Geng Wuwang was the leader of the enforcement team. When he saw the old man who was a Sword Cultivator, he stopped resting and went over to give him a brief report.

Upon hearing his tale, the old man was astonished. He didn’t expect that these people could kill a Second-Order Divine Ocean Realm Master.

Although he found it hard to believe, the truth was right before his eyes. That said, he had some doubts about the incident. After some deliberation, he tapped on his Battlefield Imprint and sent a message.

Meanwhile, thousands of kilometres away, a ray of light was rapidly flying across the clouds. The person had left Grand Sky City and was heading to Red Cloud Mountain. He was as fast as lightning.

The person in the ray of light was the Commander of the Ministry of Laws, Qian Wudang. Presently, he no longer donned a playful expression. Instead, he appeared solemn.

No one had expected that the Great Elder of Red Cloud Mountain, Ning Hu, wasn’t only a mole from Thousand Demon Ridge but also a Second-Order Divine Ocean Realm Master. Over the years, he had never revealed his true cultivation. It also didn’t help that he had been living reclusively, so rarely anyone came into contact with him. That was why the information they had collected was wrong.

When Qian Wudang received the news from a subordinate, he instantly felt that he was doomed.

This time, Nian Yuexian wouldn’t be the only one who was going to pry his skull open. Shui Yuan would probably come as well.

[Why is he a Divine Ocean Realm Master?]

He had quickly asked a nearby Divine Ocean Realm Master to go over and help. At the same time, he left Grand Sky City and headed to Red Cloud Mountain in a hurry.

Ever since he became the Commander of the Ministry of Laws, he had never left Grand Sky City. It was his first time leaving the city in years. That was because no task required him to make a move personally.

But this matter was different. Lu Ye was enlisted to temporarily join Team A3. If anything happened to him, Qian Wudang would never enjoy another peaceful day again.

Nevertheless, Red Cloud Mountain was far away from Grand Sky City. Although he was a Divine Ocean Realm Master, he couldn’t reach his destination in a short time even if he fully activated his power. He could only pray that Lu Ye would be safe.

While on his way, he suddenly received a message. He quickly took a look while feeling anxious. He was worried he might find out an outcome he didn’t want to see.

A moment later, he stopped in his tracks and sported an awkward expression. He sent a message to the person. ‘Are you sure Ning Hu is dead?’

‘I’ve seen it with my eyes. Ning Hu’s body has no vitality left. He was in a fight, and a weapon was jabbed right into his chest,” the old man who was a Sword Cultivator replied. However, he didn’t understand why Ning Hu seemed to have been burned before his death. Even his skin looked charred.

Then, he told Qian Wudang about the information he had collected.

Soon, he added, ‘Three things are strange. First of all, since Ning Hu’s identity had been exposed, why didn’t he flee? Instead, he went to slaughter the people of Red Cloud Mountain.’

Supposedly, since Ning Hu’s identity had been exposed, the first thing he had to do was run away. As for whether he would succeed, that depended on his luck. Nevertheless, instead of fleeing, he went to kill the disciples of Red Cloud Mountain.

‘Secondly, An Mofeng didn’t take part in the battle. Instead, he just stood there in silence. Perhaps he didn’t have the heart to harm his Junior Brother. Thirdly, Ning Hu’s Divine Ego was wounded during the battle, which caused his mind to be a mess. That was how they had the chance to defeat their opponent. Lu Yi Ye from the Crimson Blood Sect had used a treasure to damage his Divine Ego.’

‘A treasure?’

‘Yes. As for what it is, I have no idea. After all, I wasn’t here when it happened. According to Geng Wuwang, it was a petite sword about the length of a finger. I have a feeling it’s the legendary Sword of Divine Destruction.’

‘Sword of Divine Destruction!’ Qian Wudang was surprised. ‘That thing has been missing for decades. The last time it appeared, it was in a certain someone’s hand. After he passed away, the treasure went missing.’

‘Lu Yi Ye and that person come from the same Sect, so it’s not strange that he has acquired it. I suppose Tang Yi Feng passed the item to him so that he could protect himself.’

‘Well, it explains why he has the Sword of Divine Destruction, then. Besides that, what do you think about the other two points?’

After giving it some thought, the old man replied, ‘Based on my understanding of Ning Hu’s temperament, I suppose he was trying to mount pressure on An Mofeng to force him to ascend to the Divine Ocean Realm. After his identity was exposed, he didn’t immediately flee. Instead, he proceeded to slaughter the disciples of Red Cloud Mountain. When An Mofeng saw that, he must have been agitated, and that was how he stood a chance to achieve an ascension.’

‘You have a point.’

‘That’s why An Mofeng had never made a move since the battle started. He must’ve detected an opportunity to achieve an ascension, but the outcome shows that he’s failed.’

‘In that case, Ning Hu’s effort has gone down the drain.’

‘After all, he was sent to this place when he was young. Although he was a mole of Thousand Demon Ridge, he grew up in Red Cloud Mountain and spent most of his life here. He was a Human, so how could he be unfeeling?’

‘Well, if he had any feelings, why did he kill the disciples of his Sect? I think he only made that decision because he knew he couldn’t flee. Just stay there for now. You can leave after everything is settled.’

