Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4143  Plans To Conquer?

Davis had called the Heavenly Blight Hall before he sent the packages.

He did it by using the talisman that the other Dark Apostles gave him. These assassins were truly fast, taking only a day to appear. Since he had urged them to be fast, perhaps they rushed here with all they got, using their utmost resources. He didnʼt know where they were, but considering the distance, he thought they shouldʼve been one or two realms away.

Then, they delivered him nine Luminarch Memory Veil Stones as he requested. After using it, he sent them away. They took three days to get into position and deliver the gifts simultaneously.

Everything went as planned.

On the fifth day, accurately— the seventh day of the third month after the Covenant was established, Davis once again returned to the meeting spot he had set up with the Heavenly Blight Hall. He didnʼt reveal the location of the Second Void Dust Sanctuary.

Currently, they have four Void Dust Sanctuaries.

The First Void Dust Sanctuary was in the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm. However, it had been destroyed since it was found. They self-destructed it, and the seed was taken back.

Then there was the Second Void Dust Sanctuary in the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm. The Third Void Dust Sanctuary in the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm. The Fourth Void Dust Sanctuary in the Goldlust Rat Minor Realm and the Fifth Void Dust Sanctuary in the Obsidian Crystal Minor Realm.

These four sanctuaries were still safe, devoid of prying eyes. However, other than the Second Void Dust Sanctuary, the other sanctuaries were still in the process of being consolidated. They were finished, but they hadnʼt expanded to their full size yet. It would be slowly done when Stella has the chance to visit the realms.

Currently, she doesnʼt have a technique to grow them in her absence, so she needs to be there or create a new technique.

Nonetheless, looking at Dark Archbishop Cyprusio, who was clad in a white robe and had his eyes closed, Davis listened.

”The nine Realm Masters have successfully received the packages, and it is confirmed that they all watched them on the spot. Their reactions vary from silent terror to open outrage, but none of them seemed to have made a move so far. It is possible all of them are waiting to see someone make the first move.”

”However, Realm Master Thousand Windblades has gone missing once again. It is said that he killed his own sect people and left the Verdant Vale Sect. The Heavenʼs Warriors have issued an arrest warrant for him. His crimes are all coming to light one by one as a few people under him are confessing to his evil deeds.”

”…” Davis blinked.

Then he realized he genuinely forgot to give Thousand Windblades an alternative. After all, he had been planning to get Empyrean Grade wind-attribute resources, but it didnʼt really matter since he was going to claim the Verdant Vale Lower Realm.

It didnʼt quite come up to his mind at that moment.

As a result, it seemed to have driven Realm Master Thousand Windblades over the edge.

ʼHaha… he is no longer a Realm Master…ʼ

Davis shook his head with a light smile, not intending to leave him alive as he was thoroughly trash.

”What of the Verdant Vale Lower Realm? Anyone trying to vie for it?”

”Absolutely no one.” Dark Archbishop Cyprusio laughed in a clear and gentle voice, ”Initially, it seems the surrounding realms had fought over it, but they didnʼt seem to have succeeded. The Realm Core apparently rejected everyone despite being active. Many think that this has to do with the melted surface. It is rumored that it wouldnʼt accept anyone until it is fully or nearly healed.”

”I see.” Davis nodded.

He didnʼt bother to reveal that it was because of Calypsea.

”What about the Ghostly Crow Realm Master?” He continued asking.

”Thereʼs an open show of outrage from the imperial family and even the common populace as the Ghostly Crow Realm Master is well-liked for his attitude and princely behavior. However, there has been no announcement from the Realm Master himself. Thereʼs a minute possibility that the Realm Master will comply with your demand.”

Davisʼs lips curled in derision, ”Well, even if he instantly complied, it will take nine days for him to read the shameful recording of himself kowtowing in a lavatory, so his answer will not be known anytime soon. For the same reason, I didnʼt give a time limit. I donʼt want to rush him, but his delay will also cost him his life and realm. I want him to agonize over it like I agonized not being there for Myria when she underwent her tribulation.”

”Besides, I really donʼt want to see such a miserable kowtow, so I hope he doesnʼt send it and allow me to take another realm core. The Ghostly Crow Lower Realmʼs Core is mostly darkness attributed in nature. It would be very good to conquer since most of us know Darkness Laws.”

Davis almost laughed as he made a scornful expression.

He really wanted to murder the Ghostly Crow Realm Master. The way he heard it, that damned crow fey sent a powerful and concealed arrow to end Myria, trying to one-shot her. He didnʼt give her any leeway at all.

If it werenʼt for Illumina, his Myria wouldʼve really suffered even if she didnʼt die in the end due to her undying soul.

Davis was full of hate for him. If it werenʼt for the fact that killing a righteous individual like the Ghostly Crow Realm Master would have consequences like bringing the world together, he wouldnʼt have even bothered to give an alternative and made a real example out of him although that depended on if he could leave this realm which he was locked to by the Covenant.

”Fifth Dark Apostle, you really are one of a kind. As far as I know, no other Divergent had the world shaking in their boots this much. You have my full respect.”

Dark Archbishop Cyprusio sang a bit of praise. He had his eyes closed, but the way he had his face pointed at Davis, knowing where exactly he was, meant that he could still see. It was unknown how he was doing that.

”…”

Davis didnʼt react. Heʼd be willing to buy that praise if he had done that by himself. In all honestly, using Calypsea didnʼt sit well with him. He wanted her to be much more peaceful and tame so she could control her destructive impulses. He didnʼt know if feeding into those impulses would have negative consequences or if Calypsea would manage to suppress such innate desires.

He hoped it would be the latter and merely nodded after a few seconds.

”What else do you have for me?”

Davis knew that he couldnʼt control Dark Archbishop Cyprusio left and right like he could do an ordinary or even a high-ranking assassin of the Heavenly Blight Hall. Cyprusio was the intermittent leader of the Heavenly Blight Hall in the Lower Realms, and that meant he enjoyed the same privileges as the Hall Master during the absence of the Hall Master in the Lower Realms.

The Dark Apostles were incapable of bending him to their Will.

However, the Dark Archbishop Cyprusio really seemed to have taken a liking to him, likely enamored by his terrifying achievements in a short period of time. He was practically kneeling in front of him.

”Thereʼs nothing else, but if you can give me the opportunity, can I know when youʼre planning to truly conquer the Verdant Vale Lower Realm? Is it after ten years after the Covenant?”

Dark Archbishop Cyprusio excitedly asked.

”…” Davis didnʼt open his mouth.

He didnʼt even know how or when he would do that. He had vague ideas and planned to set the ideas in motion later. After all, conquering the Verdant Vale Lower Realm now would only invite trouble, and there wasnʼt nearly a good way to protect the area around the Realm Core or its master.

Thatʼs why he first had to set an example of destroying another Realm Core and then make everyone fear him enough not to go near that area even if they knew he conquered it. The Ghostly Crow Realm Master and his realm would be the first sacrifice, but it was unknown if he would take the bait.

If it succeeded, only the Heavenʼs Warriors would invade, but that could be taken care of by the powerful experts in his family.

He only needed to ensure that his people did not get surrounded by immense numbers. Otherwise, they could get exhausted to death.

”Could be sooner. However, Iʼll pay a visit to a very important person here very soon.”

Davis just left a few words, but that intensely excited Dark Archbishop Cyprusio.

It seemed that this life had become boring with boring and uneventful days for the past hundreds and thousands of years, but now, he couldnʼt wait to see the Divine Emperor of Deathʼs next move.
