Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

At this time, knowing that they had no way to escape, the wandering cultivators were all starting to grow become increasingly desperate as they felt the battle in front growing closer to them and the Soul Ascension Realm demon beasts observing them from behind preventing any escape from the approaching battle.

Unlike them, they didn’t have any kind of backing and had no one to rely on for help in their current situation. Making them far more terrified of their current situation compared to Qing Yi, Chun Hua and Chu Yang, who had the knowledge of their master coming to help them to help them remain calm.

”How come those three are still able to remain calm in this kind of situation?”

”I don’t know… Maybe they have something to rely on?”

”Yeah, makes sense. After all, they don’t really look like wandering cultivators. Maybe they are from a large clan or empire and have contacted their seniors for help…”

In turn, because of this, the wandering cultivators also started to notice how the troublemakers who had caused them to end up in their current dangerous situation were still calm in the face of what seemed like certain death to them.

Not taking long before they concluded that they had something to rely on, something that they guessed to likely be a senior from whatever power they came from…

”Maybe we could also escape when their senior shows up?”

”This… Is a good idea and possibly our only chance to get out of this situation…”

”Then it is decided! We will wait for their senior to show up and use the chaos that will erupt to escape!”

Following which the group of wandering cultivators came together to plan on how to make use of the chaos that would take place when the senior that Qing Yi, Chun Hua and Chu Yang had asked for help appeared to escape and ensure their own safety.

The main reason they thought that chaos would take place was because they believed that the senior that was going to show up would be someone in the Soul Ascension Realm. Not that much stronger than the demon beasts present all around them and at most comparable to the two locked in a deadly battle with each other in front of them.

Anything beyond that was unimaginable to this group of wandering cultivators, as even though they mainly spent their time exploring the mountain range bordering the Northern Central Region, they had never really stepped into the Northern Central Region and weren’t that knowledgeable about the realms that came after the Soul Ascension Realm.

At most, they had heard a few rumors about the Earth Immortal Realm from the few people who travelled back through the mountain range from the Northern Central Region, but nothing conclusive. In their eyes, the strongest cultivators they knew about were still in the Soul Ascension Realm…

”Those people… Did they perhaps find a way to escape from this place?”

While the group of wandering cultivators saw a path to escape from their current deadly situation and regained some of their confidence, Chun Hua noticed the shift. Wondering out loud to Qing Yi standing next to her about what might have caused this shift in confidence to take place among the wandering cultivators.

”Maybe? But from the looks of it, they might not be able to access this escape path yet.”

”Indeed… However, if they have found another way out of this situation, we could also try and take advantage of the situation to follow them. After all, we have no idea when master is going to show up.”

”True, master is not anywhere near this place and might take too long to show up…”

As Qing Yi and Chun Hua discussed the situation with the wandering cultivators, they also began paying more attention to them. Understanding that they might be able to show them another way out of their current predicament in case their master didn’t appear in time.

Although they didn’t really want to do something like that given the fact that they weren’t exactly on friendly terms with the wandering cultivators, they also understood the importance of having another path out of their current predicament in case the first didn’t work.

At the very least, even if they couldn’t use the same path as the wandering cultivators to escape from the mountain range, they could at the very least use the opportunity to potentially buy more time for their master to show up. Time that they were now starting to run out of, as the battle between the powerful Soul Ascension Realm cultivator and demon beast had already gotten close enough to them that they could make out the appearance of the two fighters.

Even though the two were still a little difficult to see given the fact that they were embroiled in a deadly battle moving at a speed far beyond the level of someone in the Domain Lord Realm, it was still possible for them to make out a large turtle shaped demon beast and what looked like a female cultivator.

Observing the battle, it also became clear to Qing Yi and Chun Hua that the female cultivator was the one currently winning the battle, as the turtle demon beast was mostly on the defense.

Not just that, but even if it was difficult to fully see the turtle demon beast due to the speed that it was moving at, it was still clear that its shell had been partially cracked with blood seeping out of it dripping onto the ground below.

Of course, even with this, it was not clear who would end up as the ultimate winner. Not because the female cultivator looked like she might end up exhausted and overwhelmed by a retaliatory attack from the turtle demon beast in the process of being beaten up, but instead because of the at least dozen Soul Ascension Realm demon beasts that had surrounded the area that the battle was taking place in and looking for an opportunity to attack.

Then again… With the nature of demon beasts, the female cultivator wouldn’t be the only one getting targeted by these demon beasts, as they would undoubtedly jump at the opportunity to kill the weakened turtle demon beast.

Thinking about the situation in this kind of way, both Qing Yi and Chun Hua realized that the ultimate winner of the battle taking place in front of them was not going to be the turtle demon beast or the female cultivator. Instead, it was going to be the demon beasts currently lurking in the shadows waiting for an opportunity to strike when the two fighters had been weakened enough or one of them ended up killing the other.

”Avoid a fight, if possible, inside the demon beast rich environments…” Muttering this to herself as she gazed over in the direction of the demon beast and human clashing with each other, Qing Yi could not help realizing just how dangerous the mountain range was.

For the first time, she truly understood why it was so dangerous to fight for an extended period of time inside of the mountain range, as it would attract other powerful demon beasts to their location… And when the fight dragged on for long enough, one would inevitably end up getting encircled by a large number of powerful demon beasts, like had happened with the female cultivator and the turtle demon beast.

”…”

Hearing what Qing Yi muttered to herself, Chun Hua just silently nodded her head in agreement.

Different from Qing Yi, Chun Hua was already well aware of this kind of situation happening in locations filled with demon beasts. Having spent a considerable amount of time inside a jungle filled with countless powerful demon beasts that could have easily killed her if she had been any less careless…

”Hm? Looks like the wandering cultivators are on the move!”

Just as Chun Hua began to reminisce about her past deadly journey through the primeval jungle, Qing Yi called out to her while discreetly signaling for her to look over in the direction of the wandering cultivators.

And, indeed, the wandering cultivators had begun moving away from their original position only a little over a thousand meters behind them. Signaling the fact that they might be starting to try to leave the place through whatever secret escape route one of them might have found.

Whoosh~

Because of this, Qing Yi and Chun Hua didn’t waste any time as they followed the wandering cultivators… And of course, given that Chu Yang could only really move at the speed of a normal mortal, one of them had to carry him along with them as they chased after the wandering cultivators who had begun to leave the place.

After all, a mortal wouldn’t be able to keep up with the normal travel speed of someone in the Domain Lord Realm, even if they might have been going far slower than normal due to fear of being noticed by the Soul Ascension Realm demon beasts not too far away.
