Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4112  Goldsunsʼ In Danger

Quickly, the Stormshadow Sectʼs disciples rushed forward into the street, apprehending anyone who stood in the path. The items on sale were also confiscated as they openly plundered in the name of punishing sinners.

Numerous cries for help rang out but El-na Goldsun was unable to do anything.

An Autarch was right in front of her, an existence that she had rarely ever had laid her eyes upon even in this world. However, even that Autarch wasnʼt exactly hostile. In fact, he looked at her with a pitiful gaze.

”Good, very good.”

Aric Stormsong nodded, appearing very satisfied as he saw the people line up with ropes tying their hands. Only after he saw those lowlifes cast hateful gazes did he feel alive again. He waved his hand, white lightning shooting out and striking that old man who was at the forefront.

*Bang!~*

With a single attack, his body was roasted, and a burned smell of flesh and blood wafted in the area.

”Ahhh!~”

Only then did the people realize that someone had been killed in broad daylight in the town and cried out fearfully. They moved back like cornered rats, trying to hide behind each other with terrified expressions.

”Old man…” El-na Goldsunʼs gaze shook.

She didnʼt even know his name yet saw him every time outside, trying to trade and maintain a business.

”Hahaha! Wonderful. Feed his corpse to my pet dog. That sinner would at least be useful in death.”

Aric Stormsong clapped a few times before he gestured to one of his people.

One of the Stormshadow Sectʼs disciples, the tall man, hurriedly nodded and moved to retrieve the corpse of the old man.

”Nooo!!!”

The old lady was already shedding tears, but when the tall man came to take his corpse away, she went crazy and self-detonated.

”You fucking old hag!”

That tall man didnʼt even seem to bother. He directly brought down his lighting palm, suppressing the detonation easily. As a Level Three Sovereign, he easily withstood the self-detonation of Monarchs or, in this case, Immortal Kings.

”Hahaha! A job well done. Who are you? I must bring you back.”

Aric Stormsong praised the tall man as he looked amused. The tall man brought back the corpse of the old man and fed it to the dog in the back. It was a thirty-meter-tall giant mastiff, its royal fur covered in an incredible number of lightning runes. As an Immortal Emperor Beast, it was capable of decreasing its size to less than a hundred meters. It varied upon its original size, but the fact that it was still thirty meters tall after decreasing in size meant that it was absolutely massive.

It should be at least two hundred meters tall.

Nonetheless, after feeding the charred corpse to the mastiff, the tall man quickly turned around and responded.

”This humble self is called Kalith. I am pleased to make your acquaintance, boss.”

”Kalith…” Aric Stormsong nodded, ”Youʼre capable. Round these fellows up and bring them to my battleship. Weʼll announce it to the world and kill them one by one until that Soaren Goldsun idiot shows up. Since the Divine Emperor of Death values friendship and is said to have even come to the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Minor Realm to save them, he will surely show up again. Even if he doesnʼt show up due to the Covenant, he will send his allies. Weʼll rip them apart one by one.”

He chuckled wickedly, causing the others to nod in approval.

It was as though they were seeing the wits of a true genius.

In their perspective, the silent protector behind Aric Stormsong alone was enough to kill most of the allies the Divine Emperor of Death had.

Suddenly, Aric Stormsong heard a thud. He turned to look at the source and saw a crimson-robed woman who seemed to have fallen to the ground as though her legs went limp.

He frowned, ”Why isnʼt this woman arrested?”

”This…” The Stormshadow Patriarch answered, ”She is the third wife of that sinner and has some influence in this clan. If she is taken, then their Grand Elders would surely intervene.”

”Do I look like I care?” Aric Stormsong glared at the Stormshadow Patriarch.

ʼEven if you donʼt care, my head will roll if the main branch heard that I allowed outsiders to punish the sinners. Capturing them is already going overboard, but theyʼre just the commoners of the Goldsun Clan. You canʼt capture the royals of the Goldsun Clan…ʼ

Stormshadow Patriarch inwardly grumbled but kept a smile, ”Of course, this woman isnʼt worthy of your attention. Capturing her will surely attract sinner Soaren Goldsunʼs ire and make him fly into a rage into coming here, but if we are that obvious, then the Divine Emperor of Death might just lock him up in order to safeguard his own hideout.”

