Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4145  Dealing With Aric Stormsong

Aric Stormsongʼs head was captured by the goal. His head then sank to the ground and rolled back a little before his eyes saw Davis approaching him once again.

”Weʼll announce it to the world and kill them one by one until that Soaren Goldsun idiot shows up. Since the Divine Emperor of Death values friendship and is said to have even come to the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Minor Realm to save them, he will surely show up again. Even if he doesnʼt show up due to the Covenant, he will send his allies. Weʼll rip them apart one by one.”

Davis recited in a monotonous tone until he stood in front of him and reached out his hand.

”Isnʼt that what you said?”

Aric Stormsong appeared in Davisʼs hand again. He was held like a severed head of a doll.

He cried and whimpered, shaking his head to that question. He denied it.

*Pow~*

Another slap fell on Aric Stormsongʼs face, severely making his cheek swell.

”Youʼre lying now?”

Davisʼs expression was grim.

”Hmmhhm!!!”

Aric Stormsongʼs muffled scream indicated his pain, but his pleading gaze also made it seem like he wanted to say something.

However, the problem was Davis didnʼt want to hear his voice. He was sick and tired of letting these supreme geniuses survive. He would love to make this guy the first example to all the other supreme geniuses out there who think they could deal with him however they want. However, he simply couldnʼt kill this pathetic man because of the Covenant. Naturally, he couldnʼt command the others to kill Aric Stormsong either.

He couldnʼt even show the slightest hint of wanting to kill anyone below the Empyrean Stage and the others thinking they were doing him a favor or following his words or intent at the moment.

Of course, his sworn brother Soaren was pissed and willing to kill if it werenʼt for the killmark that he would receive upon killing Aric Stormsong. The two old-timers of the Goldsun Clan who were killed by Aric Stormsong made Soaren full of killing intent.

But right now, Soaren was with his family. The same could be said about Andiron and Fenren.

It seemed like they finally realized the value of family after a long time of separation and survival. At the same time, he knew those three were probably engaging in dual cultivation with their exorbitant number of wives, trying to satisfy them.

Davis guessed that was why they hadnʼt come out for six days. He could tell their wives also craved their attention because their husbands had evolved into a new lifeform. By having dual cultivation with them, they would also have a vast chance to improve their cultivation quickly and learn new Laws.

Nonetheless, he let his brothers have fun. They deserved it.

Thatʼs why Aric Stormsong was able to survive this long here.

”Capture her. Tonight, Iʼll give her the opportunity to rectify her mistakes and join our cause. The Stormsong Family always hunts Divergents so she can eventually redeem herself!”

Davis recited again, this time, his teeth clenching and his eyes swirling with a deathly vortex.

”Isnʼt that what you said to El-na Goldsun, my brotherʼs wife?”

”…!”

This time around, Aric Stormsong vehemently nodded his head.

Davis simply threw him away before he could accidentally kill him.

When he turned around, the others had to lower their heads as though they were afraid not to incur his wrath.

The killing intent in Davisʼs eyes slowly faded.

”HHHMMMM!!!”

From a distance, a miserable voice suddenly resounded.

Everyone turned to look and saw a black-robed woman stabbing her finger into Aric Stormsongʼs forehead.

When she took her hand back, it didnʼt seem like there was a hole in his forehead. However, his expression started to twitch violently.

”Rokushi Mirai…”

Davis looked at the black-robed woman and commented. Her silver hair shimmered amidst the starlit night sky. Like an assassin, she was draped in a black cloak. He knew of her stunning beauty as he had taken a good look when he subdued her.

What did she want, and why did she stab Aric Stormsong?

Before he could ask, Rokushi Mirai opened her mouth without a change in the expression behind her veil.

”My death venom eradicates almost any kind of soul contraptions. It will take some time to dissolve the killmark, and this man will finally succumb to the venom and die, but he wonʼt be dying an ordinary death as his soul would be feeling extraordinary soul-ripping pain the entire time.”

”I see.”

Davis didnʼt really make any other comment that would warrant him having sanctioned this move. He simply felt that this was good since he didnʼt want to see Aric Stormsongʼs face anymore. Whatever pity he had for him was lost when he came back to make trouble again. That feeling became more violent as he heard him once again try to make a move on El-na Goldsun.

She wasnʼt exactly unrelated to him. He had saved her from a poison once before, and that became the start of their friendship, eventually leading to them becoming sworn brothers with Soaren.

Now, he felt relaxed.

Dying while being devoured by a deadly venom? That was one of the worst ways to go.

He felt Aric Stormsong totally deserved it. He couldnʼt care less about profits when matters devolved to this extent.

Rokushi Mirai provided him with a valid solution to the problem of killmark as well. Even if her venom didnʼt work, only she would be marked. Therefore, it didnʼt matter. He could simply send her out for some time on some mission with high pay until she resolved that killmark on her own.

After all, she was willing to be a hired mercenary or assassin. She was even a tutor for Schleya all this time.

Back then, he had easily subdued her because she used the black-white stone against him. He easily countered her with Fallen Heaven. If it werenʼt for that, he wouldʼve beaten black and blue. Therefore, he knew how dangerous she could be.

He also wasnʼt worried if her venom would fail. The Dreadcoil Necrofang Viper was a Grand Saint Magical Beast, and she possessed its blood and could use its venom. It was filled with death-attribute, and because of its lethality, it could even harm cultivators an entire stage above the user.

It was a terrifying poison.

”What?” Davis saw that Rokushi Mirai was still staring at him.

Rokushi Mira seemed hesitant before she moved her lips, ”Iʼve hit a bottleneck in comprehending Death Laws. Teach me or loan me the black-white stone for some time.”

”I told you, Rokushi Mirai. If I had to steal it, itʼs not coming back to you.”

”… Iʼm asking for a loan.”

”Canʼt do. Itʼs important for my survival.”

”…” Rokushi Mirai went silent.

Davis felt that it was enough to tease her before he nodded, ”However, I would be willing to teach Death Laws to you. The problem is to see if-.”

”I have contribution points.”

Rokushi Mirai waved her hand and displayed a purple token. It had the word ʼDavis Familyʼ etched into it.

”…”

Davis almost got embarrassed to see his name on a token. It wasnʼt his first time seeing it, but the way Rokushi Mirai displayed it made him feel like his authority was being invoked against him. If he wanted, he could void it, but it was his responsibility to uphold any transaction made using this token.
