Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Having secured the tree root and made sure that it wouldn’t end up causing any problems, he slowly turned his attention towards the strange spherical crystal that was trying its hardest to escape from his grasp without finding any success. Curious about how useful it would be for his own comprehension of the Dao of Space and the other Daos he had comprehended so far.

”Hm… Although it does increase comprehension speed, it does not work after reaching the Perfection Realm, but… For the sect, this is still extremely useful…” Narrowing both his eyes as he muttered this to himself while looking intently at the relatively small spherical crystal trying to escape his grasp, he already decided to keep the crystal for the Star Shattering Sect.

Even if there was some danger involved in doing so, it was worth it considering how much the sect and in turn his disciples would benefit from this spherical crystal.

The only problem was that he had to figure out a way to properly contain the spherical crystal and prevent it from escaping.

Holding it in place all the time wasn’t really an option, so for now, he decided to momentarily dedicate part of the chaotic qi formation’s power towards holding the spherical crystal in place while he would take a quick trip out of the sect to find a way to get rid of the tree root without drawing any unwanted attention towards the Star Shattering Sect in the process.

Whoosh~

As the spherical crystal was suspended in a remote part of the Shattered Star Peaks where disciples and elders rarely ventured, Xuan Hao didn’t forget to ensure that the crystal was hidden from view for now. Not intending for anyone inside of the sect to learn about its existence for now, outside of Pei Yang, his few disciples and Elder Song who already had some idea of it, before he got back again to properly deal with it.

After all, even if the Star Shattering Sect was a safe location and the sect’s disciples and elders wouldn’t spread rumors outside the sect, there was still a chance of news of the unique and wonderful effect of the spherical crystal spreading to the branch sects and being picked up by the terrifying existence behind the cut off tree root.

With that in mind, keeping the situation under wraps for now was the best solution, as it wouldn’t cause any unnecessary problems for the sect by accident. After he got back to the sect, he could properly deal with the situation and find a way to ensure that the sect would be able to make full use of the unique properties of the spherical crystal without having to expose it to them in the process.

Turning his attention towards the shocked Pei Yang standing only a few dozen meters away from him, Xuan Hao could not help slightly rolling his eyes before a somewhat serious expression appeared on his face. ”Pei Yang, you keep a watch over this place while I’m gone and make sure to ensure the safety of this place in case something ends up happening, I already transferred part of the guardian formations control over to you to help out with this!”

”Yes! I will make sure nothing happens to the… Uhm… Sphere crystal thingy…?”

”Good, I will be back in a short time after I ensure that it can’t be traced back to the sect!” Smiling a bit to himself at the somewhat dumfounded expression Pei Yang was giving him, he didn’t linger around and took a step forward before utilizing the Drifting Cloud Steps to make his way to the old territory of the fallen Sky Empire with the now completely motionless tree root in hand.

After reaching the territory of the old Sky Empire, he didn’t waste much time before he began setting into motion his plans for drawing attention away from the Star Shattering Sect and hopefully entirely avoiding any conflict with the owner of the tree root in the future…

Soon enough, rumors began spreading throughout the fallen Sky Empire about a mystic wiggling tree root that could increase one’s comprehension speed by simply looking at it.

Adding validity to these claims, a powerful figure rumored to have reached the Celestial Immortal Realm could be seen chasing after this strange wiggling tree root throughout a large section of the fallen Sky Empire’s territory.

In the end, this rumor turned into reality for most, as the wiggling tree root appeared inside the territory of the Onyx Empire currently under the complete control of the Blue Sea Empire and one of their main battlefronts against the demonic cultivators of the Frozen Wastelands.

During that appearance, it had drawn over three Dao Seed Realm cultivators from the Blue Sea Empire and two demonic cultivators at the Demon Lord Realm, causing countless wandering cultivators to also appear nearby to see the rumored wiggling tree root… And sure enough, everyone present did feel that their comprehension was noticeably increasing while observing the strange wiggling tree root, something that completely befuddled the three Dao Seed Realm cultivators and two Demon Lord Realm demonic cultivators.

However, the confusion did not last for long, as they soon began fighting amongst each other for an opportunity to seize the strange wiggling tree root before their seniors appeared to take it for themselves.

But… Just at this time, the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator who had been rumored to be chasing after the strange tree root also appeared, and true to the rumors, this person was indeed far beyond the Dao Seed Realm in terms of strength. Easily knocking the five competitors flying before attempting to seize the wiggling tree root.

Unfortunately, once again, another attack came flying out of nowhere, injuring the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator, who quickly managed to grab the strange wiggling tree root before escaping into the Frozen Wastelands under the eyes of countless shocked wandering cultivators and the three Dao Seed Realm and two Demon Lord Realm demonic cultivators. Making it clear that the struggle for this treasure wasn’t something they could get involved in, as it had already resulted in a brawl between Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators.

For now, the only thing they could hope for was that their seniors were lucky enough to arrive in time and seize the strange wiggling tree root.
