Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4142  The Recording Ends

After the recording ended, Davis turned to look at Eterna, who had run away with Calypsea.

She was waiting on the side. However, she couldnʼt take it anymore and threw a light-distorting veil over it. That was the thing that hid the other people. Then she instantly came over and brought Calypsea away, wanting to play.

”…”

Davis could only smilingly shake his head since he brought Calypsea here mid-game. She was indeed playing with the other kids. Although there were still some points to be careful about, they all approved of Calypsea mingling with their kids.

She had learned to control her apocalyptic flames and not attack people even if they were to be slightly aggressive or prank her, after all. She was even able to hide in a flying ship by nearly withdrawing her aura to herself, even if she couldnʼt conceal herself.

For a destructive spirit, that was a feat that deserved recognition. Hence, they allowed Calypsea to have full freedom to play with the other kids.

However, Davis could also tell that his little Eterna was also jealous of Calypsea. It was not over Calypseaʼs power or cuteness but the attention he gave to her. He knew because the other kids also possessed similar expressions.

If he had to guess, he imagined it should have to do with how he treated Calypsea.

He praised her a lot. He gave her candies a lot. Her popularity also increased heavily after many people knew that she was able to damage a realm core. Now, she was praised by all, overshadowing every other child. Naturally, they wouldnʼt like it.

However, they also knew they couldnʼt fight with her since she was so powerful. The only choice left for them was to pull Calypsea under their ranks.

It was quite the little royal palace elementary school arc going on here, making him laugh, but he didnʼt take it too seriously as he had faith the children would find their own answers. As long as he let them clash and they see each other eye to eye, he figured their bonds should strengthen as a result.

He hoped that they could all become friends with Calypsea.

The truth was that most of the children except his children feared Calypsea. Therefore, Calypsea spent time with Eterna and his children, most of the time under Leaʼs supervision, using her avatar. Calypsea didnʼt know anyone else to play with due to this.

In the same way, Calypsea also took on Eternaʼs mannerisms. The way she laughed and giggled around was similar to Eterna. He could see that these two were good friends already. However, even among little friends, jealousy existed.

ʼSigh… if only Eterna knew that Iʼm not spoiling Calypsea with praises and candies but actually using her like Iʼm doing child labor…ʼ

Davis sighed ever so lightly. The truth was that he felt guilt over not being able to let Calypsea grow as a child.

Calypsea may be barely three years old, but in terms of appearance, she was definitely around eight years old. She was still an infant spirit, but like many other spirits, it was unknown when she would have a sudden outburst of growth.

For example, Starcy, Sophieʼs flame spirit, was also an infant spirit, but she had already matured.

On the other hand, Iesha was sixteen years old when he met her. She looked a bit older for her age but still young. This may have had to do with the fact that she was not a pure wild spirit but a spirit born from procreation. It made her grow from a baby to an adult.

A wild spirit born out of heaven and earth possessed a completely different growth process and growth rate. They didnʼt start from a baby. They started from being a level above a toddler. In this case, Calypsea would resemble Starcy, quickly maturing as long as she reached a particular stage.

So the fact that she still hadnʼt matured could only mean that point could be in the Late Empyrean Spirit Stage or even the Exalted Spirit Stage.

At this point, Davis really wondered if Calypsea was just a Heaven-Tier Spirit or was ranked above like Lereza. He had also heard about Lerezaʼs origin. It was a pleasant surprise that he hadnʼt expected.

With powerful experts like them, he didnʼt need to worry about others if he needed to step out.

”How did it go, Mingzhi? Did you think I was cool?”

The veil receded, causing Mingzhi and many others to come into view. She curled her lips into an amused smile.

”Cool? Instead of the ruler of death, you were more like an apocalyptic lolimancer, threatening the world with a little girl.”

”…”

Davis coughed, ”Alright, forget it then. How do you think the result will be?”

”Itʼs Elliaʼs idea.” Mingzhi wryly smiled, ”I was too worried about the implications to see that it could be done this way, too. However, we would only be able to buy a little time before you will eventually be forced out, but I guess that was incorporated into this plan. How do you want to go about this matter? Do you really want to venture out?”

”Hmm.” Davis nodded, ”The specifics could be discussed later. First, let me deliver this to the messengers.”

”Okay, weʼll be waiting.”

Davis soon left the Second Void Dust Sanctuary and traversed in the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm for a while. He appeared to be moving aimlessly, but he was traversing following a peculiar pattern in order to trace the assassins who gave them these imagery stones.

Soon, he came across them, causing him to stop.

In front of him was Dark Archbishop Cyprusio and many other powerful assassins.

”What do you require of us, Fifth Dark Apostle?”

”I want you to deliver these gifts to nine Realm Masters, preferably at their doorstep, to create a fearful stir inside their hearts.”

”Understood. We will successfully deliver the contents to your preferred location and achieve your desired target. Now, you just need to wait for the completion of the vision.”

”Alright”

Davis nodded. It irked him a bit to rely on the Heavenly Blight Hall for this matter. However, he had no other reliable source than them.

As expected, the Heavenly Blight Hall was flawless in its work, leaving the gift right in front of their palaces seamlessly. The Realm Masters took the gifts and played them, leaving every single one of them absolutely speechless and terrified.

This news soon began riding the second wave, causing all the realms to cry out in anger and terror
