Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2546 Procession

Davis walked out of the groomʼs chamber and walked through the hallway, looking at a white-robed woman who was waiting for him.

She was none other than Ellia. She had gone outside since Ruven Longstrand appeared to speak with Davis. She did that in order to give them privacy as she felt Ruven Longstrand wouldnʼt be comfortable talking about some things to Davis with her around.

He saw her limpid eyes light up when she saw him.

”Wah~ You look wonderful in red robes, my prince.”

Davis appeared in front of her and raised his hand, placing his palm on her cheek through her pretty veil, feeling her warmth. In turn, Ellia also used her hand to press his palm to her face better, seeking more warmth from him.

Davis thought of intimately kissing the beauty in front of him but knew that it wouldnʼt be appropriate on this day. Once he thought of her situation, even though she followed him everywhere like a cat, he couldnʼt help but ask.

”Ellia, itʼll be your turn after everyone else. Are you not mad?”

Ellia simply shook her head, still feeling his warmth.

”I already lost you once due to a misunderstanding. Iʼm not going to lose you again, no matter what, so Iʼm satisfied just being by your side.”

”Ellia...”

Elliaʼs gentle voice soothed Davis, causing him to smile lightly and pat her cheek.

”Alright. I know how to take care of you, so you just follow me as you always have.”

”Hehe~ Yes.”

Ellia giggled as she followed him behind. She also looked prideful as she was the one who helped him dress up, seemingly re-experiencing the time she spent with him back in her childhood. Those were ordinary yet wonderful days filled with fun as she watched his antics, sneaking around, playing fun, and bullying his parents for their adult atrocities.

She always believed that if there was someone she could wholeheartedly believe and follow, he would always be one, and that still didnʼt change now. In fact, the more time she spent with him, the more she found herself being attracted to him that she even felt like going past kissing many times already.

However, knowing that her new body was also adjusting to her soul, she wasnʼt overly eager either, waiting for that right moment which made it all the more exciting for her as she was experiencing the feeling of being in love.

After Davis and Ellia walked out, they were greeted with a marvelous sight and a bustling crowd that instantly went silent upon noticing his appearance. It was like a market suddenly hushing down and looking at one person with absolute silence, making Davis blink as he felt creeped out.

Nonetheless, he stepped on the pathway and walked above the staircase towards the altar that was built by Bylaiʼs construct skills. The surroundings instantly lit up and put him in a spotlight, making him inwardly blank out before assuming this must be Mingzhiʼs work.

ʼThat lass...ʼ

He couldnʼt help but silently chuckle before finally arriving at the altar. He saw three thrones adjacent to each other, one being adorned with dragon ornaments and the other two adorned with phoenix ornaments. At a glance, it looked stunning enough to swell the urge of anyone to want to sit in these thrones, making him truly impressed with Bylaiʼs work.

He knew that she would definitely be a grand artisan and a construct master in the future revered by many.

Nonetheless, he turned to look towards the crowd and saw many people still staring at him with scrutiny.

”A Divergent isnʼt a new, undiscovered lifeform, alright? Iʼm just a human whoʼs out here trying to cultivate and grow stronger like everyone, except Iʼm also trying to survive from people who needlessly vilify me.”

Davis raised his brows as he gestured with his hands, causing countless people to take their gazes off of him in embarrassment. They did indeed look at him like he was another creature altogether. After all, it was the first time they were face to face with a Divergent they almost didnʼt believe it themselves.

However, there were still some who stared at Davis with a scrutinizing gaze, some amused, some frowning over his laid-back attitude, wondering if he was a scam artist or something.

After all, werenʼt Divergents depicted to be evil and bring countless calamities?

”Divergent or not. We all came here because weʼre interested to know your true strength. After all, you even managed to defeat that monster Niel Bladeheart. I see Fairy Ellia with you, but Iʼm not interested in her strength. Where is Fairy Myria?”

Suddenly, a man spoke out loud.

.

Wearing a crimson robe, he appeared bulky and muscular, not to mention taller, as he was about three meters tall, appearing like a mountain if someone stood in front of him.

A soul transmission from Ellia fell on Davisʼs ears as he recognized the other party as Waine Might from the stone race. He was a bit shocked to see Waine Might look like a human, but he knew that his insides were full of granules that were actually living cells.

He learned about the stone race from reading in the library the other day, and he could also see a few other never-before-seen races among the guests. The Aurora Cloud Gate was truly an ancient power, giving protection to all kinds of races and nomads, like rogue cultivators and Divergents alike, as long as they were innocent and disciplined.

Nonetheless, he didnʼt look at them like they were looking at him as though he was looking at a new, undiscovered creature and shook his head.

”Unfortunately, Fairy Myria is not attending my wedding.”

Davis shrugged, causing many people to instantly gossip about their relationship. They discussed that Fairy Myria didnʼt show face to Davis even though they shared the same island together, making them wonder if they were in a relationship that was one of rivalry.

Unlike Fairy Ellia, who seemed to have stated that she belonged to Davis, it seemed Fairy Myria didnʼt have a significant other.

Many couldnʼt help but think of trying their chances.

On the other hand, Davis wasnʼt offended at Myria for not appearing at his wedding. Instead, he was grateful as she was the one who provided the most contribution points to make this event as grand as possible.

Without her, procuring so many necessities like sealing the island and defenses wouldnʼt be possible.

Of course, he promised to hand over double the contribution points she gave him soon enough, so there was that, but to even consider spending on this wedding where he was marrying two women, he couldnʼt help but feel like Myria had given her approval even though she hadnʼt said a word about it.

All in all, he was in an excellent mood today.

He chuckled, ”That said, if you want to see my strength, youʼll have to choose some other occasion, Waine Might. After all, this is not the event to talk about strength.”

”Grrr~”

Waine Might grumbled as the surroundings trembled, causing the other people to wobble as they appeared like they were in some earthquake situation. He said no more, simply appearing saddened as his shoulders drooped.

However, someone beside him patted his back and grinned at Davis.

”Come on. Donʼt be a spoilsport. Your wedding does have events where people challenge each other and gain rewards upon gaining victory, so why donʼt you join in and show your strength? As your senior brother, I promise you wonʼt regret it, as Iʼll give you all the contribution points I possess right now.”

He displayed his status badge, whereupon it shone, projecting a number.

[253,790]

Davis was shocked to see a huge amount of contribution points and was instantly tempted. Not only could he quickly repay Myria back using this opportunity, but he could also make more improvements to his island or, most importantly, his cultivation.

Only, the time to bring the brides to the altar was almost up, and he couldnʼt change his tune after saying that it was inappropriate, could he?

Just as he was about to say something, the crowd jolted as they turned to look elsewhere, causing him to also turn and look at an entourage of beauties, each of them appearing noble and classy as they walked towards the stairs with a magnificent bearing.

However, the shinier than them all were two women clad in attractive and desirable crimson phoenix robes, giving off a mysterious vibe as they also had their faces covered in crimson veils. They were under the spotlight, glittering and walking with sparks of flames surrounding them.

But the most important thing was their auras that were well hidden, but as fellow geniuses, they knew very well what kind of prowess these women represented.

The eyes of the men and women were completely wide as they saw this exquisite procession heading toward the altar and delivering the two brides to the altar, indicating their approval to the brides as his wives.

However, they couldnʼt understand.

All this... for just a single man? Not to mention, a Divergent who probably didnʼt have much time to live with how he was being vilified?

They... absolutely... couldnʼt... understand!
