Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5315: No Contributions Gang?

”Sisters, please feel at ease. I’m well aware it is difficult to choose at this point, but I’ve long faced these kinds of situations back when I was a receptionist and manager at an auction house and had to decide which treasures were the best that needed to be placed first and last, and which ones had to go just to not offend some people. If you don’t like my opinion, please feel free to disagree. There’s absolutely no pressure, and I won’t take any offense.”

Everyone nodded in response, and those awaiting the decision felt good hearing those words.

”Tina is very lovely~” Fiora giggled, ”You won’t suffer a loss when you interact with her, unlike Mingzhi.”

”You little-” Mingzhi scoffed in disbelief.

Was the jab necessary?

Tina smiled professionally, ”Alright, I’ll present my opinion on which of us should be the next ones to be in line for the fifth spot. First, it should be Stella. Her ability to create mini-realms and move has helped us time and time again, giving us a shelter to live in without fearing for our lives every day. If it weren’t for us being stronger than her and able to protect ourselves better, then this contribution of hers would’ve been so consequential that it would’ve surpassed Dalila’s.”

”Hehe~” Stella giggled, not saying much.

”Secondly, Yotan has attended the curriculum in the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm and brought back comprehensive knowledge in various fields from the various sects. Without needing to mention it, she is also the commander of the Reaper Soul Legion, which should have great significance, but due to them not having the opportunity to face dangerous threats and could only relieve themselves with bandit hunts because husband only keeps them as a personal force to protect the family and monitor threats, she wasn’t able to contribute more. Regardless, her many accomplishments in constantly protecting us would undoubtedly place her in this selection.”

”Third, Bylai has helped create fanciful structures, beautiful mansions for us and many allies. Most importantly, she created majestic statues of our husband. Naturally, all of these structures aren’t empty and come with built-in formations with the help of formation masters. Hence, these aren’t just decorations but formations that guard our sanctuary.”

”Fourth, Schleya. She works with Tia on karmic defense maneuvers for our family and has worked hard in unseen ways. After all, she could only make a move openly when the threat lands.”

”Fifth, Nadia. The fact that she has become a Mythical-Tier Beast, which had been earned through her own efforts, should put her above elder sister Lea’s contribution and many others, but she had messed it up recently by allowing something to happen without our consent.”

”Fhm~” Nadia could only let out a soft whimper in response as Tina spoke without a stop.

She didn’t know her decision at that time would invite such a response. Otherwise, she might not have- no, she would have still done it.

She didn’t feel regretful at all as she looked away with a snort, ”Fmph~”

On the other hand, the beauties looked dazzled by Tina’s performance. They could tell that although silent, she was watching everyone with a keen eye.

Tina smiled teasingly at Nadia before finishing, ”Finally, Mira’s contribution is quite significant because she has lost a considerable amount of her bloodsoul essence in aiding in the growth of big sister Evelynn and elder sister Isabella. However, these only help a few individuals and cannot amount to much when compared to those that aid the entire family. Hence, I feel this or the last round is apt for her.”

”Since this is the selection for the fifth spot, let only five compete.” Isabella nodded, ”This way, there would be six of us left for the sixth spot.”

”Oh~ I am aware fate works in different ways, but I didn’t expect it to match numbers.” Zenova commented.

”Hehehe~”

It made everyone laugh before awkwardly looking at Nadia, fearing that she might be removed and placed on the selection for the sixth spot.

Shirley’s gaze flickered, ”For the mess Nadia created, she shouldn’t be included at all.”

”...!?” Nadia turned to look at Shirley with an aggrieved look.

”My sweet Noctis had become a man without leaving us a single hint~” Shirley pouted, ”Look at what you’ve done. This matter hit us like thunder, catching us mothers off guard and making us all angry, and most importantly, you’re still not repenting~”

Nadia turned her head again, refusing to respond to this matter.

When she behaved like that, everyone could only roll their eyes. They didn’t know if Davis would even get angry, so it was useless to berate her. Besides, ever since she became a Deathhowl Revenant Wolf, she was even less inclined to open her mouth to speak. They could only guess it was a racial trait.

Zenova opened her mouth, ”Nadia, my wolf sister. What you did wasn’t wrong, as it was your son who chose her, but if we start deciding on our son’s lives without receiving permission from the Emperor, what kind of precedent are we creating? Should I also allow my child to do as I please? I have many, many thoughts in my head you would all dislike to the core.”

Her gaze narrowed, leaving everyone shuddering.

Even Zenova had been pissed off because she cared about the rules more than anyone else.

If she saw others flouting the rules, how would she stay in line?

Isabella and Shirley hurriedly tried to defuse the situation and succeeded as the former brought up Mira’s innocence.

”Mira should have her first time alone with our Emperor like Juili, and Jade also wishes. Put her in the sixth spot selection. If she still has the dumb luck to get chosen, then I won’t say anything about it.” Isabella said sternly.

”Nooooo!~”

Mira threw her head up and held her head, filled with brownish-red hair. For Davis, she had even disguised herself with her old appearance, still not displaying her new appearance as a Chaos Dragon because she wanted to dazzle him with it.

Yet, it seemed like she might not even obtain the chance since it was sabotaged by her own master.

Soon, the selection for the fifth spot took place, and the fifth chosen was selected.

Everyone congratulated the fifth chosen because she was a patient and silent woman who didn’t use many words but displayed everything with her actions.

The discussion approached the final selection for the sixth spot.

The ones who were left were naturally Yilla, Zestria, Lanqua, Iesha, Fiora, and Mira.

Most of them in the last round hadn’t contributed much or anything at all because they didn’t have the chance since they were still cultivating. Yilla had only contributed with dance classes, which Davis would rate highly, but not them. Ultimately, it was only entertainment and not survival.

Zestria, Lanqua, and Fiora were still cultivating. All three of them reached a high level of prowess, so they felt that would be a sight to see soon. After all, two of them had been Realm Masters. Zestria and Lanqua were Realm Masters of the Verdant Vale Lower Realm. On that note, Yilla had also been the Realm Master of the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm. They packed serious prowess due to their secluded training and cheating Calypsea-induced hysteria in Realm Core Spirits.

On the other hand, Fiora had Zephya and was an Anarchic Divergent.

Moreover, Fiora had a genius son with extraordinary talent for astral cultivation, but his cultivation has yet to show any grand results. If they considered Arc for his potential, then they would have to consider all of their children as well. They were not that silly. For now, they had only considered birthing a descendant a contribution, and the more recent the birth was, the better.

Still, these three still had no contributions that could be taken seriously, and becoming Realm Masters could be considered a reward in itself, so they had to be put in the last round. If it weren’t for Niera’s suggestion, they might not even have gotten the chance to compete.

Regardless, the sixth of them competed for the sixth spot, even if there was a chance that Davis became full and didn’t want the last one anymore.

Finally, the last chosen was selected, finally ending the Harem Council Session.

It seemed like Dalila had finally entered the chamber a few dozen minutes ago, so there was no hurry, but concerning news was brought in.

”Sisters, this is bad.” Tina suddenly shot up, ”It seems like husband somehow caught wind of the matter between Noctis and Thamana Deuce and went to visit her in the Misty Pill Palace before returning.”

”What!?” Isabella’s lips parted in shock. ”Can’t he just take some rest? Why did he have to sneak out...!?”

”What happened?” Evelynn narrowed her eyes.
