Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4099  Elysian Jadesoul Foxʼs Power

”…”

Lest Mistwalker considered it for a few moments before he nodded, ”Alright.”

He gestured to Davis and Everlight inside, and he first served them tea, treating them with respect and relegating himself to a subordinate position.

Davis didnʼt say anything about that, and neither did Everlight. The two of them drank tea, not caring if anything harmful was introduced into the drink. After all, they were nearly impervious to all kinds of poison with their life energy.

Besides, poison or even anything numbing wouldnʼt work fast enough, so Lest Mistwalker would simply be courting death if he mixed poison into the tea.

After a sip, it became clear to them nothing was filled.

Davis kept the tea down on the table and stood up. He walked to Lest Mistwalker and checked his body by touching his solar plexus and sending a wave of soul sense to check his dantian.

Honestly, it was his first time checking a Transcendentʼs dantian. It belonged to an Autarch at that, so it was vastly different than what he could tell.

From the point he checked, he arrived at the lower dantian, but the middle dantian was also visible since the three cultivation systems were interconnected by the Transcendent Wheel.

Above the lower dantian, he could see a colorless wheel encompassing the heaven and earth. It spun slowly as though it was a revolving core, but it wasnʼt. It surrounded the middle dantian but was its own independent entity. Above the wheel was the upper dantian.

It was far away, but he could still see it from here. Since the Immortal Vessel and Immortal Soul Vessel were separate, to see the upper dantian wouldʼve been nearly impossible from where he touched. Still, in the Transcendent Cultivation System, it seemed possible.

This wheel was truly astounding to look at, a complete marvel.

Davis could see that there was an outer layer of the wheel as though it was the rim of a translucent tire. Three spokes also radiated from the center of this wheel, extending into three different directions before they connected to the outer edge of the wheel from the inside. They were called the three axes of the three cultivation systems, each axis corresponding to Body Tempering Cultivation, Soul Forging Cultivation, and Essence Gathering Cultivation.

Increasing the energy of this wheel allows the cultivation base to rise simultaneously. That is why this wheel was a marvel.

Right now, there is a sphere on each axis. Rather than a sphere, it appeared to be some kind of node. It was incorporeal, rather dull and tame.

Davis had heard about these nodes before. These nodes were what Autarchs created in order to progress in their cultivation base.

Right now, there are only three in the three axes. However, more nodes will be added at the next two levels, so by the time an Autarch reaches Level Three Autarch Stage, they will have nine nodes- three nodes on three axes, three nodes in the upper rim, and three nodes in the lower rim.

But right now, Lest Mistwalker only possessed three nodes in the three axes, which indicated that he was at Level One Autarch Stage.

Eventually, these nine nodes will turn more corporeal and light up from Level Four to Level Six Autarch Stage. After that, they will be ignited into flames from Level Seven to Level Nine Autarch Stage. This process was entirely easy as all they would have to do was consume transcendent crystals to increase, and their three cultivations would automatically increase along with it.

It was a slow process and required massive amounts of energy, but it was still faster than the immortal version of the stage.

Davis nodded. After he was done checking, he took back his hand.

”Yeah, youʼre screwed. Not only are the three nodes in the axis extremely incorporeal, there are also some cracks in the edges of your wheel, constantly leaking energy. At this rate, youʼll regress to the Sovereign Stage and receive a huge backlash that will jeopardize your future.”

”…”

Lest Mistwalker could only wryly smile. He already knew this himself. He didnʼt have to be reminded of his hastiness. He stood up and cupped his hands.

”Please heal me.” He bowed.

”Are you sure you want that? Your wheelʼs tier has fallen from the hasty advancement, hasnʼt it?”

”…” Lest Mistwalkerʼs heart shook, but he smilingly nodded, ”I am aware. Please heal me.”

”Healing you is as easy as flipping my hand, but I canʼt heal your cultivation. That is something that you need to deal with on your own unless…”

Davis trailed off, causing Lest Mistwalker to blink. Suddenly, he turned attentive as his eyes turned wide before he firmly cupped his hands.

”Please guide me.”

Davis smiled, ”… Unless you regress almost naturally.”

”…?”

Lest Mistwalker couldnʼt understand.

