Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Having decided that the two Daos he would be focusing on were going to be the Dao of Ice and the Dao of the Sword, Xuan Hao didn’t return to his cultivation room after finishing his conversation with Qin Hao. Instead, he made his way up the Second Star Peak to find the rock filled with blue divine energy and hopefully make use of them once again to increase his own comprehension of the Dao of Ice.

Hoping that he would have an easier time doing so now that his strength had broken through to the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

At the same time also hoping that he would be able to gain some more insights into the flame imprint between his brows in the process.

After all, at this point in time, the only thing he knew about the flame imprint that had formed between his brow under the influence of the phoenix feathers he had managed to gather in the past, was that it contained some kind of independent space that could absorb the blue divine energy.

That and the tiny, almost impossible to spot phoenix residing inside the core of the flame imprint.

As he began thinking about the flame imprint, he couldn’t stop himself from using his divine sense to subtly probe the area between his eyebrows. Revealing the small flame imprint in the process.

Unfortunately, even with his increase in strength, he still couldn’t enter the small space that had been created and could only see a sea of icy blue flames inside the space without anything else being visible.

Although… Compared to before, he could feel that the icy blue flames inside the space were not made up from the Dao of Fire like he had first suspected, but were instead created through the Dao of Ice, something rather confusing considering they were flames. However, this sense of confusion didn’t last for two long when he remembered that the phoenix feathers that had essentially created the imprint in the first place should have belonged to some kind of special ice phoenix proficient in the Dao of Ice.

If there was anything that could create icy flames, it would be a phoenix known as an ice phoenix…

Shaking his head as he thought about this with a small smile on his lips, Xuan Hao found himself on standing on the desolate peak of the Second Star Peak that looked no different from the last time he had been there.

Not that surprising considering that he had essentially sealed off the area with the help of the chaotic qi formation. Preventing anyone from carelessly reaching the Second Star Peak, something he had also done with the First Star Peak.

The reason not just being because he wanted to monopolize the two mountains for himself, but also because the two mountains were far too dangerous for the elders of the sect to wander through.

The Second Star Peak having the stones filled with the blue divine energy that could have easily killed him off if not for the help of the mysterious flame imprint, while the First Star Peak had countless hidden dangers that not even, he himself was fully aware of.

Even with his strength having reached the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, he didn’t dare make his way back to the First Star Peak without any reason, still remembering his last encounter at the ancient battlefield with the golem that had been corrupted and controlled by the Dao of Corruption.

Speaking of the golem that had chased him back then, he had a feeling that he might encounter it again in the future, but having not heard any news about it even when trying to ask around at the Explorer Union during his recent trip out of the sect, he couldn’t really do anything about this feeling.

At the very least, if it did appear somewhere on the continent in the future, he was almost certain that it wouldn’t be tolerated by the different major powers and should move to destroy.

After all, even though he didn’t know the different major powers attitude towards the Dao of Corruption, he was very clear about the damage that the Dao of Corruption could cause when not dealt with, the ancient battlefield being a prime example, along with the little information he had about the ancient past pointing towards the Dao of Corruption having some kind of major influence on the battle back then.

”Well… I’m still far too weak to worry about any of this. For now, I should just focus on trying to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm and break through to the Profound Immortal Realm as fast as possible…” Showing a somewhat wry smile on his face as he muttered this to himself while approaching one of the small stones filled with blue divine energy, Xuan Hao threw his worries about the Dao of Corruption to the back of his mind while slowly picking up the small stone to start trying to increase his comprehension of the Dao of Ice.

Even though he was still too weak to absorb the blue divine energy on his own, even after his breakthrough to the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, he could feel that the benefits brought to him had significantly increased compared to the last time he had been to the Second Star Peak.

Not just that, but the blue divine energy that could be absorbed by the space between his eyebrows had also increased significantly.

In the past, it had only taken him a little over three hours to fill up the space with the blue divine energy, but now, as the four-hour mark slowly trickled by and his comprehension of the Dao of Ice leap forwards by leaps and bounds, the space between his eyebrows was not even half filled up.

In turn, Xuan Hao didn’t start to feel a sense of worry upon realizing this, but the improvement to his comprehension of the Dao of Ice was simply not something he could easily give up on. Especially now that the Star Shattering Sect found itself in an increasingly dangerous situation faced with a potential attack from the Blue Sea Empire at any moment following his recent clash with one of their Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestors.

Even if he wanted to remain cautious, he didn’t have the luxury to do so, as it was important for him to increase his strength to the point where he could protect the sect against the Blue Sea Empire… And with the Blue Sea Empire having someone in the Land Creation Realm, it seemed like the only way for him to have the strength to protect the Star Shattering Sect would be for him to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm before breaking through to the Profound Immortal Realm.

Now, knowing the strength of the Blue Sea Empire, simply breaking through to the Profound Immortal Realm was no longer enough, as he felt that he would need to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

Knowing that reaching the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm would allow him to at least reach the Sea Formation Realm in the Profound Immortal Realm after his breakthrough.

Although not comparable to the Land Creation Realm, it should be enough to keep the Star Shattering Sect safe, as he doubted the Land Creation Realm Ancestor from the Blue Sea Empire would easily move. Especially considering the current precarious state of the world, as it would present the demonic cultivators with a perfect opportunity to focus their attention on attacking the Blue Sea Empire while it was engaged with the Star Shattering Sect.

Whoosh~!

As he thought about this to himself, time slowly flew by and when he had finished absorbing the blue divine energy for a little over twelve hours, the space between his eyebrows finally seemed to have reached a limit, as it couldn’t absorb any more and entered an almost dormant state like it had done in the past.

However, this was far from the end for Xuan Hao, but instead only the start, as traces of the blue divine energy still lingered throughout his body. Allowing him to use it to further his understanding of the Dao of Ice like he had done in the past.

The only difference being that the traces left behind this time around were far more prominent. Allowing him to comprehend the Dao of Ice far more easily than in the past and would likely also linger around in his body for longer.

Whoosh~

And knowing that he would likely be in secluded cultivation for the next few months comprehending the Dao of Ice because of this, Xuan Hao didn’t waste any time, as he quickly informed Elder Song and his disciples about his secluded cultivation before focusing all his attention on comprehending the Dao of Ice.
