Yes.”

“That’s wonderful.” Qian Wudang complimented him. “To be honest with you, some Glyphweavers had discovered that Fire Spirit Stones and Explosion Glyphs worked well together many years ago. The items once appeared at the front line between the two sides.”

“Once?” Lu Ye heard a keyword.

He wasn’t surprised that such a combination was discovered long ago. It wasn’t a novel idea anyway. He had only combined a Spirit Stone and a Glyph. There had been countless Glyphweavers since time immemorial, so it was only natural that some people had discovered it before he did.

“Unfortunately, there were too many casualties, so they stopped making the items altogether.”

“Do you mean too many Glyphweavers were killed?” Lu Ye realised the crux of the problem.

Qian Wudang nodded. “Fire Spirit Stones are not stable, and the construction of a Glyph might fail. Regardless of how skilful a Glyphweaver is, he can’t guarantee he’ll successfully build a Glyph every time. From what I’ve gathered, you’re a Glyphweaver as well. You’re supposed to know what will happen when one fails to build an Explosion Glyph on a Fire Spirit Stone.”

“Once the construction of an Explosion Glyph fails, the Fire Spirit Stone will become extremely unstable, and the Fire Spiritual Power inside it will surge.”

When that happened, the Fire Spirit Stone would explode.