How was he supposed to regress naturally? If he dropped, a severe backlash was going to hit him, and he would be unable to stabilize his cultivation further, causing him to remain at the peak of the Sovereign Stage for a long time.

After all, his foundation was already ruined. If he ruined it a second time, the wheel was only going to crack more and even degrade.

Unlike an Immortal Vessel, a Transcendent Wheelʼs tier could improve or worsen, from the Fifth Tier to the First Tier, and this tier also determines how strong their wheel is. Without a strong Transcendent Wheel, they wouldnʼt have a significant boost to their prowess but more importantly, wouldnʼt be unable to advance, so if he continued on this path, he wouldnʼt be able to break through above Autarch Stage.

His end would be at the peak of the Autarch Stage- if he got to live that far, that is.

As a supreme genius from the Prismatic Dream Upper Realmʼs Mistwalker Family, how could he stop there? He could go further.

He still hadnʼt given up hope. After all, it was just a matter of resources. He believed that if he could return to the Upper Realms and do some treasure hunting, he would be able to restore his Transcendent Wheelʼs Tier. Only- increasing the tier in the Sovereign Stage compared to increasing the tier in the Autarch Stage made it the difference between heaven and earth.

The amount of resources one would require become monumental as a transcendent advances in stage, so most supreme geniuses would increase their Transcendent Wheelʼs Tier as early as possible.

”Do you want to safely regress to the Sovereign Stage?” Davis asked.

Lest Mistwalkerʼs heart leaped. He knew the Divine Emperor of Death wasnʼt the one to kid around, so he threw himself to the arrow and nodded.

”If itʼs possible, yes.”

Davis couldnʼt help but smirk. That smirk appeared wicked to Lest Mistwalker, not knowing what he had gotten into.

”Everlight, use your species technique on him.”

”Okay~”

Everlight stood up.

”A species technique…?” Lest Mistwalker muttered. He was unable to recall any magical beast that was capable of that. He tried hard to remember but quickly got cold feet as he realized something as soon as he listened to their next words.

He was a sheep for an experiment.

”See to what level you can regress someoneʼs age and cultivation. If you canʼt control it, thatʼs fine. Maybe it wouldnʼt be bad if he became a baby. We can send him for adoption to the Mistwalker Family.”

”Yes.”

”Wait-”

Lest Mistwalker raised his hand and walked back, but he hit a soft and fell down on it.

But quickly, he found himself covered in a layer of silvery-gray light. It overwhelmed his senses, causing him to go stiff. His body naturally tried to fight back, but the life energy pacified his resistance, disallowing him to put up a fight.

Davisʼs gaze flickered. This could actually be used as an offensive technique.

”Life Reversal To The Source~” Everlightʼs melodious voice echoed out rather belatedly.

It seemed that she was also excited to see the limits of her powers.

*Bzzz!~*

Lest Mistwalkerʼs undulations quickly dropped, and he regressed to the Sovereign Stage. It kept coming down, but at this moment, Everlight tried to control the technique and disperse it without harming Lest Mistwalker.

With a wave of her hands and making a few hand signs, she finally controlled the regression and managed to disperse it.

The process barely lasted a minute.

However, Lest Mistwalker had already regressed to Level Nine Sovereign Stage. However, he sat there shocked, discovering that not only had his cultivation regressed, but the damage done to the cultivation itself was gone. The Transcendent Wheel was unharmed, remaining at First Tier and not Second Tier like just a while ago.

It almost brought him to tears.

”Boss, I donʼt know your methods, but youʼre truly awesome. It is already known that you can almost heal anything, but to think that you can take care of what was haunting us just by flipping your hand and commanding a fairy to regress my cultivation. You have my utmost respect.”

Lest Mistwalker was truly moved.

It was very difficult to raise the Transcendent Wheelʼs Tier in the Autarch Stage. This saved him an enormous amount of time.

Davis checked his cultivation and saw that it was just as Lest Mistwalker said.

By regressing, the damage also disappeared. This was also a form of healing.

ʼOne that is attained by life and time energy…ʼ

Davis was honestly taken aback by Everlightʼs power. It was powerful and could render an enemy useless. But naturally, this was a tame power, so he knew the resistance needed to be less, or it was Everlight who was going to receive the backlash.

It couldnʼt be used unless the opponent wasnʼt overly powerful.
