Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3453 Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor Dies?

”What if I did?” Zanqua curled her lips in disdain, ”Donʼt act like feys donʼt eat humans. Iʼm sure you two had a taste or two…”

”No, we didnʼt. If you did, we want you to stop it from now.”

”I wonʼt.”

Lanqua said, but Zanqua vehemently shook her head as though she wouldnʼt be able to forget the taste.

”She probably doesnʼt eat meat.” Davis suddenly interjected, ”She drinks blood.”

”Isnʼt that the same?”

Zanquaʼs gaze flickered with surprise, but she still kept a wild expression.

”Nope. You donʼt even drink it through your mouth but inject it straight into your right arm, donʼt you?” Davis smirked.

Abruptly, Panqa grabbed Zanqua from behind, and Lanqua came forward, tearing apart the robe covering her right shoulder.

”You-!”

Zanqua looked at her two sisters restrain her. She tried to move, but Panqaʼs hold was so strong that she couldnʼt believe the latter was an Immortal King. If she tried to struggle with her full power, then they both might get hurt, causing Zanqua to clench her teeth.

Zanqua looked at her two sisters restrain her. She tried to move, but Panqaʼs hold was so strong that she couldnʼt believe the latter was an Immortal King. If she tried to struggle with her full power, then they both might get hurt, causing Zanqua to clench her teeth.

However, instead of blaming them, she glared at Davis for giving them such an instruction.

”Overexertion of veins and muscles, probably the same for meridians, leading it to enlargement that strengthens the base temporarily. The bones of this arm are probably corrupted with bad blood due to the storage of foreign blood essence to use, which has also led to necrosis. Itʼs no wonder you activate blood essence all the time and send your enemies flying or cleaving them apart with your broadsword. It is also a way for you to get rid of bad blood, but each time you do it, you also weaken little by little.”

Davis appeared in front of her, scanning her slightly enlarged right arm with his gaze. It seemed as though numerous earthworms were wriggling on the skin, but they were veins, while most of the patches on the skin were black-purple.

It suddenly made sense as to what she was doing when she took the men into her chamber. She was using yang-attributed blood aura to deny entry into her yin-attributed blood, but it could only go so far as it still corrupted her, albeit very slowly.

”Oh- so this is your secret unorthodox blood art, albeit crappy because it slowly harms both your arm and your blood in exchange for getting to keep and improve your cultivation base without encountering bottlenecks or trouble, although I doubt if it still remains pure, most likely riddled with flaws…”

Davis shook his head, imagining Schleya would be pissed if she came to know someone used a dumb method to refine the blood essence of others. This left plenty of other blood essence in oneʼs own blood, which would lead to many problems in the future as it corrupted oneʼs own blood, leading to a loss of oneʼs own blood essence bit by bit, but with her sacrificing foreign blood essence, each time, it allowed her to keep her cultivation intact.

Davis finally understood. It was no wonder she managed to quickly increase her cultivation despite repeated use of blood essence.

”…”

Zanquaʼs gaze shook, unable to understand how he could tell.

He wasnʼt just a phony or unskilled Saint who could just use life energy but was also a skilled physician?

”What do you suggest I do!? You think I can rise to this level without resorting to this kind of cultivation!? Iʼm not a heavenly genius, dammit…”

Zanqua trembled. She didnʼt like how Davis was looking down on her, but more than that, she hated the expressions of her sisters, who were about to flood with tears as they sympathized with her.

She didnʼt want them to be looking at her with such eyes.

”Zanqua…”

Tears dripped down Panqaʼs face as she heard what her elder sister had resorted to.

Lanqua also bit her lips. Each time she was hard on her elder sister, it was like she was using a blade to cut into her own skin. The struggles Zanqua had undergone shouldʼve been clear, but the more she heard about how she lived her life, the more it felt like someone was stabbing a knife into her heart and cutting it apart.

If Zanqua was only cooperative, they could take care of her, but she remained adamant in her ways, refusing to change. Otherwise, Lanqua and Panqa felt they wouldʼve showered her with plenty of love.

Davis pursed his lips.

Zanquaʼs way of cultivation only reminded him of the story Founder Zenflame said about his son Reselius Zenflame. At that time, Reselius Zenflame also resorted to gaining power through absorbing blood essence, although he limited that to Fire Phoenix Blood alone.

But Zanqua took all the yang-attributed blood essence she could and sealed her right arm using some kind of technique.

This allowed her to seal the foreign blood essence in place but also cause necrosis, causing it to slowly die. Before she could reach death, her right arm would give out first, although he didnʼt see it happening any sooner as she was an Immortal Emperor with a long lifespan.

Nonetheless, he had respect for people who were willing to sacrifice themselves in order to achieve their goals. He felt that is the foremost aspect any weak cultivator should have in order to be able to grow and distinguish themselves from others or survive.

But clearly, that was a suicidal aspect, so he wouldnʼt recommend it to anyone without the usage of life energy. Otherwise, he wouldnʼt be doing it either unless he had no other choice.

