Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Returning back to the Star Shattering Sect with the strange wiggling tree root and two disciples, Pei Yang didn’t waste any time as he went to Feng Chen and requested him to use the sect’s guardian formation to set up an isolated space where he could place the wiggling tree root, something that he was more than happy to do after learning about how useful this strange wiggling tree root was for the comprehension of the Dao. Even more so when he learnt that if he didn’t do so, it might end up breaking out of the interspatial ring it was currently stored in and start causing havoc throughout the sect.

At the very least, the authority Xuan Hao had given him when it came to controlling the guardian formation granted him this level of control. Allowing him to quickly set up a small, isolated space in a remote part of the Shattered Star Peaks where Pei Yang could place the wiggling tree root without it causing any problems for the sect.

The main problem that the two of them quickly found out about was that the wiggling tree root had entered some kind of dormant state during the process in which it had been carried from the territory of the fallen Sky Empire to the Shattered Star Peaks. Sealing itself off as it seemed to be gathering power to try and break through the seal that had been placed on it.

This not only rendered its ability to assist comprehension momentarily cut off, but also gave the two of them a sense of impending danger as the power gathering inside the strange wiggling tree root was by no means weaker than the Dao Seed Realm and even seemed to show signs of surpassing the Early Stage of the Dao Seed Realm.

If not for the fact that they could now rely on the sect’s guardian formation to deal with the wiggling tree root, Feng Chen would have been the first to throw it as far away from the sect as possible.

Luckily, with the guardian formation around, there wasn’t really anything for them to worry about as long as the strength of the wiggling tree root remained below the Celestial Immortal Realm in terms of strength.

Unfortunately, with the comprehension boosting effect of the strange tree root sealed off for now, any plans for developing it into a useful resource for the sect had to be put on hold for now as they would have to wait for the strange tree root to emerge from its dormant state to begin thinking about how to make use of it… And at the same time prevent it from entering a dormant state again, as it was of no use to the sect in its dormant state where its ability to boost comprehension was rendered useless.

As for how to best make use of the strange tree root… Feng Chen, Elder Song and Pei Yang all planned to seek out Xuan Hao’s guidance when he returned to the sect, as his strength was far above theirs and he should be able to get a better understanding of the strange tree root than them.

After all, their divine sense was far more limited compared to Xuan Hao, who they knew had at least reached the Celestial Immortal Realm in terms of power.

So, with that in mind, the excited state of these three people, after learning about the use of the strange tree root, quickly calmed down as they all returned to what they had been up to before. Waiting for Xuan Hao to return or the strange tree root to emerge from its dormant state.

Well… Not everyone returned to what they had been doing beforehand, as Pei Yang took out some time to help Qing Yi and Chun Hua whose alchemy realm had just broken through to the Junior Grandmaster Realm. Helping the two of them familiarize themselves with their new realm, while also helping guide them, something he was more than capable of doing with his Pinnacle Grandmaster Alchemist Realm.

Of course, doing this was not just to help a few juniors, but more so because he wanted to repay their master for helping him in the past. After all, if he hadn’t ended up joining the Star Shattering Sect back then, he would likely already have been found and killed by the Blue Sea Empire.

Strong as he might be, the Blue Sea Empire was still a major power with several ancestors in the Celestial Immortal Realm and even a few surpassing the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortals.

Not to mention, after joining the Star Shattering Sect, he saw clear hope of reaching the Saint Realm and becoming an official Saint Realm Alchemist, something he would have never even dared dream about before he joined the Star Shattering Sect.

After all, the distance between the Pinnacle of the Grandmaster Realm and the Saint Realm might only be a single realm, but it represented an enormous chasm that most Alchemist could never hope of crossing without the support of a major power like the Blue Sea Empire standing behind them. Not just because of how difficult it was to go from the Large Success Realm to the Perfection Realm, but also because one would end up being hunted down, the second one broke through without the backing of a major power.

At the very least, he now had the support of the Star Shattering Sect and didn’t have to worry about breaking through to the Saint Realm, while at the same time seeing hope of breaking through to the Saint Realm from the strange wiggling tree root that he had just captured. Clearly remembering how he felt, his stagnant realm started to progress after only observing the wiggling tree root in action…

In the end, together with his assistance, Qing Yi and Chun Hua soon managed to fully stabilize their realm after breaking through to the Junior Grandmaster Realm in the Dao of Alchemy. Reaching the Elementary Realm without encountering any problems. Instead of encountering any problems, reaching the Elementary Realm in a Dao while only being in the Domain Lord Realm helped increase the strength of their souls. Allowing their cultivation speed to improve compared to the past.

After all, the focus of the Domain Lord Realm was to comprehend the Dao and strengthen their domain, something that only became faster with a stronger soul.

In fact, only a few days after they returned to the sect, they both broke through to the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm. Bringing them one step closer to either breaking through to the Soul Ascension Realm or following the same path as their master and Chu Yang by breaking through to the Dao Domain Lord Realm. Following either the Myriad or Singular path through the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

Of course, all of this was still off into the future and both of them were planning to first console their master before making any decision on what path to follow upon reaching the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm.

But… As the two of them inevitably thought about their master, they couldn’t help wondering where their master had disappeared to, and when he would be back. After all, he had been missing for an extended period of time by now. Far longer than the person in question had originally intended.

The reason for this was rather complicated and was not at all something that the person in question had intended and dates back a few weeks to the time when he had just finished peacefully comprehending the Dao of Space in the enlightenment space constructed by the system…
