Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Continuing to examine the young man, Jiang Chen, Xuan Hao felt that not getting involved with him was the best option. After all, the current Star Shattering Sect was not a true ancient hidden sect and his own strength was still limited to the Dao Domain Lord Realm, something that the reincarnation of a Great Power would undoubtedly see through.

So instead of that, just avoiding the other party and allowing him to stay in the sect without interfering should be fine and wouldn’t cause any future problems for the sect. Instead, it could even make this person feel grateful towards the Star Shattering Sect in the future and potentially even help the sect gain a powerful ally.

Whoosh~

With that in mind, Xuan Hao retracted his divine sense. Turning his attention towards Elder Chu, who had just returned with the information she had left to gather earlier.

…

At the same time that Xuan Hao’s divine sense retracted, Jiang Chen, who had been acting like a normal young disciple, excited about becoming a disciple of one of the Star Shattering Sect’s branch sects, froze, his gaze narrowing as a look unbefitting someone his age flashed through his eyes

The divine sense from earlier left… The strength was at least comparable to the Late Stage- No, maybe the Peak of the Dao Seed Realm, but something was different… A Dao Domain Lord? But for a Dao Domain Lord to have such a powerful divine sense, it should be someone in the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm… And not someone ordinary, but someone close to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm!

As the young man’s eyes narrowed even further, he turned to glance in the direction of where the sect master of the branch resided. This was the location that the divine sense that had momentarily swept through the sect had come from.

”The Star Shattering Sect… I have never heard about this ancient hidden sect before, it is not among any of the holy lands from back then, but… Then again, there were still a few hidden powers that had yet to emerge for the battle back then by the time I was forced to reincarnate…” As the young man muttered this to himself, he slowly shook his head. ”I fell far too fast to witness the final battle or who ended up winning and my memories have been partially sealed due to reincarnating, but at least staying with a powerful sect like the Star Shattering Sect should be helpful when it comes to recovering my strength. All I need to do is make sure I avoid the true location of the sect, and I shouldn’t be noticed by any of their sleeping ancestors. Not that difficult, as the true location of the sect should be somewhere in the Shattered Star Peaks, likely the First- or Second-Star Peak that is rumored to be closed off to everyone, even elders.

Unfortunately, it isn’t easy to recover my strength after reincarnating, as my past comprehension of the dao and most of my life experience was sealed off during the reincarnation process. The only real advantage I retain over others is my strong comprehension and soul, but before the Nascent Soul Realm, it won’t be of much use…”

Concluding his thoughts on the Star Shattering Sect, Jiang Chen, the reincarnation of a Great Power that had made even Xuan Hao feel somewhat uneasy with his presence. Decided to stay inside the Star Shattering Sect as a disciple while he recultivated his past strength.

In the first place, the reason why he had decided to join the Star Shattering Sect was because he had heard rumors about it being an ancient hidden sect, a term used for certain powerful cultivation sects that had decided to retreat from the world and hide away.

Although he had been doubtful that the Star Shattering Sect was an ancient cultivation sect, as he had never heard about it before his death, when he felt Xuan Hao’s divine sense earlier, he essentially confirmed in his own mind that the Star Shattering Sect was an ancient cultivation sect.

After all, a Dao Domain Lord Realm cultivator wasn’t something that just anyone could cultivate, let alone someone close to reaching the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm. An existence that would have been revered as a holy son or holy daughter and considered the pinnacle of talent in the past.

For this reason, outside of confirming the fact that the Star Shattering Sect was an ancient cultivation sect that had survived from the ancient past, Jiang Chen also concluded that it was likely one of the stronger cultivation sects. Potentially even an ancient holy land that had managed to survive the final battle.

Because of this, he became incredibly cautious of the Star Shattering Sect and intended to do his best to avoid any unwanted attention while using the sect’s protection to safely recover his strength.

After all, as the reincarnation of a Great Power and someone who had come from the ancient past, he understood full well just how terrifying a cultivation sect that earned the title of a holy land was.

The title alone meant that they had stood at the pinnacle of the ancient Divine Continent before it had been shattered in the past, while his strength might have been great in the past, he was still a step below that level and had no intention of provoking the Star Shattering Sect. Especially so considering that this ancient holy land seemed to be slowly making moves towards reemerging, something that would only happen if they had managed to accumulate enough strength to confidently appear in the world again.

An ancient holy land being confident in reemerging again? In the eyes of Jiang Chen, this could only mean one thing, an existence exceeding his own realm during his peak had emerged…

As Jiang Chen convinced himself that the Star Shattering Sect should be an ancient holy land in the process of reemerging into the world and became increasingly cautious in pondering how to remain under the protection of the Star Shattering Sect while recovering his strength and at the same time avoiding any unwanted attention, Xuan Hao finished reading through the information that Elder Chu had brought him regarding the spies that had been causing problems and might be hiding among the talented disciples about to be recruited into the main sect.

All things considered, there wasn’t any information on any of the four talented new disciples and the ancient old monster hidden among them and the information that had been gathered on potential spies wasn’t really anything of use, as they were mostly from factions that wanted to be friendly with the Star Shattering Sect and hadn’t come with hostile intentions, but instead to learn more about the Star Shattering Sect.

The ones who had come with hostile intentions were completely hidden away and hadn’t shown up in the information gathered.

Although… This was something understandable, as he had noticed a few Nascent Soul Realm cultivators hidden among the new disciple using special artifacts to mask their presence even from someone in the Soul Ascension Realm. Appearing as nothing more than a normal youthful new disciple on the outside.

But cleaning up those species is rather simple; the problem is the ones hidden among the rest of the new disciples as true younger disciples themselves.

As he thought about this, Xuan Hao casually waved his hand-

Rumble~

Causing a wave of spatial power to sweep through the sect-

”Wha-what is this!?”

”W-where am I?!”

”Wha happened…?”

”Mhmm!”

Soon enough, bringing all the Nascent Soul Realm cultivators that had hidden among the new disciples directly in front of him, as they all piled up in the same place, their cultivation already sealed as the unfortunate one at the bottom of the pile was unable to even say anything beneath the pile of bodies on top of him.

”E-Elder Xuan- This- This is-!”

”Don’t worry, these are the spies you have been looking for, they hid themselves with the help of artifacts, I have already sealed their cultivation base… I trust you can take care of the rest?”

”Of- OF COURSE! I will handle it immediately!”

Hearing that the pile of people that appeared out of seemingly thin air were the spies that she and the rest of the elders had been searching for, Elder Chu happily nodded her head before stepping forward to carry off the dozen or so people piled up on top of each other.

…

”The Dao of Space! And such a profound utilization of it as well. At least the Large Success Realm. Maybe even the Perfection Realm! Truly terrifying, it looks like the Dao Domain Lord present is someone skilled in the Dao of Space…”

At the same time Xuan Hao used to the Dao of Space to catch all the Nascent Soul Realm spies hidden among the normal disciples in one fell swoop, Jiang Chen was the only one who noticed the vast and profound spatial powers that had swept across the sect… And it only made him more certain that the Star Shattering Sect was an ancient holy land…
