Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

At the same time Xuan Hao arrived at the other side of the Frozen Wastelands and officially stepped into the abandoned land also known as the outer regions of the continent, an older man located not too far away from the border between the Onyx Empire and the Frozen Wastelands that had recently been reestablished after it had partly collapsed a few months earlier, looked down on a younger woman who had just explained the situation that had taken place in the Onyx Empire not too long ago.

”A wiggling tree root that increase comprehension speed of the Dao by observing it? Are you pulling my leg? Do you honestly think I would believe something like that? And it even entered the Frozen Wastelands! I’m sure this is just some ploy by the demonic cultivators to try and ambush us!”

”Master… I was there myself and I really did feel my comprehension improving when looking at that strange wiggling tree root… And… The one who took it away wasn’t a demonic cultivator nor should the one chasing after that person be a demonic cultivator from what I could tell, but one thing I am clear on is that both of them was no weaker than master, the one who attacked the one escaping into the Frozen Wastelands with the strange wiggling tree root even seemed stronger than master-”

”STRONGER!? THAT… Don’t tell me its true… But… Someone stronger than me should at least be in the Middle Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm… Hmmm… What to do…” Not able to stop himself from exclaiming loudly upon hearing that one of the two people who had clashed over the strange wiggling tree root was stronger than him, the old man’s calm expression instantly transformed into an extremely troubled one.

”Master… Should we inform the seniors?”

”Inform the seniors… Yes, I will contact them immediately and have them decide on how to deal with this situation. Take me to the place where the clash happened, I will take a look and see just how strong the two involved were!”

”Yes, master!”

Not too long after this relatively short and simple conversation, the two headed back to the location where Xuan Hao had deliberately attacked himself to make it seem like more people were involved in the battle for the strange tree root.

Whoosh~

Not long after, the two of them reached the location, while information had already gotten back to the capital of the Blue Sea Empire, causing quite a stir, though not enough to cause the Blue Sea Empire to fully mobilize.

Although… The old man knew full well that if he confirmed that someone above the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm was indeed involved, those old fellows would almost certainly rush over, as it would partly confirm what his disciple had told. Mainly because the demonic cultivators wouldn’t move any of their stronger members into the territory of the Blue Sea Empire so recklessly, as it could spark a full-on war where nothing was held back, something neither side wanted for now.

”Hm… Let’s see, the clash took place here and was dragged on into the distance in the direction of the Frozen Wastelands…” Examining the surrounding and seeing the damage that had been left behind by the clash, the old man could not help feeling a shiver run down his spine.

Even though he hadn’t examined the remnants that had been left behind, he was almost certain that the one behind it had definitely exceeded the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Not just reaching the Middel Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm, but potentially beyond it!

Whoosh~

As his divine sense swept over the remnants that had been left behind, he instantly confirmed his earlier suspicions and wasted no time informing his seniors who were waiting for news on his side before making any decision.

”Master…?”

”Don’t worry, I was just a bit shocked, the clash that took place here was indeed left behind by someone above the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm. Not just that, but from what I can tell, both people involved should be above the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm!

The one who took away the strange tree root should be at the Middle Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm and proficient in the Dao of Light, while the other was at the Late Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm and used the Dao of the Sword. If I’m not wrong, the only reason that person managed to escape with the strange tree root should be because of his mastery of the Dao of Light…”

”This… To think two people above the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm appeared and I managed to get out safely…” Hearing what her master said, the young woman standing beside him as he examined the aftermath of the clash could not help shivering as she remembered how close she had been to the clash back then.

With that kind of large difference in strength, she would have likely ended up dead if she was hit by the aftermath of those two powerful figures. Luckily, they had only clashed briefly and didn’t end up escalating the situation…

”But master, what now?”

”Now what? We won’t be able to participate in whatever is going to happen next, the seniors will take care of it now. All we need to do is stay back and ensure we don’t get caught up in it!” Rolling his eyes at his disciple’s question, the old man didn’t linger any longer than necessary as he directly grabbed his disciple and disappeared from the spot. Dragging his disciple with him out of the Onyx Empire, as there was a chance of a battle in the Frozen Wastelands potentially spilling into the Onyx Empire located right at the border of the Frozen Wastelands.

After all, it wasn’t like the territory of the Star Shattering Sect that those people would deliberately avoid to ensure they didn’t end up accidentally dragging a third party into the situation.
