Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Not much different from the first two who had ended up encountering Xuan Hao as he was making his way deeper into the Frozen Wastelands, the rest of the cultivators and demonic cultivators who spotted him all escaped the second they felt his terrifying presence. The one Middle Stage Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator who had realized that this person wasn’t simply someone in the Break Dawn Realm of the Profound Immortal Realm, but instead someone in the Sea Formation Realm, ran away the fastest, as he understood just how terrifying someone like that was.

In a short time, panic spread throughout the Frozen Wastelands as everyone did their best to avoid this terrifying person who had suddenly emerged out of nowhere, while at the same time also trying to figure out who this person was, where he had come from and what reason he had shown up in the Frozen Wastelands.

Although, this was only after they had managed to escape far enough away from the path of that terrifying existence to ensure their own safety.

In the end, by the time they all began trying to figure out the identity of this terrifying existence, the person in question had already stepped into the core conflict area centered around the cut off tree root that had seemingly been pried open and had something dug out of it… And of course, no one had dared to stop this terrifying figure as he had made his way there, as there was no real value in making an enemy of such a powerful figure for no reason. Especially so when they had no idea what power that person had come from.

Of course, it didn’t mean that there wasn’t anyone keeping an eye on this person, as the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands and the monk he had faced off against hadn’t entirely retreated and were both forced to turn their attention towards this new figure as he stepped directly into their battlefield centered around the strange tree root.

Even if they both managed to get a clear grasp of the other party’s strength and understood that he was no match for them, they also didn’t dare to act rashly as they had no idea who he was nor who he represented. After all, there was no way someone at the Sea Formation Realm would just waltz into the battlefield between two Land Creation level combatants without any confidence.

For this reason, they had both decided to remain passive and examine the situation to see what this person intended to do, neither wanting to potentially antagonize this newcomer unless necessary.

…

Why… Why is everyone running away from me the second I approach? Haaa… This was not at all what I expected to happen when I decided to make a trip to the Frozen Wastelands to check up on the situation… Oh well, I should at least be able to take a look and see how the situation around the tree root-

”Hm?”

Arriving at the location where he had dropped off the cut off tree root while lost in his own thoughts thinking about all the cultivators who had escaped at the mere sight of him, Xuan Hao found himself happily surprised to see that there were two people facing each other in the air above the strange tree root.

However, different from the other cultivators and demonic cultivators he had encountered so far, these two were not trying to escape and were confidently standing in place facing off against each other.

Together with the terrifying presence of these two individuals he felt a second later, he instantly understood that these two people were the same ones he had barely sensed clashing with each other in the Frozen Wastelands in the past, both having at least reached the Land Creation Realm in terms of strength.

Whoosh~

With that in mind, he decided to retract his own presence a bit as a sign of respect for these two senior figures and also an attempt to make them retract their presence, as he didn’t want to force his way through the seemingly invisible barrier, they had formed around the cut off tree root on the ground.

He wants to get closer? Is there perhaps something he wants with that tree root? But both of us already examined it and the thing inside is already gone…

No harm letting him through, we can at least figure out where he is from in this way.

Good idea…

””…””

As the monk and demonic cultivator silently communicated with each other through divine sense upon seeing Xuan Hao retracting his presence, they ultimately came to a conclusion. Allowing this stranger to approach. Not because they were intimidated by his strength, but more so because they were curious about this person and where he had come from. After all, a power capable of producing someone in the Sea Formation Realm was by no means weak and could seriously impact the scale of balance between the normal cultivators and the demonic cultivators.

On another side, the monk was also thinking about how this would affect the balance between the Northern Central Region and the Western Central Region if this unknown figure was someone from the Northern Central Region, as they would have to reexamine the overall strength of the Northern Central Region and redraw their plans for the Northen Central Region if he was.

After all, his presence here at the Frozen Wastelands was not just to check out the strange tree root that had appeared and apparently had the ability to enhance cultivation speed, but also to test one of the major powers of the Northern Central Region, the Blue Sea Empire.

Overall, everything had worked out well and he had confirmed that there was indeed something wrong with the ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire, as he had not appeared even with a chance to deal with the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands presented itself, but now that this new and unknown figure had appeared, doubts began to set in.

”Might I be so bold to ask where the fellow daoist is from? This one is a humble monk from the Golden Nirvana Temple and doesn’t seem to have heard about fellow daoist anywhere before.”

And without wasting any time, he decided to directly ask Xuan Hao with a kind expression on his face as he looked over at him.

”… No worries fellow daoist, I’m someone from the Star Shattering Sect and have not come here with any hostile intentions, I was just sent here to check up on what is happening given that this recent commotion happened quite close to the Star Shattering Sect’s territory.” Hearing someone finally asking him about his identity, Xuan Hao could not help feeling overjoyed on the inside while he remained solemn and serious on the outside when answering the old monk.

To be honest, he was quite shocked upon hearing that the powerful figure facing off against the powerful demonic cultivator wasn’t someone from the Blue Sea Empire, but instead someone from the Western Central Region… And from a major power that he had never interacted with before!

But… He remained professional and calm. Not showing the slightest bit of fear as he calmly began using his divine sense to examine the cut-off tree root under the gaze of the two powerful figures who were still trying to remember anything they could about the Star Shattering Sect.

Unfortunately, both were left bewildered the longer they tried to dive into their memories for information on the Star Shattering Sect, as neither of them knew much about this Star Shattering Sect.

The one with the most information was by far the ruler of the Frozen Wasteland, as he already had some past interaction with the Star Shattering Sect and understood that it was an ancient hidden sect that had decided to stay neutral in the recent conflict between the Northern Core Region’s major powers and the Frozen Wastelands.

But even as he knew about this, he was still shocked over just how powerful this ancient hidden sect was, as dispatching someone like Xuan Hao to check out the situation clearly meant that they had far more powerful figures hidden behind the scenes yet to make a move.

Once again, he silently patted himself on the back for his foresight of not recklessly provoking a hidden ancient sect again.

Even if the Frozen Wastelands still had far more powerful reserves than himself, he also understood recklessly engaging in conflict with a powerful ancient hidden sect could easily lead to the Frozen Wastelands itself being erased from the continent.

After all, outside of the nine core faiths in the Southern Core Region, hidden ancient sects were the only powers known to have people above the Land Creation Realm present, while also posing artifacts and other things from before the shattering of the divine realm. Artifacts that could unleash power above the Profound Immortal Realm.

No matter how reckless demonic cultivators might be due to their inherent nature, the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands understood better than to provoke a powerful ancient hidden sect. Especially so if it had decided to ignore him and willingly decided to remain neutral.
