Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Although it had seemed rather simple for him to fight Bai Shenyang, it had taken him everything he had. Especially so the last strike, he had latterly poured in everything except a little bit of strength that was left in case he needed to flee should he end up losing the last clash with Bai Shenyang.

Even then, it had been a valuable experience and gave him far more confidence when it came to facing someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm in the future. At least he now knew that he had the strength to fight and defeat someone in the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm if he used all his strength.

Feeling a sense of joy knowing that he could be considered to be among the strongest on the continent, Xuan Hao took the opportunity to glance over his status to see that it had changed its description of his strength to the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm, something that only seemed to have happened after he confirmed that his strength was indeed enough to face someone in the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Shaking his head at this rather late change in the status screen, Xuan Hao decided not to think too much about it as he turned to head back to the sect and meet up with his disciples.

However, just as he did this, he discovered the massive chasm that had opened up in the mountain range. Stretching all the way from his current location to the neutral territory. Looking the other way, he saw a similar path having been carved through the mountain range. The only difference being the lack of a chasm. Instead, just being made up of broken rocks from destroyed mountains, dirt, trees and other less prominent things like dead bodies of demon beasts and unfortunate cultivators who had been too close to the battle to escape in time.

”This… Was this perhaps me…?”

Mummering this to himself with a somewhat shocked expression on his face, Xuan Hao could not help feeling sense of pride after seeing the path that had been created straight through the mountain range.

The sheer size of the chasm was a clear testament to his current strength, while at the same time also being a testament to the strength of Bai Shen Yang, who had managed to resist such a powerful attack with only a few minor injuries.

At the same time, he also came to a sudden realization.

If the chasm he had carved through the ground served to connect his current location to the Northern Central Region and the path that had been flattened behind the demonic cultivator when he had blocked his final attack had cleanly destroyed everything in its path to the old Sky Empire. Didn’t this mean he had essentially ended up creating a path from the Northern Central Region to the old Sky Empire and in turn the Star Shattering Sect!?

”This could both be useful to the future expansion of the sec, but could at the same time also spell trouble, as the wandering cultivators that have made the neutral territory their home will probably start wandering around the mountain range far more in the future. Especially so considering the number of demon beasts present in this part of the mountain range has been significantly lowered by the earlier battle…” Muttering this to himself as he could already foresee what was going to happen in the future when the wandering cultivators learnt about a safe way into the depths of the mountain range, it also wasn’t that hard to imagine that the Explorer Union might directly jump at the opportunity to build up a city in his current location.

Not just to help make it easier for wandering cultivators to explore and the mountain range, but also to serve as a potential major trading hub connecting the Northern Central Region with the outer region of the continent.

Though this was not that rare, locations like that were mostly fully controlled by different major powers. Making it hard for a spread-out power like the Explorer Union to get their hands on territories in these kinds of locations. Not that they didn’t have any, just that it was difficult under normal circumstances.

Feeling his thoughts starting to wander, Xuan Hao shook his head as he soon took a step forward, his figure flickering slightly before disappearing from the spot. Leaving the mountain range for good.

For now, he didn’t have the luxury of thinking about the potential influx in wandering cultivators in the Domain Lord Realm and Soul Ascension Realm that might take place in the coming years.

Instead, he had to dedicate his full attention to the upcoming confrontation with the Blue Sea Empire, as what happened today was almost certainly going to spark a conflict between the Star Shattering Sect and the Blue Sea Empire.

At the very least, he had managed to injure Bai Shenyang. Proving his strength, while at the same time also serving as a warning to the Blue Sea Empire to not take any reckless actions against the Star Shattering Sect as they essentially had nothing to base their understanding of the sect’s strength off outside of his strength as an elder of the sect.

As for being unable to find any records on the Star Shattering Sect in the past? This wasn’t unusual when it came to hidden ancient sects, as their histories spanned far longer than the different major powers on the continent.

Maybe the only ones who would have some general clue about them could be found in the Southern Central Region, as the Nine Core Faiths were equally ancient powers that had existed for an extremely long period of time. To the point where it was impossible to fully deduce when these nine powers had emerged. Leading to some speculation that they were also a kind of ancient sect, just the religious kind of ancient sect as they didn’t really move outside the territory they had seemingly been in control of forever.
