Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3465  To Beget Death, Is To Forgo Life

Davis walked towards the white-robed beauty seated at the center. She was actually floating above the cultivation cushion, strands of white and black energy floating around her, creating a mystical atmosphere.

Standing in front of her, he also saw that she was unveiled, which meant she acknowledged this place as her home, causing him to smile.

A few seconds later, the strands receded, and she descended, appearing to heave a breath before her eyelids flapped like a butterfly as she opened her eyes to look at him.

”Youʼre here.”

She couldnʼt suppress a smile when she saw him, causing Davis to smile brightly.

That one smile completely had him over her fingertip that he probably wouldnʼt refuse even if she were to say go conquer some land for her.

”I take it that youʼre successful in your simulations?”

Davis sat in front of her on the floor, but before his butt could hit the hard surface, she summoned a cultivation cushion for him.

She kept her hand back and nodded lightly, ”Everything would go smoothly as long as the two of them enter the Immortal Emperor Stage. This pill can bring a destructive tribulation, but we could take care of it, so thereʼs no need to worry.”

”I see.”

Davis continued staring at Myriaʼs eyes as though he didnʼt listen, causing her to avert her gaze occasionally.

”However, there are too many factors involved in the transformation of life and death. Thereʼs a small chance the pillʼs theorized may not come to fruition. It may even prove to be fatal, so if you need anything from me, this would probably be our last discussion.”

”…”

Davis was still staring at her beautiful face, but then something clicked in his mind as he looked at her calm face.

”Wait- what do you mean by last discussion?”

Myria would never die in the truest sense. That was an ironclad rule of her physique unless she was robbed of her primal yin, although that was only a rumor.

Davis asked, but he didnʼt get a reply even after a few seconds. His eyes blinked thrice before he looked away, appearing contemplative before his eyes went wide, returning his gaze to her.

”Donʼt tell me… you have to break your Eternal Life Soul Physique to fuse the Eternal Life Body Physique?”

”Not quite. This pill contains the essence required to create the Eternal Life Body deep within, but the other half of the essence is derived from my Eternal Life Soul Physique itself. Hence, the outer layer of the pill will poison the Eternal Life Soul Physique and dissolve its essence to create the Eternal Life Body Physique. After taking the pill, I imagine that it is going to be excruciating for a while at the very least…”

”…” Davisʼs expression was blank.

”Yes, although the chances are very low, I invented a way… to kill myself for good. Very ironic, donʼt you think?”

Myria lightly smiled at Davisʼs dumbfounded expression.

What was meant to create the Eternal Life Body also ended up being able to kill her if things went south. In other words, she created a poison that was personalized for her. It was not her intent to create such a thing, but the side effect of it could not be avoided.

She couldnʼt tell if she was a genius or an idiot.

”You-” Davis finally created, his brows trembling as he waved his hand, ”Tina and Dalila wouldnʼt agree to create this pill if that were the case.”

”You wouldnʼt either.” Myriaʼs expression was peaceful, ”But this is the only way, so I lied to them and hid it from Ellia and you…”

Davis clenched his teeth. It wasnʼt new news that Myria was able to hide the memories she didnʼt want Ellia to see.

”No, there must be another way. You shouldnʼt go through such dangers…”

”Will you wait for me?”

”Dammit, Myria.” Davis sat up, ”Even if it takes a million years for me to bed you, my love for you would remain the same. In fact, Iʼll study Alchemy myself and create a pill for you in a thousand years. It will have the same effect but none of the dangers. Please trust me!”

He yelled out. The origin of this chapterʼs debut can be traced to N0v3l-B(j)n.

He had been glad that he didnʼt study Alchemy, but he didnʼt expect it to be overturned in half a day that he regretted not learning Alchemy. Nonetheless, he knew he was delusional as it would take immense time to study the Eternal Life Soul Physique and create a suitable body physique for it.

After all, for the time Myria lived, she could only come up with this solution. She could produce another pill recipe that actually doesnʼt endanger her, but that may very well require her millions or, at the very least, another fifty or hundred thousand years of research.

If he borrowed her research, he believed he could speed up the research drastically if he started learning from today. But sure enough, there was no free meal, which made him angry at himself for taking things for granted.

”…”

Myriaʼs gaze shook as she saw him genuinely get incensed for her. However, she simply smiled, her expression once again turning peaceful.

