Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3481  The Remaining Way

During their intimacy, Davis checked out Evelynnʼs soul and saw that she was perfectly fine with being able to refine Hexena Xyluscʼs True Soul Essence. She was doing it slowly, but with their soul dual cultivation at the end, it sped up a little bit.

He was worried a bit since she had just given birth, but cultivators were messed up in the sense that oneʼs body healed rather quickly from natural aftermaths as long as there wasnʼt a hostile foreign energy plaguing them.

Due to that same reason, it allowed them to have a great time of pleasure without losing sensation to friction.

Both of them were a bit exhausted, but they soon exited and checked out the spatial formation.

Evelynnʼs cheeks were still rosy from the act, but she remained serious and checked if the connection was still present. Her eyes fluttered every once in a while, causing Davis to narrow his brows.

If a connection was present, she wouldʼve known by now, but the fact she wasnʼt telling it and continued to search meant that she couldnʼt find it.

This made him worry as he would have no choice but to use Founder Alstreim Windstorm as a bridge. He felt ruthless, but that was also the other partyʼs wish, making him quite depressed that he had to trample on his ancestor to bring back his family, not even save them.

It didnʼt make sense according to his priorities, but he didnʼt feel like leaving his family here either, as that would be abandonment as he couldnʼt predict the future. Anything could happen. People like Accursed Warlock or even the ones stronger than him could invade here after the World Masterʼs demise.

No place was safe, so he could only have them beside him. Life and death together sounded more assuring than not knowing if they would stay safe here.

For Founder Alstreim Windstorm, he could simply revive him if he were to die, but to revive a character who sacrificed himself over a karmic bridge could very well be dangerous. After all, Davis knew that whoever he was reviving was very important, but who they got killed or sacrificed by was also very important, as overturning a powerful personʼs decision invites karmic disaster in and of itself as he would also be twisting the karma they had incurred.

Still, he guessed the consequences wouldnʼt be too severe. At least, he felt like he wouldnʼt be kicked out of the First Haven World, but he imagined something severe might happen to the First Haven World, like a spacequake, but of much more significant magnitude.

”Found it…”

”Really!?” Davis revolved, shocked at Evelynnʼs sudden declaration.

He had already given up on this spatial formation since it was half an hour already.

Evelynn nodded, ”Itʼs faint… like a memory, but I need some time to re-establish the spatial connection and a large amount of energy…”

”We have all the energy, so take your time. As long as you can re-establish the connection, everything would be good…”

Davis patted Evelynnʼs butt, causing her to pout as she smiled at him. She nodded again and got to work.

He took a deep breath, feeling all the burden be taken away from him as Evelynn didnʼt give up searching.

She didnʼt seem to understand that she just saved his family or Founder Alstreim Windstorm. He felt proud of his wife again, willing to please her in the bed one more time, but not for his pleasure.

However, he suppressed himself and waited for her final declaration.

Two hours later, Evelynn wiped the sweat off her forehead and rubbed her third eye as though it was painful. She turned to look at him and smiled lightly, ”I got the coordinates using my third eye as there was a faint hex mark located in that place. Probably, that was also how Master Hexena kept hold of that connection for numerous years. Speaking of its lifespan, I guess this connection can be maintained for over a few thousand years and used as long as there is enough supply of energy…”

”Evelynn, youʼre too great.”

Davis bowed his head as he cupped his hands, causing Evelynnʼs cheeks to go red with embarrassment.

”What are you saying? This was due to Master Hexena leaving a hex on the location in case the connection got severed by the spatial storms. Otherwise, I wouldnʼt have been able to find it.”

”I love you.”

”…”

Evelynnʼs ears turned crimson. She trembled like steam was coming off from her head before she pounced on Davis and gave him a passionate kiss. Her soft lips were enveloped in a world of love and affection, allowing Davis to enter nirvana while still being alive.

After the intimate exchange, Davis brought Evelynn back to the Mortal Hex Emperor Purple Palace.

They stayed and had fun with the entire family.

Without anything burdening him, he interacted with everyone, feeling like he was back in the old days.

Ernest Loret and Timi Yael, his half-brother and half-sister, were overjoyed with his return as they cared about him the most among his half-siblings. The latter was even easygoing and didnʼt treat him like he was the Emperor of Death but her own brother, making Davis truly feel she was his sister.

She was his favorite among his half-siblings, while he felt like he could leave the responsibilities to Ernest Loret as he was quite earnest, like his name. He was a responsible person who also cared about the family.

Nonetheless, he also went outside and cracked a hot tea with the Mandate Emperor and the Karmic Guardian Emperor, apologizing for behaving quite pompously because of running out of time.

They didnʼt seem to mind and instead said that was the heaven-given right of an expert, causing Davis to laugh. This was still the cultivation world, and strength was always respected, unlike the true mortal world where anyone could be killed with just a stab to the heart. Hence, a layer of who was better was always present, while in the cultivation world, it was decided by status, cultivation base, and violence.

The consequences hit their faces rather quickly, so most people were aware of their place.

Still, Davis treated them with courtesy and shared information about the First Haven World with them.

After that, he went to get Drakeʼs wives. Apparently, they were also living in the Alstreim Family after Drake left them there in order to give them more protection. It seems Logan promised him full protection for his entire family as long as his family was alive, which was understandable considering Drake decided to sacrifice his life to make sure he was alive.

After making sure that they were in the know, he went back and played with his siblings, ʼplayingʼ as in training Edward and Diana while playing with Evan and Laura. The two pipsqueaks finally warmed up to him.

Three days and three nights later, he arrived before the iridescent vortex and waited for Fairy Thunderblaze to appear.
