Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3494  Finally Free?

”Master, do you need Zephyaʼs heavenly flames to giv-”

”Shh.” Davis placed a finger on Eldiaʼs lips, ”You do not talk about such things right underneath the presence of the tribulation, or it might become a bit more difficult for Zephya.”

”…”

Eldia blinked adorably before she nodded her head.

Davis also nodded and returned his gaze toward the skies.

Some of his women naturally knew he had some method to make their tribulations easier. He had never said it to them, but if they thought about how he could imbue karmic sin to create pills, then they could also derive he had similar methods to make their tribulations easier or worse.

They never asked him about such things, and since they were with an Anarchic Divergent of the highest order, they knew many things were better left unsaid.

*Rumble!~*

The ninth annihilative heavenly lightning strike fell, weaving through the sky as it descended on Zephya. Unlike the other eight strikes, this was a dragon that seemed to possess a sentient Will. It was thick and fat, carrying with it an enormous amount of energy that sought to destroy its foe.

It naturally cast a look at Davis, causing him to wrap his arms around Eldia as he shielded her. She actually shuddered in his embrace as though a chill shot through her spine.

*Ripp!~*

However, its gaze only stayed for a moment before it weaved its way slowly, but before it could even make its way halfway, a silver-green crescent blade pierced it from the side, causing it to shudder before it disintegrated as the annihilative might behind it canceled out its own, leaving behind a chunk of dispersing heavenly lightning strands.

*Rumble!~*

The clouds changed colors ever so lightly, flashing with an apocalyptic purple hue.

Davis knew the Annihilative Heavenly Yin Tribulation was brewing.

He wondered if Zephya would be okay. He had already warned her to instantly attack those yin strikes the moment they intruded into her soul and do so twice since the karmic curse from the annihilative yin remains to destroy their biological function to give birth to progenies.

However, he didnʼt think she needed to attack twice since Eldia said that the annihilative yin didnʼt target her womb. But still, he warned her for her sake.

Three seconds later, the icy-purple light that brewed beneath the humongous array of dark crimson clouds shone with a devilish gleam, encompassing the world.

Davis and Eldia narrowed their eyes, only to see the atmosphere return to the apocalyptic crimson of the tribulation clouds.

His gaze was on Zephya. However, he couldnʼt see her as she was still engulfed in annihilative heavenly flames.

*Rumble!~*

He waited for any movements before he heard the heavenly tribulation rumble, causing his lips to curl.

”She passed…”

”Yay!~”

Eldia stood up and turned into a streak of lightning, but he caught her leg, telling her to wait.

Only after the tribulation clouds were ninety percent gone did Davis make a move. Although the tribulation had already ended when it unleashed the last strike, he still knew the heavens could be angered if it was disrespected enough.

Eldia followed suit.

She breezed through the shattered annihilative lightning strand, directly absorbing them into her stomach, and like last time, she didnʼt get fat either, appearing to be capable of eating much more as though she had an endless appetite for heavenly lightning.

”Thatʼs enough, Zephya. Destroy the annihilative heavenly flameʼs Will.”

Surrounded by crimson-gold flames that seared the atmosphere, Zephya appeared to protect herself using annihilative heavenly wind.

A low hum could be heard before the silver-green wind expanded suddenly, encompassing the crimson-gold heavenly flames.

Zephyaʼs figure came into view. With a swift and graceful motion, she spun around, causing silver-green blades to swirl within a quarter-kilometer radius, causing the annihilative heavenly flames to be stacked against each other before she exited the sphere and sealed them in it.

”…”

Davis gave her a surprised look.

He felt that it would be difficult to kill the Will of the flames with wind, but he knew if her annihilative energy was unleashed, they could scatter the flames. However, she instead sealed them without harming them much.

There was still plenty of energy left in the crimson-gold flames.

However, Davis shook his head.

”Kill it. Otherwise, the heavenly tribulation wouldnʼt completely leave…”

”I killed it…”

Zephya voiced out. She seemed to look elsewhere, appearing unamused.

Davis narrowed his eyes but saw that she wasnʼt lying as he saw the tribulation clouds completely disappear, leaving behind the destructive aura that was natural in this region.

He turned to look at the wind barrier, his brows raising,

”What did you do?”

