Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5305: Sense Of Deja Vu?

Zenova completely projected her emotions to him without any reserve.

To Davis, it couldn’t be any more obvious that she would really drop ten thousand concubines on him if he so asked. She would scour this continent and would even dare go out to the Upper Realms. She would probably defy everyone to bring him the finest of dishes, and his Enigmatic Will wanted to respond to her tributes in kind, intoxicating him to no end.

When his heart and mind believed he deserved all good things in the world because he brought the Golden Era, and his overbearing Will wanted to feast on yin, it was really hard to refuse. Even as he really wanted to drown in the intoxicating wine she offered, Davis smiled as he closed his eyes and reopened them, standing up as he said.

”I appreciate the thought, Zenova. I love you too.”

”...”

Zenova’s eyes gleamed with a crimson flicker. Even as she seduced him with her prideful and rewarding emotions, he still wasn’t falling for it.

She came forward, bowing slightly.

”Your Will has grown even stronger, my love. I congratulate you on entering the High-Level Empyrean Stage. Your cultivation speed in this realm is incredibly faster than anyone had expected, leaving them all speechless, including me. Hearing Jillian Hayden’s account of your achievements, I have no doubt you’re the number one Divergent under the heavens. Esvele, prepare a grand banquet that spans the sanctuary. Since our Emperor returned with glorious achievements, we must make sure to keep him entertained as long as he prefers and share the joy with his subjects for the next few weeks. Use my contribution points if need be.”

”Yes, Mistress Zenova.” Esvele stepped out from the crowd, bowed with her hands cupped, ”I’ll make the arrangements.”

Davis still stared at Zenova, and she also didn’t move her gaze.

If she hadn’t been pregnant, they might’ve already kissed madly. Zenova wasn’t afraid nor embarrassed by public displays of affection. In the end, he removed his gaze from her, afraid that he would traumatize the children.

”Father~”

”Yay~”

He turned to look towards Everdream and Evergrace, lifting them up to escape from the predatory gazes of his wives. If he chose anyone now, it would surely make them envious. The two little pumpkins cheered to be carried out of the many siblings in the crowd, showing him with kisses on his cheek.

”Hahaha.”

Davis laughed jubilantly.

His gaze panned over everyone. His entire family was here. This was his life’s work, but suddenly, he noticed something strange.

’Wait... wait... wait... where the hell is my Natalya!?’

A sense of deja vu crept up in him.

He had seen Mingzhi arrive and leave. He had seen Stella peek out of the spatial vortex once, inwardly scream with an elated expression before turning sad and returning to do whatever work there was behind that spatial vortex.

However, he had not seen nor sensed Natalya.

His laughing tone changed a bit as she put the two kids down and gazed at Evelynn, ”Where is Natalya?”

Evelynn blinked.

Her silence made Davis feel his stomach fall, but seeing the others shake their heads with a rueful smile, he put down the worry swelling in his head, his expression turning amused.

”Don’t tell me refused to leave with you all when I gave the command?”

”Indeed,” Isabella touched her forehead, appearing troubled, ”This second sister of ours is too much to handle. When faith turns mindless, and she demands she be left alone and would wait for you to come back and fight to the death with you, there was no convincing her, so we worked together to seal the palace she was secluded in and uprooted it, storing it in my life ring.”

”Wha-haha...”

Davis laughed with a bit of amusement and anger. He suppressed the latter since they had sealed his goddess. It wasn’t for fun that he had also started worshiping her and vice versa. It was real, and it was infringing on his newly created reverse scale. They were blaspheming his goddess.

But his Will was more overbearing, allowing him to not turn zealous beyond compare like Natalya. It allowed him to control himself. He should just be careful not to fall to the corruption.

Davis waved his hand, ”Alright, alright, release her, or else Eden will cry.”

”Who will?” Eden narrowed his eyes. His golden hair flowed freely while his emerald eyes showed no vitality. He was still a nine-year-old, but his voice was as cold and without emotion as ever.

”Mother needs to suffer. Only then will her craze for father stop.”

”See?” Davis pointed at him and gazed at everyone else, ”He only cares about his mother and doesn’t give a damn about me, his father.”

”Ahaha~”

Isabella and the others laughed in response, but Eden didn’t seem provoked at all.

In their eyes, he was very cute.

Cute as he may seem now, they didn’t want him to continue being cold and emotionless because of his physique. Jillian Hayden had already promised to see and cure him to the best of her ability, as she had mentioned for the other kids. The official stance was that she was brought as a poison apothecary, but Evelynn had also mentioned that Davis might be romantically interested in her, so they gave her due respect.

Shirley walked over and whispered something to Davis’s ear, causing him to blink, ”Really?”

”Yes,” She sent a soul transmission, ”She’s at the cusp of breaking through and requires your presence, but has made such strange ritualistic preparations. I fear it will break something in our family, but we’re all close, and I don’t mind. It’s just, I fear the little sisters will start looking at her strangely and distance themselves from her.”

”I see. Then no need to release her now.” Davis understood their pain while stopping his laughter from bursting out. He nodded a moment later, ”No wonder I felt my Will flicker with her manifestations the past few days when I was comprehending the techniques left behind by the Sky Word Emperor. She is calling out to me, but didn’t disturb me at all...”

”...?” Shirley turned dumbfounded, ”You two can communicate through your Wills?”
