Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3495  Throwing A Tantrum?

Eldia turned shocked.

The annihilative heavenly wind blade was extremely fast, but it wasnʼt a match for her reaction time.

*Bang!~*

Her lightning body blinked, piercing through the annihilative heavenly wind like tofu before she re-manifested only her upper body, glaring at Zephya with a thunderous rumble that resounded her doom.

”Waaa!~ Fiora~~~”

Zephya turned tail and dashed towards the distance as though afraid that Eldia would counterattack. She sped into the distance, traversing with an incredible speed that made Davis raise his brows.

Even while having a low prowess, her speed was comparable to Eldia, only lacking a bit.

However, he blinked, wondering why Zephya wasnʼt stopping even though Eldia didnʼt give chase.

Before he knew it, she was out of his sight, but he realized that direction wasnʼt where his city was. Surely, Zephya should know the direction since he brought her here.

Did Zephya just… leave…?

Or was she simply not good with directions…?

”Eldia… wait here a bit…”

Davisʼs expression turned solemn. He didnʼt want to worry Fiora, and the way Zephya cried out didnʼt seem to be normal.

Using Space Laws, he directly crossed space, traversing tens and thousands of kilometers with each spatial vortex he opened. It took him less energy to traverse through space once he was out of the Divergent Peak.

However, he began to worry as Zephya didnʼt seem to be heading towards his city.

ʼNo way… was she serious about me…?ʼ

As far as he could remember, Zephya had only playfully flirted with him, teasing him every time from the beginning. He had no idea she was serious, and even if she was, he didnʼt want to bother her as he didnʼt love her, but if she was throwing a tantrum and running away, it could only mean that she was hurt.

After fourteen spatial vortexes and ending up in the Northern Divide, Davis saw her Zephya hiding herself in a windy region where tornadoes and hurricanes were plenty. The tumultuous winds did nothing to impede him as he passed through them, finally looking at her seated upon a mountaintop as she had her arms wrapped around her legs, shoving her face between them as she kept shuddering.

Davis was honestly angered.

He didnʼt like deserters, but seeing that his words hurt her, and this may be nothing more than an emotional outburst, he didnʼt take this foolish action of hers seriously, or even if he did, he knew he would decide to give her a second chance as no one was harmed.

Sighing lightly, he touched her shoulder, which felt smooth yet airy to the touch.

”Zephya… what are you doing…?”

Zephya didnʼt react. Her body still trembled, and sniffling sounds could be heard as though she was crying.

”Iʼm not coming back…”

Davis wryly smiled. Now that he used Heart Intent, her feelings couldnʼt be any more obvious. She was hurt because she loved him, and he said cold things to her, but he honestly didnʼt think a spirit would love him out of her own Will!

Thinking back, he got with Iesha only because he invaded her soul sea. In her language, that was essentially violating her, so he felt like he had to take responsibility no matter what and courted her of his own volition, managing to obtain her love and making her his wife.

As for Eldia, he slowly cultivated love with her, wanting her because she was his spirit, but even getting her to understand what love is was so hard.

But for a playful spirit like Zephya to fall in love with him, he was really confused- no, it intrigued him, making him think such a thing shouldnʼt be possible.

”Alright, alright. Donʼt throw a tantrum now… Fiora will be sad if you donʼt come back…”

”I know…”

Zephya answered, causing Davis to raise his brows, ”What?”

”That is why I stopped here…” Zephya finally raised her head to look at him, her emerald eyes had gone red as she tightly pressed her lips against each other, looking at him in an aggrieved manner.

”I adore Fiora, and I have always looked at you from Fioraʼs soul sea… seeing you love her and her sisters, even spirits so much…”

She looked away, misty tears falling down her eyes before they dispersed along with the wind.

”I have tried to get you to like me so many times, but… you donʼt care about me… you donʼt turn to look at me…”

”Wait…” Davis reeled back.

That wasnʼt how things went from his perspective, as no matter the time and day, Zephya had always been teasing him. Even when he created the Tempestuous Firestorm Obliteration Physique with the help of Zestria, Fiora, Zephya, and Eldia, Zephya was still making sexual jokes as she and Eldia had watched him dual cultivate with Zestria and Fiora hundreds of times.

They had no choice but to. After all, they were making the environment suitable for him to cultivate.

”Zephya, I-”

”If I am nothing to you, I might as well be the wind to Fiora… just nothing…” A layer of sadness emanated in Zephyaʼs voice.

”No, Fiora loves you and wants you even without me. Youʼre confusing that youʼre disposable.”

Davis touched Zephyaʼs shoulder again, ”And Iʼm saying no, youʼre not disposable. You are a part of our family.”

”Really…?”

Zephya raised her head to look at him, her eyes holding a kind of hope that melted Davisʼs heart.

”Yes, but not in the way you think.”

Zephyaʼs face glowed but as soon as she heard the latter sentence, her expression wilted, turning cold as she shoved her face on her thighs. The origin of this chapterʼs debut can be traced to /n/o/vel/b/in.

”Come back.”

”No…”

A silent whisper swayed in the wind, causing Davis to sigh. He felt like he could restrain her and bring her back as he knew she was only throwing a tantrum as it wasnʼt going her way. She didnʼt want to leave, but she wanted to obtain him.

Eldia arrived at this moment, landing beside them as she sparkled like lightning.

She approached Zephya and sat down beside her, causing Zephya to stand up and leave.

However, Eldia grabbed Zephyaʼs hands, disallowing her to leave.

”What do you want?”

Zephya glared at her, appearing to be not amused, as she felt like this spirit was the reason she wasnʼt getting any love from Davis.

”Darling, is Zephya fine? I felt some distressful emotions from her through our spirit pact and waited for some until I decided to contact you, but she is still in distress… Did anything happen…?”

Abruptly, Fioraʼs voice sounded out, and both Zephya and Eldia turned to look at Davis holding a messaging talisman.

”…”

Davis didnʼt know how to answer. He attended Fioraʼs call because he knew she would be worried about Zephya, but he couldnʼt possibly say that Zephya was throwing a tantrum about wanting to be held by him, could he?
