Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3305 Battling The Fire Phoenix Clanʼs Ancestors

Davis didnʼt intend to massacre the Immortal Kings first, but seeing their devotion, he was moved. He was convinced to get rid of them as their devotion could reach his family and harm them, but his reasonable mind that didnʼt want to be a slaughterer unless required decided to leave it to fate.

He had no proficiency in fusing Enigmatic Heart Laws and Death Laws, so there was a high chance they couldʼve all escaped from his enforcing commands.

However, fate was cruel.

His half-hearted try at fusing Enigmatic Heart Laws and Death Laws succeeded, causing them to die.

However, he wasnʼt saddened. He was full of joy. He could see himself approaching Fallen Heavenʼs level, and this time, he was confident that it wasnʼt a mere illusion anymore as Fallen Heavenʼs techniques were also nearing their limit in terms of what it could do, leaving only a few parts to be explored.

He was slowly being able to do what it was able to do, making him half-drunk with this newfound fusion. He wanted to test it more, but there was no way he could try that against High-Level Immortal Emperors since if there was a backlash if they successfully defended against it, heʼd be doomed.

ʼNext… I should try fusing Karma Laws with Enigmatic Heart Laws, but perhaps… next time…ʼ

He saw the Grand Elders and Ancestors finally see the trail of his retreat and manage to locate him even before the sea of scarlet flames could die down.

Their figures flickered, and he could sense their auras approaching him at a fast speed as they spread out as though intending to surround him, somewhat even convinced that he didnʼt have that calamitous little spirit with him.

However, he was ready.

Fallen Heavenʼs scroll manifested inside his soul sea, erupting with a deathly sea. It filled his soul sea and burst forth, making his sapphire eyes pitch-black. They filled his entire soul, traversing through his body as it formed a weapon in front of him.

A pitch-black scythe appeared in his grasp. It solidified as an energy manifestation, but it also appeared to be in a liquid or gaseous state at the edges, exuding a deadly aura that chilled the atmosphere as the blade curved across his back.

*Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~*

Eight Grand Elders, including Seil Zenflame, appeared. However, hovering beside them each were the five Ancestors. Their appearances were old, but they were anything but weak as they exuded Level Seven and Level Eight Immortal Emperor undulations, far more powerful than the Grand Elders, who were only at the Level Five and Level Six Immortal Emperor Stages.

Together, they locked down the space with their flames, appearing to want to trap him and kill him once and for all.

Indeed, they thought that he didnʼt have Calypsea and came here foolishly, but they couldnʼt understand how he was faster than him. Considering the instantaneous speed he just unleashed, it shouldʼve caused space to collapse in his wake, but for some reason, it was as though he didnʼt meet with resistance- no, there was indeed a trail of torn space, but it was minute, making them feel that he used space to his advantage, not knowing that it was wind instead.

Regardless, they didnʼt want to let him escape.

The five Ancestors looked solemn and secretly gathered their blood essence to burn. Even if they had to use their lives as a sacrifice, they were prepared to bring an end to the embodiment of calamity. No- it was better said that their lives existed for a moment such as this dangerous outcome. Otherwise, they could only die of old age.

ʼThese chickens canʼt even sense its seamless might…ʼ

On the other hand, Davis let them surround him all they wanted.

In his eyes, they were basically entrapping themselves with him. However, knowing that he couldnʼt be careless, he took a step to the side and burst forth with an incredible speed as annihilative heavenly flames propelled him, and annihilative heavenly wind made his path free of resistance as much as it could, easily allowing him to appear before an old Ancestor, his movements controlled by the precise control of annihilative heavenly lightning.

”You-!”

That Ancestor he had just chosen appeared to be a Level Eight Immortal Emperor Phoenix Fey.

His gaze flickered, unable to believe the speed that the Emperor of Death could use before he clenched his fist and punched out. His white hair swayed, turning crimson red as though his vitality was revived for a moment before his entire body burst forth with scarlet phoenix flames.