”Unfortunately, I donʼt have the heart to make you wait or waste your time learning such things that wouldnʼt increase your prowess by much. Besides, I donʼt think I can wait any longer. Thereʼs no telling what would happen after we enter the true immortal world, so if you prefer…”

Myria bit her bottom lip before she leaned to the side on the cultivation cushion and made herself comfortable.

”Take me today~”

Davisʼs pupils dilated as he never thought he would see Myria in such a seduction pose, but he forcefully shook his head.

”Are you insane?”

He moved forward and lifted her up, holding her in his grasp.

Myriaʼs cheeks were crimson. It extended all the way to her ears, and she couldnʼt see his gaze. It seemed that she was mentally prepared to let it go today, and, perhaps, the very reason why she paused the concoction and let Tina and Dalila leave to become Immortal Emperors.

She abruptly wrapped her arms around her neck and shot up to kiss him, but Davis dodged, causing her to hold him tightly as she turned around and kissed his cheek.

”…!”

Davis felt himself lose his restraint. He tried pushing her away, but she tightly held him, causing him to turn his head towards her and kiss her lips, pushing her down and gaining control.

Capturing both her hands, he towered above her, finally looking at her determined yet sensual expression as she gasped under him. Needless to say, his boner was hitting her sacred zone, but regardless, Davis retained his sanity.

”Myria, you would lose the protection of your Eternal Life Soul Physique even before you consumed the pill… this is stupid…”

Myria didnʼt resist. She appeared even more vulnerable as she turned around, displaying her delectable pale neck.

”Thatʼs only a rumor. I would rather let my fears go today than make you wait for thousands of years. I know my primal yin is important to your cultivation. Then again, whatʼs the worst thing that can happen? Dying in your embrace? That would probably… make me happy…”

Myriaʼs voice was sonorous and full of longing, collapsing Davisʼs mental fortitude despite bedding four women in the past few days because he loved this woman so much. It would be extremely stupid of him to pass a chance at embracing her after a few years of courtship.

However, it was because he loved her and wanted to live a long life with her that he couldnʼt bring himself to accept her wishes.

He closed his eyes and opened, smiling a bit as he flipped her around and hugged her from behind on the cultivation cushion, appearing to take in her warmth.

”You stupid woman… unless you drug me, donʼt think you can sleep with me today…”

”But-”

Holding her firmly, he kissed her nape, causing her to shiver lightly, ”Fine, Iʼll let you take your Eternal Life Body Pill. If you die, I will revive you even if I have to be thrown to the true immortal world for breaking the word I gave to World Master…”

”…”

Myria remained silent even after his words. But a few seconds later, her eyes reddened, and she started shedding tears as she smiled, her lips quivering.

It seemed like no matter what move they made, there would always be an imminent type of danger waiting to pounce at them. She closed her eyes, finding herself surrounded by his warmth, which soothed her heart and soul greatly as though there was no other better protection she could receive.

A while later, she eventually came out of his embrace, causing Davis to blink as he watched her crawl and sit on his cushion, appearing wildly shy as though realizing what she tried to just do now.

”Come, letʼs discuss ways to improve our cultivation technique.”

Davis acted like he didnʼt notice and took out a scroll. It caused Myria to blink, appearing confused.

”What? Didnʼt I say we will improve the Unfettered Earthly Reincarnation Scripture together? Make it heavenly? Oh, did you actually forget our promise?”

Davis raised his brows, causing Myria to panic.

”Who forgot it…?”

She averted her gaze, appearing to mumble, ”I didnʼt…”

”Thatʼs okay.”

Davis smiled, ”Letʼs make progress on our cultivation technique. I think I can improve this part of the scripture through my wild hypothesis, but I may need your help verifying it…”

He pointed at a paragraph on the scroll, causing Myria to incline her head and read it in reverse.

”Oh? The part where unified life and death splits to create yin and yang forces of reincarnation? Thatʼs my wild hypothesis and has nothing to do with nature.”

Davis raised his brows. They appeared to have the same idea.

”Yeah, I think my reincarnation energy is quite capable of that feat, although I have not managed to do it.”

”Really?”

Myriaʼs eyes went wide, causing Davis to nod.

They went deep into discussion quite quickly as though the matter before was some dream.

”Thank you…”

Sometime later, Myria suddenly uttered while they were discussing quite seriously, causing Davis to raise his head and blink.

”Hhm? Did you say something?”

”Not… did.”

Davisʼs expression almost broke into a smile from Myria messing up her words, but he wisely chose to ignore it, nodding as he continued to improve the Unfettered Earthly Reincarnation Scripture with his lovely Saintess.