”Oh…” Aric Stormsong looked as though he had just realized something but then suddenly glared at the Stormshadow Patriarch.

”Are you mocking me?”

”I dare not.” The Stormshadow Patriarch shook his head.

Aric Stormsongʼs expression wasnʼt good. He turned his head and waved his hand towards El-na Goldsun.

”Capture her. Tonight, Iʼll give her the opportunity to rectify her mistakes and join our cause. The Stormsong Family always hunts Divergents so she can eventually redeem herself!”

El-na Goldsunʼs expression was aghast. No, it wasnʼt because she was aghast since Aric Stormsong wanted her to warm his bed but because the old man and the old lady were dead. They went out in a gruesome way. She hadnʼt even gotten their names. Normally, she wouldnʼt even have the chance to interact with such people as she would be cooped up in the palace. But after she got to know many people and even took care of the old couple, she naturally formed a bond with them, but it was just ruthlessly torn today.

She couldnʼt bear it anymore.

”As you please, boss!” Kalith directly flew towards El-na Goldsun.

He was looking forward to teaching this woman a lesson, and now that he had the chance to do so and, at the same time, please a supreme genius like Aric Stormsong, he couldnʼt be any more joyous.

Once he appeared in front of her, he reached out his hand to grab her wrist.

*Szzzz!~*

But abruptly, her golden flames soared, causing him to stagger and fall back. He took his hand back and saw a charred mess, causing him to clench his teeth and growl.

”You bitc-”

”You want me with your broken thing? Pei!”

El-na Goldsun coldly glared at Aric Stormsong before she spat out to the side, her eyes full of disgust and scorn.

”Thereʼs no way you have an intact member after the miserable thrashing you received from Brother Davis. I doubt it is even there. I guess it must be true, considering that thereʼs not even a single female disciple beside you. I donʼt see your fiancee either. A pity… I bet sheʼs in bed with another man right now, experiencing true bliss.”

”…”

”…”

”…”

There was a deafening silence for who knows how long before Aric Stormsongʼs expression was heavily contorted. His killing intent oozed out, causing him to take a step forward as he growled.

”Die!”

El-na Goldsun couldnʼt see anything. The area in front of her turned into a crackling zone of white light. It was too bright, causing her eyes to narrow deeply until she could no longer see, but she knew she was dead. Even with numerous calls for Aric Stormsong to stop, she knew she was doomed.

ʼAt least, itʼs better than being taken by him…ʼ

El-na Goldsun breathed a heavy sigh.

ʼIn the future, I hope I am reincarnated as his wife again. Maybe I shouldʼve asked for that legendary Viridian Afterlife Path Tree Fruit that may- but I guess thatʼs only useful for mortals…ʼ

ʼIf thereʼs anything I regret… I guess itʼs not leaving behind our legacy… I wish I couldʼve spent more time with him instead of cultivation… I… I… wait… why am I still not dying…?ʼ

El-na Goldsunʼs eyelids fluttered open, her eyes watery. In a world full of white radiance of terrifying lightning strands stood a figure before her. He was towering as ever, both in her life and in her heart. Even though the figure was blurry and the features were different, her heart skipped a beat as she recognized him in an instant.

”Soaren!”

El-na Goldsun jumped and hugged him, her tears spilling out like tidal waves as she instantly melted in his embrace.

”There… there…”

Soaren caressed his third wifeʼs head with fondness, ”Iʼm back, so please donʼt cry. Iʼm sorry for making you worry.”

”Wuuu!~”

He got only more crying in response, causing him to turn awkward before he picked her up and turned to look at Aric Stormsong, who also recognized that he was there. Killing intent oozed out of his eyes, and the silent protector who guarded Aric Stormsong, who had remained silent all this time, made a move.
