Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Following after the group of wandering cultivators as they slowly began approaching one of the Soul Ascension Realm demon beasts that had been watching the fight taking place and ensuring that they couldn’t escape without having to first go through it, Qing Yi And Chun Hua began growing increasingly nervous as they wondered what kind of plan the wandering cultivators might have come up with to escape from this kind of powerful demon beast.

However, when the time finally came for the wandering cultivators to show what they had been planning, they were shocked to discover that the group seemingly just came to a stop without daring to get any closer to the Soul Ascension Realm demon beast.

At first, Qing Yi, Chun Hua and even Chu Yang had believed the group to be preparing for their escape, but as time continued to pass and the battle, they had just managed to create some distance from grew closer, they realized that they might not have been trying to escape but instead create a bit more distance between them and the battle.

Even then, with how confident the group still looked, it was hard for the three of them to believe that they didn’t have anything planned.

In the end, the only thing they could think of that the group of wandering cultivators might be planning was to wait for the battle to get close enough that it would force the Soul Ascension Realm demon beast blocking their path into either retreating or attacking. Giving them an opportunity to either escape during the turmoil or at the very least create some more distance between themselves and the battle by moving alongside the Soul Ascension Realm demon beast.

It was not like Qing Yi, Chun Hua and Chu Yang hadn’t thought about doing something like that before, it was just that it was far too dangerous as they would essentially end up directly in the core of the battle between the two powerful Soul Ascension Realm demon beasts.

Although they might not get specifically targeted by the two fighters, they would undoubtedly draw attention to themselves doing this kind of thing. Possibly ending up getting killed by the demon beast they would be trying to follow to get away from the battle.

”Looks like we still have to rely on master.”

”Yeah, but at least we should have managed to by another two or so minutes by following them. Better than nothing I guess…”

Understanding that they wouldn’t be able to escape by following after the group of wandering cultivators, the group of three just felt happy over the fact that they had managed to buy a little more time for their master to show up by following the wandering cultivators as far away from the battle that they could move without aggravating any of the Soul Ascension Realm demon beasts surrounding the battlefield.

At the very least in that regard, the wandering cultivators were the ones taking the risks of moving closer to the Soul Ascension Realm demon beasts, while they were only following behind them at a distance that had already been confirmed to be safe by them.

…

”The location of those three shouldn’t be that far away from here.”

At the same time Qing Yi, Chun Hua and Chu Yang managed to create a bit more distance between themselves and the battle between the powerful Soul Ascension Realm cultivator and demon beast, Xuan Hao finally arrived back in the Northern Central Region or more specifically at the edge of the neutral territory that was connected to the mountain range that his three disciples were currently stuck inside of.

”Hm? That is…”

However, just before he could take a final step forward and travel the last bit of the distance required for him to reach the mountain range where his disciples were located, a terrifying divine sense swept over the surroundings. Catching him somewhat off guard, as the strength of the divine sense was clearly far beyond the Dao Seed Realm, something that shouldn’t be present in the neutral territory that at most had a handful of Dao Seed Realm cultivators present inside of it.

Of course, the reason why he stopped himself from stepping forward to leave was not so much that he was fearful of the owner of this divine sense, as they should only be in the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm as far as he could tell, but instead because he clearly felt the divine sense having focused on him. Making it clear that the other party had somehow managed to recognize him even though the strength he outwardly displayed the moment he sensed that divine sense was only at the Domain Lord Realm.

Indeed, fooling someone in the Eastern Central Region where he was completely unknown was rather simple, while doing the same thing in the Northern Central Region where he had already become rather well known among the different major powers was a bit more difficult. Especially considering that it would be difficult to fully disguise himself in front of someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm.

After all, even if his strength only appeared to be in the Domain Lord Realm outwardly, these kinds of powerful cultivators wouldn’t believe something like that and would just think that he was in possession of some kind of powerful disguise technique that allowed him to mask the strength of his cultivation base in front of someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Considering his identity as an elder of a hidden ancient sect with a foundation far surpassing that of any empires found on the continent, this kind of powerful disguise technique wouldn’t even be that surprising and could even be said to strengthen his claim to be from a hidden ancient sect in the eyes of these major powers.

Rumble~!

Feeling the person rapidly approaching him, Xuan Hao could not help silently narrowing his eyes as he soon began to feel the boiling killing intent hidden beneath the surface of the other person’s aura.

Although the killing intent wasn’t directed towards him, it was clear that this person was out to kill and his clear intention of stopping him was clearly related to this…

”Is there something I can help with?”

Because of this, the moment the other party came to a stop in front of him, he directly asked what it was that he wanted, as he was rather limited on time at the current moment.

”Yes, I’m looking for someone who killed a family member of mine and would like to know if you have seen them.” Feeling the clear lack of patience from Xuan Hao and hearing what he said, this Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator didn’t show the slightest bit of annoyance, but instead just calmly nodded his head before saying this.

Clearly, he didn’t care much about Xuan Hao being somewhat rude to him and only wanted to find the person who had killed his family member, something Xuan Hao found understanding as he decided to take the time to observe the image of the perpetrator that the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator was showing to him.

”… I have not seen this person before, but I will make sure to keep an eye out for them…”

”How unfortunate… Anyway, thanks for your help, I will get going then.”

Whoosh~!

Hearing Xuan Hao’s response, the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator silently shook his head with some regret on his face before turning around to leave without a second thought. Clearly not wanting to waste too much time when he could use that time to search for the one who killed his family member.

”…”

Seeing the other party leaving, Xuan Hao didn’t immediately turn to rush in the direction of his three disciples but instead just kept looking in the direction of the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator with a somewhat troubled expression on his face.

The reason for this was rather simple, as the image that had been shown to him by the other party was clearly an image of his second disciple, Chu Yang.

”How on earth did that little fellow end up with a Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator chasing after him during his time out of the sect? Haaa… In the future, I really have to make sure that the rest don’t end up creating any more enemies at the Celestial Immortal Realm for the Star Shattering Sect.

After all, even though I, their master, is confident in his strength to protect them, I still don’t have the strength to fight someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm, let alone the major power behind them…” Muttering this to himself with a somewhat wry smile on his face, Xuan Hao could not help feeling like he should inform his disciples to be more careful while adventuring outside the sect in the future.

Of course, this was something for the future.

For now, he still had to save three of them before they ended up being killed...