”I used the seamless property of the annihilative heavenly wind and projected it unto the Will to make it collapse. I tried it before but couldnʼt, but with the tribulation clouds leaving, they became easier to destroy…”

”Ohh…”

Davis returned his gaze to Zephya, nodding at her, ”You did well, Zephya. You will definitely be rewarded.”

Zephya finally turned to look at her, her phoenix eyes appearing interested in this reward. She saw Davis head towards the annihilative wind barrier, causing her to cancel it out.

The terrifying heat of the annihilative heavenly flames soared out, but they were suddenly encompassed by a wave of pure white energy that calmed their sizzles. The flames became tamer by the second before they no longer made a fuss and appeared to be gentle flames.

”You did an excellent job, Zephya.”

Davis couldnʼt help but praise her again.

She didnʼt cause the flames to die down much, allowing him to obtain a significant portion of annihilative heavenly flames. By his calculation, only one percent of energy was lost from the three strikes of these crimson-gold heavenly flames.

Since this was the case, he could fulfill his promise with Fairy Thunderblaze and still have half left for his own use. He could even feed that gluttonous Calypsea with this, as he did give Lea his promise about finding high-grade Fire Elementals for Calypsea to snack on.

As he refined them and extended his life energy to also help Eldia refine annihilative heavenly lightning, he opened his mouth again.

”Are you fine? Did you get hit by the annihilative heavenly yin in your soul or womb?”

”No~”

Zephya smilingly shook her head, ”I wasnʼt struck anywhere the entire time. The annihilative yin wouldnʼt even be able to move an inch, much less towards my womb, as I encompassed it with my heavenly wind. After all, no one is able to touch me, for I am the manifestation of heavenly wind.”

”Haha.” Davis chuckled at her prideful tone, ”Thatʼs good to hear.”

As she said that, Davis saw her figure undergoing a tumultuous change in aura. She broke through the Immortal Emperor Stage, becoming even more powerful than before as her body underwent a significant change.

The runes on her body changed, and Davis could see them clearly and feel the resonance this time as they were inscribed anew by her own body breaking into the Immortal Emperor Spirit Stage.

”But I will allow you to touch me~”

”…”

Davis almost rolled his eyes, thinking Zephya was at it again, but looking at her true body, which appeared sumptuous, he was almost charmed. There was also something soothing about her voice, as though she was a ghostly siren, leading men who were lost into her bodyʼs embrace.

He had to gulp his saliva in order to retrieve himself from her undulations that radiated her innate charm stemming from her time as a Sultry Cloudburst Tempest Spirit. She was a mutated Regal Sky Gale Spirit who carried annihilative heavenly wind, but that didnʼt mean she had forgotten her roots.

However, he saw that this charm remained for as long as he was refining the heavenly strands, causing him to narrow his brows.

”Zephya, I would appreciate it if you could stop casting your charm on me.”

”…”

She still didnʼt stop, causing Davis to raise his hand.

Seeing that, Zephya instantly stopped her undulations, no longer using Charm Laws on him. However, she clenched her teeth and fists, appearing pissed off.

”You- what do you find lacking in me? Is it because Iʼm a wind spirit!?”

Davis became taken aback, ”No… I donʼt find anything lacking in you.”

”Then why!? Why do you not take me seriously?”

”Zephya, if I didnʼt take you seriously, I wouldnʼt have asked for your help.”

”You-” Zephya appeared to be stumped before her expression flared.

Her undulations blared from her body, giving off an unstable vibe that made Davis lower his hand, throwing the refined heavenly strands into his life ring.

After collecting the heavenly strands, he turned to look at Zephya, his gaze calm.

”If this is about seeing you as a woman, then donʼt bother. I donʼt love you.”

”…!” Zephya trembled.

”Iesha may have been a princess of a Spirit Empire, but Eldia was a wild spirit like me. How come Eldia gets to be with you but not me…!?”

”Because Master is mine~” Eldia appeared before Davis. She had a provocative smirk on her face as she looked at Zephya.

Zephyaʼs eyes turned teary.

Her body shone with a silver-green light as her undulations swirled around her when she suddenly waved her hand, unleashing an annihilative heavenly wind blade against Eldia.