His folded fist stretched out into five fingers before combining them into three claws like a talon, further using the entire energy flowing through his body to congregate towards his claws in order to perform powerful technique from the Fire Phoenixʼs Scarlet Flame Records, Fire Phoenixʼs Outlandish Talon.

It was said to be even able to pierce through a similar-leveled turtleʼs shell, carrying with it a deadly momentum of slicing through the mountains.

Davisʼs pitch-black scythe came in contact with the Fire Phoenixʼs Outlandish Talon of that old Ancestor. The moment they clashed, the old Ancestor smiled as he knew he won because he felt some impact, but it was so weak that he felt like he could easily slice through this manifested scythe.

”Ha! After all, youʼre a mere Immortal King! To challenge a Level Eight Immortal Emperor like me at the get-go, youʼre way stupi-”

Davis abruptly swung the scythe ahead, causing the pitch-black blade to cut through the talon, slicing its way through the old Ancestorʼs arm before severing his body into two halves, leaving the old Ancestor shocked. Even with his newfound vitality that was temporary through burning all his blood essence, he appeared way uglier with his stupefied expression.

”How-”

The next words just left his mouth when the scythe swung like a tornado and cleaved him into many pieces.

However, Davis quickly dispersed the death energy with his other hand after dealing a death blow to the soul with the scythe, allowing the flesh to still exist so that he could cook for Nadia later on.

Turning to look beside, he saw the Grand Elder, who had gone stiff.

He ignored the Grand Elder and panned his gaze across the fiery scarlet wall that surrounded as much as a thousand-kilometer radius of space.

Considering it was a small space to battle for Immortal Emperors, Davis should be alarmed, but the ones who were alarmed were none other than the Grand Elders, who sealed this place with their powers. Other than the Ancestors, they could not escape from the fiery walls they summoned anymore, but even an Ancestor was thoroughly sliced and diced by the Emperor of Death at this moment, leaving them horrified.

”You… you unleashed your so-called trump card!?”

Another Ancestor roared.

This person didnʼt seem to burn his blood essence to increase his bodily might as he guessed that the Ancestor who was dead could finish off the Emperor of Death with that overpowered technique that reached Level Nine Immortal Emperor Stage in prowess, but to think the Emperor of Deathʼs trump card could even allow his prowess to rise to such a level, a prowess that easily allowed him to be able to overcome them.

However, they knew this should not last longer, so time should be of the essence for him.

”I assume that retarded First Ancestors of yours took away the other Legacy Artifacts?”

Surprisingly, they were asked a question by the Emperor of Death in a lazy manner, making them confused, but one of them still answered to stall for time.

”Even if the Fire Phoenix Clan were to perish, it would still survive elsewhere as long as our First Ancestor looks after it…”

”Indeed, he is the sole person who made the Fire Phoenix Clan this powerful-”

”Such bullshit- Iʼm a plunderer myself, but I would never deign to forcefully kill and absorb the blood essence of my own kin to strengthen myself. The truth is: he abandoned you all to ascend after the Candidacy so he could continue his legacy in the true immortal world.”

Davis sneered and waved his hand, stretching out his palm as a formless energy entwined with death.

The Grand Elder, who was hovering the closest to him, seemed to have his heart grasped by something unknown as he held his chest before the light in his eyes faded out.

”I have two expensive magical beast wives to take care of, you see… so, Iʼd like to preserve all your corpses. Grand Elder Seil Zenflame, donʼt you dare move so I can preserve your fresh meat as much as possible…”

Davis slightly gestured with his scythe while he pulled the Grand Elderʼs corpse towards him. As soon as it neared him, the corpse disappeared into his spatial ring, shaking the hearts of Grand Elders and Ancestors alike while Grand Elder Seil Zenflame painfully realized that he shouldnʼt have let his bastard live back and then and finished him along with Yeyin!

The move he used was the same thing he used to eliminate Lars Zenflameʼs consciousness, using Death Laws and Karma Laws together to connect the heart to the soul and shatter them simultaneously.

This move required extreme focus and precision, but with Fallen Heavenʼs energy aiding him, it was as easy as flicking his finger.
