Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Finished looking through the Tower of Secrets for useful information, Xuan Hao’s attention turned away from the little he had managed to learn about the Venerable Realm and the realm that came beyond it. Instead, focusing his attention back on the information he had bought on the Profound Immortal Realm a few hours earlier. Planning to take the time needed to look through the information and get a proper grasp of his future cultivation path through the Profound Immortal Realm.

Starting with the Breaking Dawn Realm that was the first minor realm of the Profound Immortal Realm, the dao seed would grow into a dao lotus and bloom upon reaching this realm. Following which one would focus on strengthening and expanding the dantian in preparation for the formation of the spiritual sea, something he had already gone through during his breakthrough to the Profound Immortal Realm.

With that in mind, his focus was not on the information regarding the Breaking Dawn Realm, as he already had a good understanding of the realm, but instead the Sea Formation Realm.

The Sea Formation Realm, was like the name of the realm implied, focused on the establishment and expansion of the spiritual sea inside the dantian.

However, different from the spiritual qi cycle formed by someone in the Qi Condensation Realm, the spiritual sea of someone in the Sea Formation Realm had already completely merged with their domain and in a sense the Daos that the cultivator had comprehended. Making the spiritual qi incredibly pure and at the same time fully suitable for the cultivator.

The goal of the realm was rather simple, expand the spiritual sea before refining a piece of spiritual qi into a solid mass that would then serve as the land of the budding internal world inside the dantian and at the same time also serve as a benchmark for reaching the Land Creation Realm. f

Of course, even if it seemed simple on the surface, it didn’t take long before Xuan Hao became aware of just how difficult this seemingly simple task was.

First, he could in a sense start solidifying part of his spiritual qi and form the land associated with breaking through to the Land Creation Realm immediately, but doing so would not just ruin his own future cultivation but would also come with countless hidden dangers.

Second, the spiritual sea he had refined was far from perfect and just reading through the information on the Sea Formation Realm, he already found several flaws in his own spiritual sea that he would have to fix over the next few weeks to ensure that he didn’t end up leaving any hidden dangers behind.

Next up, he found out, that although the Sea Formation Realm was divided into the Early, Middle, Late and Peak Stage like other realms, it was distinctively different from other realms given that one could breakthrough to the Land Creation Realm whenever one wished to.Doing so before reaching the Peak of the Sea Formation Realm would come with hidden dangers, but from the information he had just gotten his hands on, it was clear that reaching the Peak of the Sea Formation Realm was far from simple.

Not only did it require an astronomical amount of resources, but it also required a profound understanding of different Daos, as only by comprehending enough Daos and in turn strengthening one’s own domain could the spiritual sea be kept in a calm state.

In a sense, the reason why his spiritual sea was so calm was due to just how powerful his domain was.

As the spiritual sea grew larger, it would put more strain on the domain and become harder to control… And with people getting stuck, unable to further advance their comprehension, they would give up on proceeding further in the Sea Formation Realm and would then break through to the Land Creation Realm.

Because of this, the four minor realms of the Sea Formation Realm had aptly been named… Calm Sea, Wild Sea, Turbulent Sea, Chaotic Sea, corresponding to the Early, Middle, Late and Peak Stage of the Sea Formation Realm.

Of course, it didn’t mean that the spiritual sea at the Middle Stage of the Sea Formation Realm had to be wild and couldn’t be calm, it was just a general outline for one to judge when it might be best for them to break through to the Land Creation Realm.

As if one had a chaotic spiritual sea at the Middle Stage of the Sea Formation Realm and was unable to calm it down, it might be best to breakthrough to the Land Creation Realm and not attempt to go any further, as if the spiritual sea grew beyond the chaotic state, it would be completely outside the cultivators control and would tear them apart from the inside.

In a sense, even the chaotic spiritual sea was already partly out of control, just not fully out of control, still manageable to some extent.

With that in mind, looking at how to progress through the Sea Formation Realm, all he had to do was continue increasing his comprehension of different Daos to strengthen his domain, while at the same time also growing his spiritual sea by refining qi the ambient qi present between heaven and earth or stored inside spiritual objects like spirit stones.

All in all, progress through the Sea Formation Realm was not that difficult to understand and was rather simple. Only, it took a long time to do, both gathering spiritual qi and comprehending the Dao were time consuming tasks. Making it understandable why people in the Sea Formation Realm chose to break through before reaching the peak of the realm.

After all, even though someone in the Sea Formation Realm had an extremely long lifespan compared to someone in Dao Seed Realm, they still weren’t immortal. Worse yet, one’s lifespan in the Profound Immortal Realm was the same, whether one was at the Breaking Dawn Realm or the Star Formation Realm. Meaning the only way to further increase one’s lifespan would be to break through to the Venerable Realm.

Well… There were still some other special ways to increase one’s lifespan also mentioned, but they weren’t exactly easy, as they either involved comprehending a specific dao like the Dao of Time or the Dao of Life or using a legendary lifespan extending pill that were far more difficult to create compared to weaker versions used by those below the Profound Immortal Realm.

Shaking his head as he finished reading through the section on different ways to extend one’s lifespan while still in the Profound Immortal Realm, Xuan Hao began to read through the information that described the Land Creation Realm.

Not much different from the Sea Formation Realm, the focus of the Land Creation Realm was on the creation of a landmass inside the dantian.

One difference was that the location of the landmass itself should be at the center of the dantian below the dao lotus where the soul was stored, outside of that, there was also a limit to the size of the landmass depending on the size of the dantian and the spiritual sea.

It was here that the dangers of breaking through to the Land Creation Realm too early kicked in, as it was clearly noted down that if one broke through to the Land Creation Realm in the Early or Middel Stage of the Sea Formation Realm, it would be close to impossible to go any further and reach the Star Creation Realm.

Only when one reached the Late Stage- or the Peak Stage of the Sea Formation Realm would one have the proper foundation to step into the Star Creation Realm.

As for the Star Creation Realm… To be honest, he couldn’t really understand what was written in the texts he had bought from the Tower of Secrets.

At first, he thought that there might be a problem with the information, but after reading a small note next to the information on the Star Creation Realm, he quickly understood why.

The process of reaching the Star Creation Realm was profound and not something that could just be written down with simple words and could instead only be passed down through a special technique.

However, to ensure that the person who wanted this information was strong enough to withstand the technique, it wasn’t triggered the moment he bought the information. Instead, it was up to him to take in the information when he reached the requirements.

The requirements in question being for him to reach the Land Creation Realm, which he was still far away from. So, he could only put away the texts with information for now and leave it for later. Even if he was extremely curious about the Star Creation Realm.

Although, this special technique to pass on information on the Star Creation Realm almost made him certain that the high price of the information he had bought should be related to the Star Creation Realm. After all, the information on the Sea Formation Realm and the Land Creation Realm shouldn’t have been difficult for a trial participant in the ancient Mirage Sect to learn…
