Dark Moon Forest Pass was neither big nor small. It was roughly the same size as Blue Flame Mountain Pass.

Lu Ye followed Tong Shuyao as they flew forward in a particular direction. While listening to her unending chatter, he observed the surroundings in silence.

Although he had been to Lone Cloud City Pass, he didn’t have time to observe anything at that time.

Despite being in a different Pass, he could figure out what was going on with the Thousand Demon Ridge’s cultivators by looking at the traces.

It had to be said that the Pass was bustling with noise as there were many people. It was unlike Blue Flame Mountain Pass where Lu Ye and Nian Yuexian were the only people there. He wouldn’t see anyone else when Nian Yuexian wasn’t around.

There was no doubt Tong Shuyao was popular in this place. Along the way, many cultivators would greet her, and she would respond to them hospitably.

Some people took an interest in Lu Ye. After all, he was good-looking now and thought to be a Sword Cultivator. What was more, Tong Shuyao was by his side. It was only natural that he caught a lot of attention.

After dismissing several people who came to talk to them, Tong Shuyao gleefully glanced at Lu Ye, only to see him looking around with a dispassionate expression. It was apparent that she didn’t have his attention at all. Displeased, she stopped talking altogether.

Soon, they arrived at a room. “This will be your residence from now on. When there’s no war, you can move around freely, but make sure not to leave the Pass. If there’s war, you just have to obey the orders from the higher-ups.”

When she was done giving him some instructions, she glowered at him. “You must be exhausted from all the travelling. Go and get some rest.”

She snorted and furiously left the place.

Instantly, Lu Ye felt relieved. He then pushed the door open and entered the room. The place was neither spacious nor equipped with useful amenities, but he could live more comfortably than those sentries as several people had to share the same room.

After inspecting the room, he built several Wards to protect himself and make sure no one could eavesdrop on him.

Then, he released Amber from Spirit Beast Bag and gently knocked on the tiger’s forehead, after which Yi Yi emerged and took a deep breath. She stuck out her tongue and said to Lu Ye, “It was so suffocating!”

When they were in the Sword and Tool Sect’s Hidden Realm, even though Amber couldn’t run around freely, it wasn’t kept inside Spirit Beast Bag at the very least. However, Yi Yi had been hiding inside the tiger for the past two months. It wasn’t until now that she showed up.

Naturally, she felt suffocated after such a long time. Soon enough, she realised something was off. “Why are you so handsome now, Lu Ye?”

Although Lu Ye looked different now, she could identify him at first glance. After all, they had spent many years together. Moreover, if he wasn’t Lu Ye, Amber would instantly realise it as there was a Bonding Pact between them.

“It’s a long story.” Lu Ye sighed. Since the matter was so complicated, he didn’t even know where to start.

“Where is this?” As Yi Yi spoke, she looked into her Battlefield Imprint and soon found out their current location. Shocked, she asked, “Dark Moon Forest Pass? Why are you here, Lu Ye? Did they capture you?”

However, Lu Ye didn’t look like a captive. Instead, he looked more like a guest.

Left with no choice, Lu Ye could only tell them what happened after they left the Hidden Realm. As they listened to his tale, their eyes widened in disbelief.

They didn’t expect Lu Ye to accidentally become a mole and join the Zhou Watch of Thousand Demon Ridge.

“What should we do, then? It’s not like you can stay here forever,” Yi Yi asked.

Although the Heavens had acknowledged Lu Ye to be a member of Thousand Demon Ridge’s Zhou Watch, he was a disciple of the Crimson Blood Sect as well as a cultivator of the Grand Sky Coalition, after all. He couldn’t possibly stay there forever.

“Don’t worry. It’s not difficult to flee. Since I have this identity now, there isn’t a need to leave in a hurry. When it’s time to go one day, I’ll do that.”

“Alright.” Yi Yi nodded.

“Let’s cultivate first,” Lu Ye said and started stealing from the Heavens, which was his unique cultivation method.

He had ascended to the Third-Order Real Lake Realm two months ago. At that time, he felt that his power had increased too quickly, so he needed to take things slow. Now that two months had passed, he was supposed to continue cultivating.

He didn’t purchase any Golden Amulets. Although he had a lot of Contribution points, he couldn’t stop as he pleased if he made use of an Amulet to cultivate. Otherwise, the Amulet would be wasted.

Since he was new here in the enemy’s territory, he’d better play safe.

After he activated the Tree of Glyphs’ power, the roots extended into the Spiritual Qi Swirl.

Given Lu Ye’s heritage, he didn’t have to fully focus on activating the Tree of Glyphs’ power. After all, he had a Divine Ego, and his soul was powerful. As such, he could do many things at the same time.

As the Tree of Glyphs’ roots absorbed the World Spiritual Qi, Lu Ye took off the sword from his waist.

The sword was only a High-Grade Spirit Artifact. He found it when he was rummaging through his Storage Sphere, and he didn’t remember where he had acquired it from.

Now that he was a Sword Cultivator in the Third-Order Real Lake Realm, a High-Grade sword could no longer meet his demands.

At the very least, he needed a suitable sword. A Spell Artifact would be best for him.

There were no Spell Artifacts in his booty because he had acquired them on the Cloud River Battlefield. The best items were only of the Top Grade.

