Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3315 Relentless Death

In an unknown location, a palace stood alone on top of an inconspicuous mountain. Not only was the mountain range engineered in a way to conceal this place, but there were also many concealment formations that shrouded it.

Inside the palace, far beneath the visible layers of the palace, there was an underground chamber.

In the center of the chamber lay a pool of crimson blood, thick and viscous. Its crimson hue formed a stark contrast against the muted tones of the chamberʼs features. The pool glistened under the ambient light, casting an eerie reflection that danced across the polished surface.

Suddenly, there was a spark from a mechanism at the very center.

Ripples of dark red undulated as if the very essence of the chamber had been tainted by an extraordinary presence.

Instantly, the blood began to coalesce, causing the metallic scent to spread heavily.

Despite the unsettling scene, the surroundings were quiet before an entity formed from the condensed blood, causing a heart to form before it extended into many other parts and formed a torso.

A mangled face appeared while it was forming, causing its lips to curl.

”Emperor of Death, youʼve done it! You pushed me this far!”

Soon, four limbs extended out, and they finally turned into a naked man.

King-Tier undulations emerged from him, rocking the palace above. However, the strange thing was that this man eerily resembled Ancestor Reselius Zenflame! No, this naked man was the Ancestor Reselius Zenflame himself!

”You caused me to abandon my ambitions and adopt the King-Tier Blood I kept for reserve!”

Ancestor Reselius Zenflame was furious.

This resurrection... he didnʼt even want it, for it meant abandoning the path he wished to pursue.

He had revived as a King-Tier Level One Immortal Emperor Stage Fire Phoenix Fey as he reconstructed his body through reviving with the help of an Emperor-Tier Fire Phoenix Soul he enslaved and the blood essence of three King-Tier Fire Phoenixes.

After countless years of research, he ended up coming up with a cruel method.

By severing one of his physical souls with unorthodox methods and allowing it to immerse and fuse with the blood essence for millions of years, in addition to having an enslaved Emperor-Tier Fire Phoenix Soul stored in the mechanism, perform the resurrection upon his death as the condition, he knew he would be able to revive.

For this, he sacrificed an Emperor-Tier Fire Phoenix and two King-Tier Fire Phoenixes in the span of five million years while the unneeded blood essences or soul essences went to his descendants.

As a result, he was finally revived!

In fact, with how powerful the Emperor-Tier Soul was in terms of reviving, he didnʼt doubt one bit it would fail to resurrect him.

However, he was still mad!

Originally, he had set this up in case he died in the true immortal world, but never did he expect it to activate while he was still here!

”Fuck!”

He roared, but his eyes went wide as he suddenly fell to the bottom of the empty pool, smashing on the surface face-first.

His face hurt, but he tried to get up.

”What…?”

However, he wasnʼt able to move his body, causing him to inwardly roar.

It wasnʼt until a minute he was able to move his fingers slightly, and after two more minutes, he was able to move his hands to prop himself up.

ʼThereʼs dissonance between the soul and the body…ʼ

He guessed that this was caused by the dissonance between two entities, namely the Emperor-Tier Soul his soul was reborn into and the King-Tier body it reconstructed.

He did think of having an Emperor-Tier Body, but that would mean the chances that the enslaved Emperor-Tier Soul might instinctively overwhelm him and cause the owner of the Emperor-Tier Fire Phoenix to be reborn would be higher. He didnʼt want to take such a chance and decided that he could improve his bodyʼs bloodline later on.

Hence, he imagined he ended up in this state.

But suddenly, he felt his soul tremble, causing him to shake uncontrollably.

He wondered what was going on when he heard someone walk into the underground chamber, causing his scalp to turn numb.

ʼNo… it canʼt be… it must be my loyal slave Terah…ʼ

*Thud~*

But right in front of his eyes, a crimson-robed female fell as death energy seemed to have corrupted her entirely. She seemed to have died already.

”Yours?”

Came an amused sound from above, causing him to shudder crazily as he looked above and saw the Emperor of Death at the edge, his teeth clenching.

”HOW-!?”

He roared, but it was like a whine, causing Davis to chuckle, which further enraged Ancestor Reselius Zenflame.

”How are you able to find me no matter where I am!?”

Davis thought for a moment before he took out a similarly half-naked man.

”Iʼm a master of karmic tracing arts, and I have your descendant to thank as his presence allowed me to locate you anywhere in the First Haven World.”

”Kil-li-ann!!! You ungrateful- pui!”

Ancestor Reselius Zenflame spat a mouthful of blood while Killian Zenflame was trembling like crazy. He didnʼt even see his Ancestor but enclosed himself in a fetal position as he heard the voice full of hatred, wanting to exit this nightmare.

”…”

Davisʼs lips curled as he threw back Killian into the life ring.

Of course, this time, he didnʼt trace using Killian Zenflame but used Ancestor Reselius Zenflameʼs soul essence itself. Even if Ancestor Reselius Zenflame had thousands of hiding methods, they would all prove to be useless when he held something so karmically vulnerable like a soul essence.

”Give up. Youʼre in checkmate.”

He raised his hand and displayed something.

”!!!”

It caused Ancestor Reselius Zenflame to experience the shock of his life as he saw Davisʼs hand.

There was a core on Davisʼs hand. It was the core that controlled the formations here. But that was not what shocked him because he could sense his soul essence above it, wanting to come back to him but was forcefully restrained by the Emperor of Death.

He couldnʼt understand. Was something like holding oneʼs spiritual soul even possible, much less someone elseʼs?

ʼNo wonder… no wonder there is heavy dissonance… because my revived soul is collapsing as we speak…ʼ

With his spiritual souls not returning to him, he was only bestowed a few days of clarity at best before his physical souls started to fade, making him mindless. Eventually, he would be nothing more than a wild beast looking to sustain himself by eating everything in his view.

Ancestor Reselius Zenflame lowered his head, finally sitting on his back and exhaling ever so lightly.

”What do you want to know?”