‘Yes.’

After the conversation with the old man ended, Qian Wudang looked in Red Cloud Mountain’s direction and let out a breath. Then, he muttered, “The Sword of Divine Destruction has made an appearance. What about the Soul Cutting Saber?”

In the past, the two weapons had left many Divine Ocean Realm Masters trembling with fear.

He shook his head and turned around to return to Grand Sky City.

Meanwhile, the disciples of Red Cloud Mountain suppressed their grief as they cleaned up the mess and buried the corpses following the Elders’ instructions.

Lu Ye and the others were invited to recuperate on a Spirit Peak.

The old Sword Cultivator didn’t leave, which was why Geng Wuwang was curious.

A Divine Ocean Realm Master like him was supposedly elusive, so there was no way he would stay there to look after them. Moreover, the dust had mostly settled. They just had to recuperate and return to Grand Sky City.

Anyway, it wasn’t like Geng Wuwang could tell him not to stay. Moreover, they were in Red Cloud Mountain’s territory.

Among these people, Lu Ye’s injury was the least serious. Since he had a robust body and immense vitality, it only took him one day to fully recover.

In a gazebo outside the courtyard on the Spirit Peak, Lu Ye fished out the Sword of Divine Destruction and examined it.

The treasure was immensely useful when he dealt with Ning Hu. Without the treasure, he couldn’t have damaged Ning Hu’s Divine Ego and turned things around.

Although he had nurtured a Soul Body and developed a Divine Ego, he wasn’t comparable to a real Divine Ocean Realm Master. He had taken an unusual path.

Therefore, he wouldn’t activate his Divine Ego to contend with Divine Ocean Realm Masters unless it was necessary to do so. That was the reason he never activated his Divine Ego until the last moment. It wasn’t that he wanted to hide it from them; it was just that he was wary.

After the Sword of Divine Destruction was activated, it seemed to be different now. It still looked like a translucent sword about the length of a finger. Previously, there was a Spiritual Light flowing inside it, but there was none now.

The Spiritual Light had been activated and crashed into Ning Hu’s Divine Ocean.

Although Lu Ye knew a treasure like this usually could only be used once, he still felt it was a shame. After all, he had spent 26,000 battle points to purchase it from the Hall of Battle Points. He wasn’t sure if the reward he was going to get could make up for the losses.

[Well, I hope it can make up for my losses…]

Suddenly, someone descended in front of him. A shocked Lu Ye instinctively leapt backwards and unsheathed his saber. The next moment, he saw the old Sword Cultivator looking at him with a smile.

“Don’t be nervous, brat. I have no ill intentions. Your Sect Master and I are acquaintances, after all.”

Lu Ye asked vigilantly, “Senior, does that mean you’re on good or bad terms with my Sect Master?”

A laugh escaped the old Sword Cultivator. “You understand your Sect Master very well.”

Lu Ye remained silent. Tang Yi Feng had many friends, but he also had a lot of enemies. Therefore, Lu Ye had to keep his guard up.

“Well, regardless of what it is between the two of us, we’ll deal with it among ourselves, and it has nothing to do with young people like you.” The old Sword Cultivator didn’t give him a definitive answer.

Lu Ye understood that even if the old man and Tang Yi Feng were acquiantances, the two of them weren’t exactly on good terms.

The old man said they would deal with the issues among themselves, and it had nothing to do with young people like him. However, others might not share the same sentiment.

Lu Ye had never forgotten what happened to him after he left the Crimson Blood Sect and headed to Grand Sky City. If not for Shui Yuan’s protection in secret, he couldn’t have reported for duty on time and would’ve been punished severely.

It was apparent that the mastermind held some grudges against the Crimson Blood Sect. Lu Ye had no idea who the person was, and he might not find out about it forever.

“Can I have a look at the thing in your hand?” asked the old Sword Cultivator.

Naturally, Lu Ye wasn’t willing to pass it to him, but there was a huge gap between their powers. Since he couldn’t defeat the old man, he directly tossed the Sword of Divine Destruction at him.

Then, he said, “The treasure has lost its power, so it’s useless now. It’s just that it’s made from some special material.”

It would be a pretty good Telekinetic Artifact, though.

“It’s indeed the Sword of Divine Destruction!”

Lu Ye was shocked by what the old man said.

“Do you recognise this treasure, Senior?”

The old man shouldn’t have recognised the item. Lu Ye had purchased it from the Hall of Battle Points, and he was certain the item wasn’t available in the Vault of Providence.

Since the treasure was exclusively found in the Hall of Battle Points, how did this old man find out about it?

“Yes.” The old man nodded. “It has been decades since I last saw it. Didn’t Tang Yi Feng tell you how to use it when he passed it to you?”

[What does it have anything to do with the Sect Master?] A doubtful Lu Ye shook his head.

“That old fart…” The old man smiled helplessly and gave the Sword of Divine Destruction back to Lu Ye. “Although I know little about this treasure, it’s not a single-use item. It can be used many times. Decades ago, it belonged to your Eldest Senior Brother. It was a weapon that had left the Divine Ocean Realm Masters of Thousand Demon Ridge trembling with fear. Now that it’s in your hands, you have to put it to good use.”