As such, he had to go to the Sanctum of Providence or the Hall of Battle Points to purchase a sword that was a Spell Artifact. He wasn’t in a hurry to do that, though.

Following that, he took off the Sword Gourd from his waist.

Kong Kong had given this thing to him when the Hidden Realm was about to fall apart. It was the token of every Sect Master of the Sword and Tool Sect. It was an amazing treasure, and Kong Kong said that the item was powerful.

However, since Lu Ye had been on the move for the past few days, he didn’t have time to study it. Now that he had nothing else to do, he infused his Spiritual Power into the Sword Gourd and refined it.

Time went by slowly. There came a moment when he suddenly opened his eyes and looked at the Sword Gourd.

Although he knew this item was of high quality, he couldn’t identify its Grade before refining it. Now, it seemed that the item’s Grade was higher than what he had expected.

That was because he could sense countless enchantments within the Sword Gourd.

In Jiu Zhou, the Grade of a treasure was determined by how many enchantments it had.

An item with fewer than 36 enchantments was a Spirit Artifact. Above that was a Spell Artifact with a maximum limit of 180 enchantments. Beyond that, it would be a Spirit Treasure with a maximum limit of 360 enchantments, which corresponded to the Macrocosmic Orbit.

Lu Ye had no idea how many Spirit Treasures there were in Jiu Zhou because such items were exclusive to Divine Ocean Realm Masters. He had the Nine Wards Scroll, which was a Spirit Treasure given to him by his Honoured Master back then.

As Lu Ye increased his power and gained more experience, he realised that the Nine Wards Scroll was of lower quality compared with other Spirit Treasures. It wasn’t that his Honoured Master was stingy. It was just that Lu Ye was unable to fully activate the power of such an item. As such, it was pointless to give him an even better item.

In Jiu Zhou, there was a Spirit Treasure similar to the Nine Wards Scroll that was named Mountain River Scroll. It was the best Spirit Treasure that was insanely powerful. Nine Wards Scroll was made by imitating the Mountain River Scroll.

There were 360 enchantments within Mountain River Scroll, so it was considered the best Spirit Treasure. It was a well-protected treasure that belonged to a particular top Sect. There was probably no treasure in this world that was better than the Mountain River Scroll.

However, Lu Ye could feel that there were more than 360 enchantments within the Sword Gourd. This meant that the ordinary-looking Sword Gourd was a treasure that was much better than any Spirit Treasure.

[What’s the Grade beyond the Spirit Treasures?]

All of a sudden, he recalled what Kong Kong had said. Sword Gourd was born and bred in nature. The ninth Sect Master of the Sword and Tool Sect had found it in a dangerous place, and it was then refined by the 13th Sect Master.

Lu Ye didn’t think too deeply about it as the Hidden Realm was about to come apart at that time. As he recalled everything now, he realised something unusual.

There was no doubt Kong Kong’s cultivation was beyond the Divine Ocean Realm, and the Sword and Tool Sect had many powerful cultivators in the past.

Even if the ninth and 13th Sect Masters weren’t more powerful than Kong Kong, they wouldn’t be much weaker. All of them were the Sect Masters of the Sword and Tool Sect, so no one was significantly weaker or stronger.

Lu Ye was told that the ninth Sect Master found the treasure in a dangerous place, and the 13th Sect Master went on to refine the treasure.

This went to show how amazing the Sword Gourd was. Moreover, it was born and bred in nature, so it wasn’t a Human-made item. This added a layer of mystery to its background.

Lu Ye was astonished deep within as he didn’t expect that the last thing Kong Kong had given to him was so valuable. Fortunately, the Sword Gourd didn’t look extraordinary. Otherwise, Lin Yue would’ve discovered how incredible it was. Even a Divine Ocean Realm Master would be tempted to get their hands on such a treasure.

At the same time, Lu Ye wondered if a Real Lake Realm Master was able to activate such a treasure. He even found it difficult to activate the power of a Spirit Treasure such as the Nine Wards Scroll, let alone the Sword Gourd, which was probably of a much higher Grade than the Nine Wards Scroll.

There was no problem with refining the item, though. He didn’t come across any obstacles. As he infused his Spiritual Power into the Sword Gourd, he slowly discovered the secrets within the item.

He decided not to think about it for now. He could refine it first and look at the secrets at a later time. However, there were too many enchantments within the Sword Gourd, so it was impossible for him to fully refine it in a short time. He could only do it slowly. After making up his mind, he continued refining the Sword Gourd.

Two days later, he opened his eyes and meditatively lifted the Sword Gourd. He pointed the Sword Gourd at the High-Grade sword and infused his Spiritual Power into the item.

A powerful suction was suddenly felt coming from the bottle’s mouth. The sword was instantly drawn to the Sword Gourd and disappeared into it.

A moment later, Lu Ye detected something in the Sword Gourd. He couldn’t identify what it was, but when he activated his Divine Ego to sense it, he could feel a penetrating aura.

What was strange was that the sword that was sucked into the Sword Gourd had disappeared.

After carefully examining the Sword Gourd, Lu Ye finally confirmed what was inside it.

[It’s Sword Qi!] He discovered one of the amazing uses of the Sword Gourd.

Not only could it devour a sword, but it could also turn it into Sword Qi in a short time and store it within the item.
