Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5115 Hayden Family Also In A Predicament?

A strange fluctuation spread invisibly as Evelynnʼs vertical third eye glowed with a mix of crimson, green, and black.

The young manʼs pupils didnʼt even tremble faintly. He didnʼt even notice it as the hex was concealed by the serpentine mask made just for her by Sophie. No one noticed anything. Even he himself remained completely unaware that a formless and silent hex had already seeped into his blood and soul.

Evelynn slowly withdrew her gaze and focused on the far-away hex dots that appeared in her mind, ”Since she is in seclusion, then perhaps another time.”

It was spreading rapidly.

There was one in front of her, but it had yet to begin spreading.

The young man smiled apologetically in response, ”Perhaps next time.”

========

Davis nearly jumped when he saw Evelynn use a combination of three hexes to attack Dallon Hayden.

”You-”

He said speechlessly through their hex link. He was also capable of seeing through her vision, which made it all the more incredulous to see her entire gaze flashing with three deadly colors before it seeped into Dallon Hayden.

Evelynn had been constantly updating him on what was happening to the Miredon Family currently.

After all, even though they had the theory in their mind with the help of Hexena Xylusc, they didnʼt know the practicality. Evelynn hadnʼt tried her new powers on anyone yet, so this was her experiment.

He had heard that the tri-hex was rapidly spreading in the Miredon Family from the carriers like a plague, but it was limited to their bloodline, so it shouldnʼt spread outside of them for the most part, according to their understanding of the theory. Now that Dallon Hayden was hexed, this fatal tri-hex was bound to spread to the entire Hayden Family members!

Now that they at least knew it would spread to the entire bloodline, why was she using it on the Hayden Family?

”Why did you do that?” Davis asked.

”The Haydens deserve to die!” Evelynnʼs voice echoed as though she said it through clenched teeth.

Her sinister aura crazily swirled around within their link.

”That woman- how dare she try to poison you and then follow another man away!?”

”What?”

Davis was unaware of Evelynnʼs findings, and she didnʼt explain them to him either. He was clueless when he suddenly heard the Steward knock on his door.

”Brother!”

At that moment, the door was pushed open without his permission, and Saint Riyal Mendez rushed in with his hands spread, ”It feels like itʼs been a long time yet not.”

He smilingly staggered forward before stopping and beckoning behind him, causing a purple-black robed woman to enter as she was pushed inside.

She trembled faintly, and the moment she saw City Lord Kain, that trembling became even more prominent.

”I heard that she belonged to you, brother Kain.” Saint Riyal Mendez chuckled, ”They said that a little bird successfully rescued her from your clutches, but as your brother, how can I stand by and watch that happen while doing nothing?”

He strode to her and gestured at the two of them, ”So I brought her to you after their family begged me to take her as a servant because her reputation was already in ruins.”

”But donʼt worry. She is ʼsincereʼ in wanting to return to you. She didnʼt follow me and even rejected me, but her father and the Patriarch forced her to come with me. I had to play the part of a good Saint so I could get her here, and in return, they earned my favor, which wonʼt be much in the long run. In any case, sheʼs all yours, brother. Now, if youʼll let me meet the First Madam, that would be amazing.”

”…”

Davis was simply dumbfounded by this turn of events, even though he kept his face stone cold as City Lord Kain.

This damned Saint was bold enough to offend Venerable Knight Lussandra? Chances are that she was practically outside!

Nonetheless, he was both infuriated and sorry for this woman before him.

He was infuriated at fate trying to end this woman for no apparent reason other than to expose him, while he felt sorry for her because her fate seemed to be somewhat greatly changed by him- his presence.

He figured that she most likely died after using the poison on herself in her original fate when she was about to poison City Lord Kain who wasnʼt impersonated by him, but now that he had personally saved her and caused the fate to go on a roller coaster of ripples, it inevitably plunges her into suffering a fate worse than death with her getting played by the powers around her and with even Evelynn involving herself in this matter, actually hexing the Hayden Family now.

The Hayden Family was doomed if the tri-hex spread in its entirety.

Nonetheless, even with what he was feeling, Davis felt the need to keep up the act.

He walked towards Jillian Hayden, whose eyes were filled with terror.

Once he stood in front of her, he grabbed her cheeks with his hand and squeezed lightly.

”You escaped with the help of a Heavenʼs Warrior who is a personification of righteous and justice. You were brought back to your family safe and sound, but what did they do? To protect themselves and increase their status, they sent you to the Saint to become his servant. Where did that bring you? Back to me.”

City Lord Davis grinned evilly, causing Jillian Hayden to shudder in despair.

On the other side, Evelynn was also dumbfounded.

So Jillian Hayden wasnʼt at fault? She didnʼt follow the Saint of her own Will?

But with her tri-hex, consisting of a combination of crimson Blood Hex, green Poison Hex, and black Demon Hex, or in other words, Blood Hex, what was going to happen?

She used her third eye to extend her focus and recognized that tri-hex had already spread to dozens of people within the vicinity after Young Master Dallon Hayden had excused himself, after failing to get any information worthy of attention from her.