”Ugh…”

Suddenly, the Northern Sphere Bandit emperor woke up and groaned in pain.

This caused everyoneʼs attention to turn on him, and Zanqua used this chance to struggle out of Panqaʼs hold and appear in front of the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor.

”You fucking shithead…!”

Her foot dropped on the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperorʼs cheek, causing him to wince in pain as he groaned. She crushed him along with all the frustration and anger she held towards the previous conversation just now before lifting him up and throwing him against a rock.

”Ah…”

The Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor hit a rock and slid over, appearing quite exhausted even though he had plenty of energy left. It seemed like his soul had taken so much damage from the Azure Luminescence Howl that he could barely control his body due to the dissonance he felt.

”Zan… qua… wait…”

He barely managed to raise his hand. It was filled with numerous cuts and even had chunks missing, blood practically oozing out as his blood and body regenerated at an ordinary rate.

”I swear… I had nothing… to do with Jaswellʼs actions. She de-cided it on her own when Deiren rebelled against me… and intended to violate you to get one over me at the day when you were supposed to be handed towards me...”

The Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor trembled, his face producing a rough yet miserable smile.

”I killed him in the… worst way… possible… for you…”

”Yeah, right.” Zanqua giggled, ”I was kidnapped and forcefully groomed for you by Jaswell, but when that time came for you to pick me up but faced a rebellion, you ended up throwing me to their jaws to delay their plan to kill you… and you say you saved me… huh…?”

”Please… believe me…” He pleaded as he shook his head, ”After you killed Jaswell, I didnʼt come for you, did I…? I even made you one of my vice leaders after I took your Cleaving Wolf Gang back in…”

”…!”

Zanqua trembled as she almost raised her broadsword.

”Bitch, after I roughed up that fat bitch Jaswell, I hid far away and deep in the valleys with her still chasing me crazily to kill me. If I hadnʼt become a Late Stage Immortal King, I wouldʼve died in her hands but I was able to kill her and take over the Cleaving Sword Gang after a few years, rename it to Cleaving Wolf Gang. It was only when I became an Immortal Emperor that you stopped sending your bandits against me. Donʼt act like you werenʼt enjoying the process of me coming to you to get revenge so that you could slap me and finally put me in my place. After you know what happened to me, you didnʼt need me, did you?”

”No, I needed you…!”

Hearing the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperorʼs shameless answer, Zanqua forcefully grinned.

”To you… this had been all a game, wasnʼt it?”

She lifted her broadsword high up into the skies.

”Itʼs too bad my sisters managed to gain the Emperor of Deathʼs affection, which cost you your entire bandit group and your life. You messed with the wrong woman, my Bandit Emperor.”

”Wait- no…!”

*PuchI!~*

Zanqua brought down her broadsword, cleaving the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor into two. The rock behind him shattered. His head split apart from above and got severed all the way to his crotch before his split body fell on both sides, causing a puddle of blood to form below.

Zanqua kept staring at the severed body with an indifferent look as though reminiscing her past and realizing that she had been finally freed from her fate as a Northern Sphere Bandit Gangʼs bandit.

Silence reigned in the atmosphere until Davis broke it.

”Didnʼt you want to torture him to death?” He blinked.

”Forget it.” Zanqua looked unamused, ”My hunting plan was ruined by you all, so thereʼs no fun…”

”Thereʼs no need to have fun over getting revenge.”

Lanqua came forward and grabbed Zanquaʼs hand, ”Now that you fulfilled your revenge, youʼre coming back home and accepting our treatment. I wouldnʼt take no for an answer.”

She looked solemn, causing Zanqua to struggle, throwing her hands off a few times in vain before she glared at her.

”Wouldnʼt you just let me do what I want? Weʼre from different worlds, so donʼt bother keeping me with you. Otherwise, I will eventually do something stupid like stealing things from you, as Iʼm still a bandit at heart.”

”In that case, I swear Iʼll punish you. Just listen to your second sister… Iʼm smarter than you or Panqa.”

”You-”

Zanqua clenched her teeth at Lanqua over the blatant disrespect. She only remembered Panqaʼs clumsiness, but she didnʼt remember how brilliant yet adamant Lanqua was as it was hazy in her memories.

*Ta~*

Abruptly, Zanquaʼs eyes widened before she fainted.

Lanquaʼs jaws dropped as she saw Davis chop Zanquaʼs nape with the back of his hand, causing her to faint.

”Just kidnap her and treat her. Speak in a language that she understands. Otherwise, I couldnʼt have even brought her to you two.”

Davis chuckled but reached out his hand and caressed Lanquaʼs cheek, ”The three of you are family and couldnʼt be separated as long as Zanqua doesnʼt go overboard, so donʼt worry.”

Smiling lightly after he said words of comfort, he flew towards the flying boat.

He was welcomed by Threelotus, while Panqa and Lanqua also carried Zanqua back, their expressions moved. They also appeared quite mischievous as they giggled because they felt their man was right.

Words never penetrated Zanquaʼs soul, but actions sure did.

They were family, but they could only tell Zanqua about that if they communicated in her language.
