Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Looking at the spot where the ninth celestial gate had been just a second earlier, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a shiver run down his spine as he remembered what had just happened.

Although he had some measure of safety in the form of the random teleportation talisman that should have been able to get him to safety, he had been completely taken aback by what had just happened and it made him realize that even if he had wanted to use the random teleportation talisman, faced with the kind of power that had assisted him in escaping at the last second, he would be far too slow to even react.

Of course, in this situation, it wasn’t a bad thing at all, as it had allowed him to safely escape from the ninth celestial gate without having to use the random teleportation talisman. Allowing him to keep this safety line around for the last celestial gate in case he encountered a similarly dangerous situation to the one in the ninth or eighth celestial gate.

After all, given that it was the last celestial gate for him to explore, he felt that it was bound to be special in some way. At the very least, he couldn’t underestimate it after the last two celestial gates had almost killed or trapped him inside.

”Hm? There are still some spatial fluctuations present around the location of the ninth celestial gate…” As he gazed at the direction that the ninth celestial gate had been located while thinking about how he had suddenly been thrown out of the celestial gate, he inevitably ended up discovering a few subtle yet powerful spatial fluctuations lingering around the location of the ninth celestial gate.

These spatial fluctuations had clearly been left behind by the celestial gate when it had vanished, as they were simply far too powerful for anything other than a celestial gate to leave behind. Part of him even believed that the spatial fluctuations might have been left by the spatial storm inside the celestial gate as it ripped apart the ninth celestial gate from the inside.

At the end of the day, it didn’t really matter whether it was the ninth celestial gate or the spatial storm that had been raging inside of it that had left behind these spatial fluctuations, all that mattered was that these spatial fluctuations presented a very clear opportunity for him to comprehend a higher level of the Dao of Space… And with the mystic realm rapidly suppressing and erasing these spatial fluctuations, Xuan Hao didn’t waste any time as he quickly found a place to sit down before extending his divine sense towards the rapidly disappearing spatial fluctuations. Fully intend on comprehending as much as he could from them before they were erased.

On a positive note, the mystic realm didn’t view erasing the lingering spatial fluctuation as something important, as it didn’t affect the stability of the realm. Giving him at least a few hours to sense these powerful spatial fluctuations and deepen his understanding of the Dao of Space before they were erased by the mystic realm.

Though he wanted to continue observing and sensing the Dao of Space from these spatial fluctuations, he also understood that he couldn’t complain about this rare opportunity to increase his comprehension of the Dao of Space without any realm danger.

Well… Not entirely without any danger, as the danger he encountered inside of the ninth celestial gate could be considered associated with the opportunity to sense the spatial fluctuations in front of him and deepen his understanding of the Dao of Space through them…

Deciding not to think too much about it, Xuan Hao focused his full attention on comprehending the Dao of Space.

Like this, the next few hours quickly flew by as he remained fully focused on sensing the slowly disappearing spatial fluctuations that had been left behind.

Although his comprehension of the Dao of Space did not make any significant breakthroughs in this short period of time, he clearly felt that his understanding of the Dao of Space took another step forward.

Outside of that, he also clearly sensed that the spiritual sea inside his dantian increased in size along with his comprehension of the Dao of Space increasing. Making him have some guesses on to how to progress his cultivation in the future.

Even if he couldn’t be certain, given that he had not yet bought information on the Profound Immortal Realm from the Tower of Secrets, it wasn’t too difficult to guess that the Sea Formation Realm would be centered around the spiritual sea he had formed upon reaching the realm.

And with how the size of the spiritual sea had seemingly increased along with his deepening understanding of the Dao of Space, he felt relatively certain about the direction for progressing through the Sea Formation Realm being somehow related to the comprehension of the Dao. Not much different from progress through earlier realms that was also centered around the comprehension of the Dao.

The main difference he could sense was that there was a clear sense of emptiness following the expansion of his spiritual sea, something that he attributed to the fact that the spiritual qi inside his dantian was far from enough to facilitate the expansion of his spiritual sea. Forcing him to spend another few hours drawing in spiritual qi until there was enough spiritual qi present to allow the spiritual sea to grow to its desired size.

[Xuan Hao]

[Realm: Early Stage Sea Formation Realm]

Taking a quick look at his cultivation realm through the system, he was made sure that he was still considered to be at the Early Stage of the Sea Formation Realm after the improvement to his spiritual sea. Meaning that he hadn’t broken through a minor realm just now, even though he clearly felt himself becoming a bit stronger following his spiritual sea growing.

”The Profound Immortal Realm… Should I go back to the Tower of Secrets first and see if I can exchange for the information on the Profound Immortal Realm with my current celestial coins before going to the tenth celestial trial?” Muttering this to himself as he felt himself growing increasingly interested in finding out more about the Profound Immortal Realm, Xuan Hao could ultimately not stop himself from thinking about going back to the Tower of Secrets to see if he had enough celestial coins to get his hand on the information regarding the Profound Immortal Realm.

All of this was mainly due to the improvement he had felt in his cultivation realm just now after improving his understanding of the Dao of Space and the simple fact that he had no idea if he would encounter a similar situation during or after the tenth celestial trial.

After all, the last thing he wanted was for him to successfully go through the tenth celestial trial and receive the rewards from the system only to find himself in a situation where he was unable to further increase his cultivation due to a lack of information on progressing through the Sea Formation Realm.

Of course, not having information on the Sea Formation Realm and how to progress through the realm didn’t mean that he was completely helpless when it came to increasing his cultivation, as he had demonstrated just now, he could still improve his cultivation.

The main problem was that exploring on his own would take time and would inevitably delay his cultivation far more than if he just got the information from the Tower of Secrets.

The only reason why he had not gone back to the Tower of Secrets after completing the eighth celestial trial was because he had felt doubtful that a little over three hundred celestial coins would be enough to buy the information given that information on the Profound Immortal Realm should be as expensive or more expensive than information on the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

However, now that he had successfully gone through the ninth celestial trial and should have accumulated at least 500 celestial coins according to… His own guesses… He felt confident that he should have managed to gather enough celestial coins to get his hands on the information.

At the very least, he didn’t mind spending a few hours returning to the Tower of Secrets before heading to the tenth celestial trial, as he doubted that it would also be in a state where it was in the process of collapsing like the ninth celestial trial had been.

After all, the chances of him showing up just when a celestial gate that had existed for an untold number of years was collapsing could be considered an incredibly unlucky situation that he doubted would be happening twice in a row.

If it really did end up happening and he ended up in a similar situation, he could only blame his bad luck and try his best to complete the tenth celestial trial before it ended up collapsing like the ninth celestial trial…
