Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3331 Complications

Looking at Natalyaʼs reaction, Davis didnʼt press on.

He returned his gaze to the ceiling and appeared to go silent for a few seconds, where he wondered what Shirley was doing as he had given her Killian Zenflame to torment. It took him a few moments to imagine how excruciating his death was going to be when inflicted with numerous torture methods before Davis came out of his reverie, his lips moving.

”If you canʼt say it due to some complications, thatʼs fine. Just donʼt do anything dangerous.”

Natalya turned to look at him, her lips curling into a wide smile.

”Youʼre the best~ Umah~”

She kissed his cheek heavily and pecked more with her lips fluttering.

Davis chuckled as he lay down and cherished the intimate moments. He didnʼt distrust Natalya one bit and let her do as she pleased, for she was obsessed with him and wouldnʼt even look the other way. As for her safety, he didnʼt need to worry much as she was in her soul body, and Tia guarded her from karmic attacks.

Natalya reiterated something similar and said that he didnʼt need to worry and that what she was doing was all for their family, causing Davis to nod.

”Iesha, protect Natalya in case sheʼs clumsy enough to make a mistake…”

”Eh…”

”I will.”

Ieshaʼs voice was firm while Natalya echoed a noise of protest.

It caused Davis to chuckle as his hand roamed over their salacious peaks, evoking a low sigh or a seductive smile from them.

”You two shouldʼve already got the High-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Yin Essence Orb, Ice Essence Orb, and a bunch of other resources, including the heavenly resource, Shadow Yinwood Nectar, so get to cultivating soon and become as strong as Shirley and the others. Otherwise, there would be a power gap thatʼs harder to fill.”

”We know. Weʼve never given up anyway. Itʼs just, Iʼm taking a side-quest, as Mingzhi would say…”

”So sheʼs in this too.”

”Ugh-” Natalyaʼs expression fell.

”Donʼt worry.” Davis shook his head, ”I wonʼt pry further, but promise me if it gets dangerous, you will contact me no matter what…”

”I promise!~”

Natalya instantly echoed.

The whole reason they didnʼt let Davis in on this adventure was because it would get dangerous in so many ways. For one, that mini realm she sneaked into might not be able to handle his divergence and collapse. After all, a natural disaster like a spacequake could hit anytime, and pocket spaces werenʼt like ordinary or original spaces.

They wouldnʼt get restored and cause the denizens inside it to be crushed and torn apart as the mini ream collapses, making them suffer an excruciating death.

In fact, she felt this was not a side quest but a main quest since Tia placed utmost importance on it.

As far as she knew, Tia and those two definitely werenʼt acquainted much, so the fact that Tia begged her to go save them, telling her that they were her friends and would be extremely useful to Davis, was suspicious in and of itself.

However, she agreed. After all, they were indeed her friends whom she befriended like she befriended Tanya, but in her mind, the harem was a closed or tight-knit group, so Natalya didnʼt see the need to go save them for Davis even if they were highly useful unless they were going to become his women.

This made her wonder what exactly was going on in Tiaʼs mind as she seemed entirely different.

Then again, this was their karmic guardianʼs request, so she couldnʼt possibly treat it like nothing happened.

She only downplayed it as a side quest as she didnʼt want Davis to interfere and cause Ivy and Jade to die instead.

”Speaking of which, youʼre fine with not having an immortal child, right, Natalya?”

Davis asked with his lips pursed as though he was afraid to ask.

He had only intended to tease her, but her figure was too much for him, causing him to be unable to hold back.

”Oh. It doesnʼt matter, dear.” Natalya giggled, ”Immortal or not, I know your child would be set for greatness. Even if thatʼs not the case, I donʼt care as long as they donʼt do embarrassing things out there with the ridiculous wealth we have.”

”Aha. Donʼt worry, everything they do after becoming a teenager would be up to them, but if they want to remain in the family, they better learn to follow the rules I would set up sooner or later.”

”Do you have the heart to exile them?” Natalyaʼs brows raised while she still smiled at him.

”Weʼll know when the time comes.”

Davis spoke in a profound manner, causing Natalya to nod.

She also felt rules were a must, as they were the cornerstone of order for any faction. Without it, things would quickly deteriorate.

For the harem, there was the absolute ruler, their faith, the Emperor of Death, but for the children, what could possibly bind them?

It was more likely they would do anything in their power to defeat him or try to prove themselves to him and do something stupid in the process.

Natalya knew she wasnʼt the brightest mind, so she was anxious for the future of her children, and thinking of children, she couldnʼt help but turn to look at the other woman in the room.

”Would you be willing to have a baby right now, Iesha?”

”…”

Iesha blinked at Natalyaʼs question, causing the latter to giggle.

”My dear husband. Iesha says that she wants to spend more time with you but is afraid the more time spent could become less time for her.”

”I… I will have his baby…!” Iesha interjected with a panicked expression.

It was as though she didnʼt want to have this talk, but Natalya raised her brows as though stating that she should have this talk.

Naturally, Davis understood what was going on as the moment Iesha got pregnant and gave birth, she might no longer exist.

After all, a female spirit could only have a limited number of children, and when they reached the limit, they would die. The chances of dying only grew with the number of pregnancies they had, with each pregnancy becoming twice as hard as the one before. It was stated as a natural cause, and immortal spirits were no different.

Actually, female immortal spirits had it even worse as they could die even before birthing an offspring, especially Heaven-Tier Spirits. Unless they find some heavenly resources that could increase their chances, they could forget about procreating or should be willing to die.

Davis had naturally heard about the worsened chances for female immortal spirits.

It was always in the back of his mind and was, perhaps, the reason he didnʼt interact with Iesha much in an intimate matter and vice versa. Whenever he was around, she also didnʼt pine for him, giving him more space than any other women in his harem, but in another perspective, it could also be because if she was intimate with him and got pregnant, then she could die.

He thought numerous times about how to avoid this by using Fallen Heavenʼs life energy or simply resurrecting Iesha after she died of childbirth, but in that case, would the children have an accursed fate like him?

He couldnʼt tell and had to try, but what other spirit wife did he have to try?

Heck, he imagined Eldia would have it even more difficult to have a child with him in case they did become intimate with each other. After all, she was considered a Heaven-Tier Spirit!

Ieshaʼs expression was one of sorrow as panic left her face. She gazed at Davis, moving closer to him for comfort.

”I want to have your child, but I… I donʼt want to leave you. I donʼt want to leave Natalya…”

Her eyes puffed, and crystal tears fell out, her white pupils glistening with love and longing for them.
