Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

As both of them remained fully absorbed in observing the strange wiggling tree root together with an increasing number of cultivators who had been drawn over by the commotion caused by the tree root as it wiggled around, a change took place as a cultivator in Soul Ascension Realm appeared. Wasting no time as he directly used his domain to form a giant hand to grab the wiggling tree root. Attempting to forcibly take it away.

Rumble

~!

In response, the wiggling tree root began to wiggle with even more energy than before. Soon enough, shaking off the giant hand that had barely managed to get hold of it.

”Aaah!?”

However, this wasn’t the only thing that happened, as the Soul Ascension Realm cultivator trying to forcibly take away the wiggling tree root found himself being hit by some kind of invisible attack shortly after the hand was shaken off. Sending him flying into the distance in a similar manner as the Domain Lord Realm cultivator that Qing Yi and Chun Hua had first seen trying to take away the wiggling tree root.

Although the two of them had no idea of the state of the Soul Ascension Realm cultivator as he disappeared beyond the horizon, they were at the very least certain that even someone in the Soul Ascension Realm couldn’t mess with the wiggling tree root, something that in turn made them even more curious about the origin of this strange wiggling tree root.

Unfortunately, they had no real clue about the origin of the wiggling tree root and had no real clues to follow to try and learn more about the tree root. Following the track it had left behind by wiggling forward slowly wouldn’t really yield anything, as the wiggling tree root itself had apparently just appeared out of the blue suddenly. Demolishing an unfortunate village in the process. Leaving no real traces to follow it back to where it had come from.

In the end, like the rest of the cultivators present, the only way they could learn more about the strange wiggling tree root was by slowly trying to grasp the Dao of Alchemy from observing it, though that did of course come with its own problems, as one would have to constantly be on the move while comprehending from the tree root due to it moving. Not to mention, one also had to avoid being hit by it in the process.

So far, there had been no low number of people who found themselves experiencing sudden enlightenment while observing the wiggling tree root. Only to find themselves being knocked flying into the distance before they had the time to retreat. Ruining their precious enlightenment in the process.

Truly, this tree root wasn’t just an opportunity but also a deadly trap that would strike the moment someone managed to comprehend something and had to digest what they had comprehended, causing a momentary lapse in awareness of their surroundings that ended up with them being sent flying into the distance by the tree root.

After all, even though the tree root moved at a relatively slow pace in the eyes of the Qing Yi, Chun Hua and the rest of the cultivators present, it was by no means considered slow moving, as it still moved with an average speed of someone in the Foundation Establishment Realm.

At such speed, even someone in the Domain Lord Realm could be caught off guard if they found themselves fully focused on comprehension.

In turn, because of this, a sort of cooperative relationship emerged between everyone present around the wiggling tree root, as they soon began helping each other move out of the way whenever one of them happened to have a moment of enlightenment.

Qing Yi and Chun Hua also participated in this cooperative relationship, as there wasn’t really any harm in doing so and it wouldn’t really disturb their comprehension of the Dao of Alchemy from the strange tree root. Only requiring them to occasionally extend their domain out to pull away someone about to get hit by the tree root every now and then, something they themselves also got the opportunity of experiencing for themselves as both felt themselves getting closer to breaking through the bottleneck that had been blocking their path to the Junior Grandmaster Realm.

Following this, a few days soon flew by as the two of them fully dedicated themselves to comprehending the Dao of Alchemy.

Along the way, a few other Soul Ascension Realm cultivators did appear to try and forcibly take away the wriggling tree root, but they didn’t manage to last long before getting knocked into the distance.

Ultimately resulting in the Soul Ascension Realm cultivators finally giving up on trying to forcibly take away the strange wiggling tree root, as they soon joined the rest of the cultivators gathered around the wiggling tree root to comprehend the Dao of Alchemy from it.

Well… Not everyone was comprehending the Dao of Alchemy as Qing Yi and Chun Hua had first believed. Instead, they found out what everyone was comprehending from the wiggling root was different, some the Dao of Alchemy like the two of them, while others managed to comprehend the Dao of Blacksmithing or the Dao of Tailoring from the wiggling tree root.

Although this left everyone with countless questions after they had first learnt that everyone would comprehend something different from the tree root, it ultimately didn’t cause much of a stir, as the tree root itself was already weird enough as it was.

The unique property did make Qing Yi and Chun Hua feel that this kind of item would be perfect for the sect, but a quick reminder of what had happened to those who had attempted to forcibly take it away made it clear to both that they would never be able to take away the wiggling tree root with their current strength.

Not to mention, the wiggling tree root couldn’t realistically be brought back to the Star Shattering Sect in its current state, as it’s wiggling around uncontrollably would end up causing endless damage to the sect if placed somewhere in the Shattered Star Peaks. Especially so for the disciples and elders still at the Nascent Soul Realm or below, as they would have no way to ignore the constant smaller earthquakes it created by simply flying like someone in the Domain Lord Realm could do.

Knowing that this situation was likely far outside what the two of them could handle, Qing Yi decided to discreetly use a communication talisman to inform Elder Song back at the sect about the current situation before focusing her full attention back on comprehending the Dao of Alchemy through the wiggling tree root.

With Elder Song on the case, she no longer felt there was any need for someone like her to worry about the situation.

After all, Elder Song was well known throughout the sect for being capable of handling any problem he encountered… And because of this, Qing Yi felt that he would also be able to find a solution for the strange wiggling tree root, somehow finding a way to bring it back to the sect and ensuring that it could be safely used without any problems by the sect.

Chun Hua also knew about this discreet communication back to the sect and felt similarly confident in Elder Song, as even though she had not been at the sect for as long as Qing Yi, the trust and confidence she felt in Elder Song was no less than hers.

All for the simple reason that Elder Song had never managed to make any mistakes when it came to solving problems for the sect and had always ended up on top, something that had caused his reputation within the sect to reach an unprecedented level that even slightly surpassed the current sect master.

…

”Strange wiggling tree root… Increase comprehension… Works for different Daos depending on the person observing the tree root… This… How am I supposed to bring this back to the sect!? Haaa… Guess I will have to ask someone in the Dao Seed Realm to take a look if even someone in the Soul Ascension Realm is unable to move it…”

At the same time back in the Star Shattering Sect, Elder Song was reading through the message that had just been sent to him from Qing Yi with a look of disbelief on his face. Not understanding how that girl had suddenly put so much trust in him, being able to take that strange wiggling tree root back to the sect.

The trust that was shown to him was great, but he really would have liked it if it wasn’t placed on him so haphazardly for something he didn’t know anything about.

Even then… Given the clear benefit of this strange wiggling tree root, he had to pay special attention to it as it could directly affect the growth of the entire sect.

However, given that Xuan Hao was still not back at the sect, he had to find someone different to take care of the situation, someone who had at least reached the Dao Seed Realm… And currently the number of Dao Seed Realm cultivators in the sect he would trust with something like this was rather limited…
