Divine Emperor of Death

2507 Nutritious Resource

”Now take them and treat Mira well later. She will enjoy being pampered if Iʼm right about her.”

”You are right.”

Isabella tearfully smiled at Davis, looking moved as she wiped her tears away. As Miraʼs guardian or human companion, she knew about her the most. Mira was practically a spoiled lass. Although she didnʼt have the idea she could be forgiven for what she did, she was determined to take care of Mira more than ever.

Evelynn also nodded, etching the sacrifice Mira made in her heart.

The two of them reached out their hands and took the vial of blood essence. Inside those two vials were many condensed drops of blood essences. It held about hundred forty percent of blood essence combined.

After all, Mira went through two blood extractions.

After the first extraction, she really did feel like she was going to die as the pain shook her core, but she held on with pure determination. The Blood Essence Orb and his life energy helped restore her blood essence to ninety-seven percent before she again underwent blood essence extraction once again, experiencing immense pain, hallucinations, and other depressing emotions that scared her.

Even then, she held on. Only after the blood extraction was complete did she relax, but while receiving the treatment, her mind perceived the action differently, and the lack of blood essence corrupted her mind, causing her to go berserk.

Both Isabella and Evelynn deemed that this amount of blood essence was more than enough for them to incorporate Emperor-Tier Earth Dragonʼs blood essence into their bodies.

However, only Evelynn thought that it would fall short of matching the Emperor-Tier Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnidʼs blood essence in her body, but she still figured that it was enough to attain an equilibrium that she required to undergo immortal tribulation.

Once her Emperor-Tier Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnidʼs blood essence fused with the Emperor-Tier Earth Dragonʼs blood essence with the help of her spider-dragon fey body, which had adapted that kind of blood ratio, she imagined that her power would grow extraordinary. After all, unlike humans, she would be capable of creating a Heaven Immortal Vessel as a fey with just her bloodline.

It was possible thanks to her noble magical beast bloodline.

On the other hand, Davis turned to look at Tyriele as he heard her whimpering through their soul connection.

”…”

He was stumped as to how to console her as he didnʼt have a way to repair her body. He could only ask Sophie but knew that she wasnʼt up to mark yet to be capable of reforging a Late Immortal Grade Treasure like the Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron.

”Iʼm sorry, Tyriele. Without you, this wouldnʼt have been possible.”

”Master, is this the end for me…?”

”Of course not. I just need you to wait for some time, and I promise Sophie will patch you up in an instant. Or else I could even hire some forging immortal expert from the Aurora Cloud Gate and have you reforged.”

”I… Iʼll wait.”

Davis blinked. Was Tyriele afraid that he would sell her off? He was about to convince her but, on second thought, wondered if she didnʼt want it, then he didnʼt need to force her.

”Alright.”

He assured Tyriele of her recovery and returned his focus to healing Mira.

Time passed.

Once he restored seventy percent of her blood essence, Davis knew that Mira was completely out of the danger zone. However, he was shocked to find out that Miraʼs bloodline tier, which shouldʼve dropped to King Tier as it was unstable all this while surprisingly managed to hold onto Emperor Tier.

ʼIs this due to the Blood Essence Orb?”

He couldnʼt help but call Everlight to investigate.

Everlight knew that her life energy wasnʼt up to par as it hadnʼt reached Davisʼs level, nor could it restore blood essence on the level of Davisʼs life energy as Miraʼs Emperor Tier blood negated her own life energyʼs potency.

In other words, she learned that her life energy wasnʼt much effective during the extraction process.

However, things wouldʼve been different if she had been a level higher than Mira or… had all of her nine tails intact! In that case, even the fact that theyʼre both Emperor Tier which caused the negation of her life energyʼs potency, wouldʼve been drastically reduced, making it so that it was possible for her to restore Miraʼs blood essence.

Although the potency wouldnʼt be as much as Davisʼs life energy, it was still significant.

Thinking that Davis was calling her to take over the healing process, she readily ran to him, all healed.

However, arriving before him, she was also shocked to notice that Miraʼs bloodline hadnʼt regressed to King-Tier.

She also wondered if this was due to the Blood Essence Orb. The others also joined the investigation. But soon enough, Evelynn just pointed to Davis, right at his shoulder.

Evelynnʼs pointing finger made Davisʼs eyes go wide in shock.

