Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2547 Marrying Two Alstreims

Davisʼs heart clenched upon seeing his two brides in regal crimson gowns step up to the altar. The very sight of it was truly breathtaking that he didnʼt expect himself to be this impressed with their arrival.

Was it the spotlight that enriched their outline and displayed their luster from elegant to magnificent nature? He didnʼt know, but his heart couldnʼt help but race as the shamelessness of this situation finally got to his face, causing him to blush slightly as he smiled at them.

Sophie and Niera also smiled back, their fair cheeks glistening with a shade of a healthy dose of embarrassment, full of shyness, as they blushed behind their crimson veils. It wouldnʼt be a lie to say that they were incredibly nervous and were slightly worried that they would garner criticism from the people who had gathered here, but once they were on top of the altar, their eyes only had Davis unwittingly.

Many people saw this scene and instantly recognized that these two werenʼt Isabella Ruth and Shirley Ashton because they were down near the stairs, apparently looking excited to giveaway their husband to another person.

They couldnʼt help but think if there was any fairness left in this world, wondering what they did to watch this unforgiving scene that irked their hearts so much that theyʼd liked to tear apart the groom with their bare hands.

But on the other hand, there were a few people who were naturally relieved.

Without a sliver of a doubt, those people belonged to none other than the Fire Phoenix Clan and the Earth Dragon Clan. But still, looking at their inheritors gazing at him from below as though looking up to him, they couldnʼt help but feel insulted as though the women of their family had gone rogue and done an irresponsible thing.

Tegon Zenflame and his little brother Egon Zenflame clearly didnʼt look relieved completely but remained frowning despite the fact that Davis hadnʼt done anything that would warrant them being offended.

There was still a heavy air around them, seemingly not amused by the wedding itself.

But still, many people wondered who these two women were, wondering which disciples of their Aurora Cloud Gate they were. They certainly didnʼt feel like those two were true disciples nor core disciples but imagined that they were outer or inner disciples possessing a high level of beauty.

This way, one party wanted wealth and power, and the other party wanted them for their looks. If this was the case, they could understand. But love? They didnʼt think it was possible when the groom already had so many women with him.

While they were full of wonder and suspicion, wondering if this move had some other intent it was no longer the case as they initially thought, they became confused, continuing to watch what was going to happen.

At this moment, Davis then moved to the two brides. Appearing in front of them, he eyed them before they nodded, causing him to reach out his hands and lift their veils off their faces, revealing two gorgeous and beautiful faces that would over encompass the moon.

Their limpid purple eyes held a deep attraction for him while their usual free-flowing blonde hair was braided into a bun and pinned with phoenix jade pin, practically making them more alluring than they could ever be. Only a part of the hair was braided, and the rest still fell to their waist, making them appear fantastical.

His gaze fell on their luscious crimson lips that curved into a light smile, causing his heart to race faster as he knew today that he wouldnʼt be able to hold himself back from ravaging those lips tonight.

”Husband... Iʼve waited for this day far too long...”

Nieraʼs voice was mellow and full of longing, causing Davis to smile, ”I know, but also, you wouldnʼt know how long I waited for this day to come. It feels like an eternity.”

”Hehe~ Donʼt worry. Weʼll take ʼcareʼ of you today night.”

Sophie sent him and Niera a soul transmission, causing Niera to blush heavily while Davis almost hissed in temptation. Nonetheless, he quickly grasped their soft and frail hands, pulling them along to the throne and making them sit.

The three thrones were small and not wide like it would usually be. There was a reason for it as they sat together and linked arms, waiting for a few people to appear while the crowd had their entire attention on them.

It quickly spread that these two women were Sophie Alstreim and Niera Alstreim and that they were two distant relatives from his Alstreim Family. They didnʼt find anything strange with their union, but they were all confused.

Didnʼt he already marry them when he was on the lower plane?

Quickly, a few people who couldnʼt hold their curiosity asked a member of the Reaper Soul Legion what was going on when the other party explained. This information quickly spread to the crowd, causing them to be flabbergasted once again.

”Wait... so he hadnʼt married some of them yet and theyʼre still willing to stay together?”

”That would be the case.”

”Ai... count that this senior brother has died from jealousy. On another note, would you be willing to marry me, junior sister?”

”Go die.”

.

”Aiyah!”

A white-robed woman and a black-robed man exchanged words before the woman kicked him in the butt, sending him rolling on the floor. However, the man merely stood up and rubbed his butt, seemingly not having taken offense as he returned back to the woman.

No batted an eye to their exchange as though it was ordinary or perhaps they didnʼt dare insult the mane because he was a true disciple. The woman was the same, appearing to be a true disciple. Their eyes were rather indifferent as they watched the proceedings.

At this moment, Evelynn, Natalya, and Isabella came up to the altar and handed them three cups.

While linking arms, they grabbed the cups with two hands and took them to their mouths before gulping them in one fell swoop.

He was doing this according to the Alstreim Familyʼs customs. Although he didnʼt know much and had only heard it from Sophie and Nieraʼs mouths, he did his best to give them a vow of commitment in a way they liked and understood.

But drinking from the cup, he couldnʼt help but find it extremely tasty. However, he couldnʼt help but turn to glance at Sophie and Niera, wondering if they found it acceptable or were... disgusted with it.

After all, although this drink was sweet spirit water, it also contained the essence of his six wives.

And he didnʼt force this, but this was according to the Alstreim Familyʼs customs for polygamy. If a woman doesnʼt accept a manʼs first or other wives, then thereʼs no need for her to become a part of that manʼs family. For the new bride to prove that she accepts the manʼs wife, she must first drink their essence.

To Davis, it was completely weird, but to Sophie and Niera, it was the norm when marrying a married man. They had seen it happen many times in their lives.

Davis watched their expressions remain calm as they took the drink in one fell swoop, causing him to somewhat smile lewdly at Evelynn before he gave them back his cup, and so did Sophie and Niera, looking awkward and entranced as they didnʼt find it bad at all and even deemed it was delicious.

They felt it was no wonder Davis was pouncing on their lips every time he got the chance.

Since there were no elders to do other customs like exchanging dowry and wishes, and with them having finally accepted and drank from the three cups, proving that they would share life together, they stood up together and started to exchange vows.

”I, Sophie Alstreim...”

”I, Niera Alstreim...”

”... will become his seventh wife~”

”... will become his eighth wife~”

They each spoke out their names before enunciating their status.

”We promise to love, respect, be faithful and fruitful, stick together in sickness or health, unreservedly care for each other poverty or wealth and be good and affectionate wives to our husband~~~”

Their melodious voices echoed throughout the area with utter joy as they smiled like fools.

Davis couldnʼt help but use Heart Intent to feel their joy, making him feel their pure affection for him. Moreover, he inwardly smiled as it seemed like they discussed how to vow before coming here, doing it together with the utmost excitement and joy as they held hands together with him.

Quickly, it was his turn next.

”I, Davis Loret, Emperor of Death, accept Sophie Alstreim and Niera Alstreim as my seventh and eighth wives. I promise to treat them with respect and love, take care of them with all my heart and die for them no matter the difficulty of the danger they face.”

As Davis ended his vow and they turned east towards a pillar that shot towards the skies before they kowtowed, officially becoming husband and wives under the witness of heaven and earth, not to mention the people who had gathered.

However, the people witnessing this scene were shocked beyond compare.

Take care of them with all his heart and die for them no matter the difficulty of the danger they face?

Does he realize he was essentially making an oath under the witness of the heavens? As an immortal, if he failed to abide by it, then its wrath would be unleashed upon him, especially even harder since he was already a Divergent!
