Divine Emperor of Death

Davis shrugged, causing Kladeʼs eyes to almost bulge in shock.

Although he demanded Davis heal him, he knew that Davis was far off from becoming an Immortal King. He was just playing when he said it, so when Davis said that he could do it now, he was shocked initially, but then he suddenly realized the implication.

However, taking a step back, he had to wonder if the other party was still teasing him. Their relationship was good, and it was not constricting but a laidback one.

At this moment, Davisʼs hand that shrugged suddenly swung in a sharp arc. Ancestor Kladeʼs expression churned as he noticed the move. However, an incredible pressure bound him from moving, causing him to turn pale and shocked as his pupils constricted at Davis.

ʼThis power…ʼ

The next second, he felt his consciousness fade into the darkness, full of disbelief.

Davis lifted Ancestor Klade by his waist, throwing him on his shoulder as he turned to look at the shocked beautiful lady with his signature smirk.

”Ancestor Cornelia, If you donʼt mind, whereʼs his room?”

Ancestor Cornelia had her mouth agape behind her crimson veil. She was deeply shocked by the power Davis possessed, unable to believe her eyes. After all, it was just less than two months since he arrived on the First Haven World, and yet, how could be become so powerful enough to neutralize her husband, who was a Level Nine Immortal Beast who could battle two levels above his prowess?

However, she couldnʼt help but smilingly shake her head as she pointed in a direction.

”Youʼre too playful. I understand you did this to hide your capabilities but donʼt blame me if he comes after you for revenge.”

”Haha. At that time, Iʼll break his bones and take him to his room again to do shady things.”

Davis chuckled, causing Ancestor Cornelia to raise her hand.

”You- Shameless child. Ahh, this is infuriating. With you having my hands enclosed pleadingly, I canʼt even chide you now.”

Seeing Ancestor Cornelia become embarrassed and slightly angered, Davis gave a thumbs up and left towards the direction Ancestor Cornelia pinpointed him.

He didnʼt tease more because he knew that it wasnʼt that Ancestor Cornelia couldnʼt take a joke, but the person he was making fun of was someone she respected too much. He couldnʼt help but respect such a woman.

Nonetheless, after entering the Ancestor Kladeʼs room, he found that this was where only he lived. Looking at the things around, he saw that Ancestor Corneliaʼs things werenʼt present. Obviously, Ancestor Klade felt that he was too hideous to be with Ancestor Cornelia all the time.

Even he couldnʼt help but feel the shivers when looking at Ancestor Klade. However, not only did he look ugly, but he was also going to die soon as the Vacuous Beastʼs blood poison did a number on him.

ʼBut that all comes to an end here...ʼ

Davis placed Ancestor Klade on the bed gently using his soul force, careful not to wake him up.

Outside, Ancestor Cornelia was waiting with her hands clenched before her big bosoms. Her crimson eyes churned with worry, and her senses constantly fluctuated, appearing to want to find some clues about her husbandʼs health. She was praying that nothing should happen to her dear husband.

However, seeing Davis walking out in two minutes, she blinked before extending a few words out.

”Did you forget something?”

Davis left without replying, seemingly in a hurry, which caused Ancestor Cornelia to be alarmed. She looked at his disappearing silhouette and then towards the room, wondering what exactly had occurred as her eyes trembled in panic.

Her lips quivered, waiting for Davis to come back but even after a minute, he didnʼt, causing her to quickly run towards the room.

”…!”

However, the moment she saw her husbandʼs sleeping figure, she was shocked.

========

Davis had already met up with Nadiaʼs main body and exited the island during this time.

Knowing the information Shirley and the others collected, he first went to collect his wages. As he was a true disciple, the amount that would be debited to his name each month was ten thousand Mid-Level Immortal Crystals.

Since a new month had started, he collected about twenty thousand Mid-Level Immortal Crystals.

Fortunately, he didnʼt encounter any trouble but wanting to see who would his standing in the sect, he didnʼt disguise himself at all.

Rather than wearing Feng Chuʼs face, he walked with his well-known original face, blonde hair, and sapphire eyes that were plastered almost everywhere back in the prefectures he roamed about. His features certainly did grab attention, gossip, and rumors, but with the way he walked around the islands, radiating a bit of deathly aura, none dared to near him.

To the disciples, he was like the walking plague, causing them all to quickly move out of his way.

ʼThis is good… At least, itʼs better than other disciples coming to challenge me just for the sake of showing off...ʼ

Davis thought, but he didnʼt exit the island after procuring his wages but went to the treasury, having a look himself.

He knew that he must prepare an appropriate cultivation path not only for himself but also for his sweet beauties. They were walking on a path manipulated by his passive fate, so he more or less felt responsible for their adversities and challenges, but even if it was not there, it was in his character to take care of them.

He was delighted either way to see them grow stronger with each passing day.

Spending an entire day in the treasury, he made a note of all the treasures he had access to before hitting the library.

The library was situated on another island, huge and vast, like an ocean cloud of knowledge. The magnificent architecture awed him into feeling deep respect, and the atmosphere when he stepped inside made him feel intimidated.

”…”

Davis could feel it. The pressure of the information made him think that every word written here was probably an inscription and a rune could be a whole sentence or book.

He knew that even if he spent a year here, it was impossible for him to digest all this information. Therefore, he just absorbed the basic history of the First Haven World and the like before looking for treasures regarding heavenly lightning, heavenly flames, death energy, and life energy.

His luck was good. He found a few records containing information related to these energies. However, looking at the price tag, he simply smiled and left the section. After looking around for half a day and completely spending his twenty thousand Mid-Level Immortal Crystals reading all the knowledge that he could get his hands on, he left the island like a broke cultivator.

He felt like visiting a few other places but intended to head to the mission distribution island first.

Davis flew through the skies with his death aura reverberating around him.

He landed on the mission distribution island, but at this moment, a white-robed man blocked his path, his eyes bloodshot and his expression raging with hatred. He took out a heavy broadsword from his back and slashed it vertically toward him, his undulations swelling past his Level Nine Immortal Stage cultivation base!

”What the-”

”Davis Alstreim, you vile Divergent! Die!”