”Wait a minute… am I actually a resource for immortal beasts to turn Emperor-Tier…?”

Everlight and the others were also shocked by this discovery. The former couldnʼt help but even inhale Davisʼs blood fragrance and find it really… really appetizing that her mouth started to drool. She hurriedly came out of her reverie, apologizing to Davis, but Everlightʼs reaction just showed what they needed to know.

Evelynn puffed out a breath and looked annoyed, ”Considering the laws your body is adapting to, I think itʼs safe to presume that you are turning into a natural resource for immortal beasts to turn Emperor-Tier.”

Davis blinked before he couldnʼt help but smile brightly.

”Great, now I can use my own body to make Emperor-Tier Beasts.”

”Courting death!” Evelynn raged, ”Youʼre not literally selling off your own body.”

Davis chuckled, ”I was just kidding. Did you think I would really do it?”

”Considering that you let Mira eat you, I am forced to rethink my opinion on how you treat your body!”

Equipped with life energy and the ability to regenerate his body parts easily, Evelynn knew he was certainly capable of cutting down his arms and legs into viable resources as food products for magical beasts and selling them off the black market or underground auctions.

”Remember, your body belongs to us, your women. As proof, you also have our names etched on it, so be mindful. Protecting your body is also protecting us.”

In the end, Evelynnʼs voice became imploring as she looked sorrowful. Davis was moved, knowing that she was using his language to make him understand, but he was also embarrassed.

ʼWell… about that… those names disappeared after I tempered my body with chaos, but... donʼt worry… Iʼll secretly etch them back before I marry Sophie and Niera...ʼ

He didnʼt dare say that they disappeared, afraid that it would invoke an emotional reaction from them than a logical one.

What he did was simply nod his head and reassure Evelynn that he wouldnʼt be willful with his body.

”Hmph! Convincing husband wonʼt work, big sister. Iʼll just threaten him with my death if he were to harm his body again.”

Natalya also approached. With a flick of her hands, yin energy surged out of her palms and fell on Davisʼs botched shoulder, easing the pain. But despite her words, Natalyaʼs eyes were misty as she looked at him as though she was the one who was wronged.

”Donʼt do that again.”

Davis stared at her caring gaze as he smiled, ”Thanks.”

”I want yes as an answer. Not thanks- husband!”

Natalya hurriedly reached out her hands to capture Davisʼs falling body.

Davis wobbled as his footing faltered, but he quickly came to a balance upon being captured by Natalya, causing him to shake his head. His cheeks became paler, appearing unhealthier while his eyes tried to stay up as they twitched.

”Itʼs nothing. My soul force is at its limit. Everlight, take over for the time being.”

Davis informed Everlight, causing her to instantly take over, not wanting to disappoint Davis like before. On the other hand, Evelynn and Isabella were also worried, knowing that the only matter left for Davis to happen was for him to faint.

They instantly advised him to take a rest, but he shook his head.

”Mira is no longer in danger, and Iʼve given the task to heal further to Everlight. I can still watch. Natalya, take me to Eldia. Letʼs see how she is doing-”

”No, Iʼll take you to rest.”

Natalya tightly held him while Iesha manifested beside him.

”Please rest~”

”…”

Davis didnʼt know what to say when everyone implored him to take a rest. He was quite reluctant to take a rest now as he didnʼt want anything strange happening to Mira and Eldia.

”Iʼll go see if Eldia is fine, so you take a rest.”

Evelynn volunteered, causing Davis to nod his head and gesture to Natalya and Iesha to take him.

The both of them held him gently and took him to a shade underneath a large tree with lush green leaves.

From there, they watched the happenings around as Mira was being treated by Everlight while Evelynn went to check up on the Eldiaʼs situation. However, they forced Davis to close his eyes and rest as they laid him out in the open and used their thighs and hands to massage him.

Iesha had Davisʼs head on her soft lap while Natalya gave him a good head massage, making Davis feel like he was floating in the nine heavens amidst the exhaustion that he went to sleep. Looking at Davis finally taking a rest, Iesha stopped Natalya from doing massages as she kept him all to herself with a gentle smile on her face.

Natalya silently giggled at her before she laid down beside Davis and made herself comfortable, inching closely enough to feel his body heat but not close enough to disturb him. She didnʼt care how long but hoped that he would take enough time to rest while she got to keep him by his side, watching his defenseless expression with adoration and cherishment.
