I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 914, You Don’t Understand the Thoughts of Managers

“What were the results? How many Tribes are willing to pledge allegiance to us?” Su Bai asked.

He only cared about how many people would be interested in the Flame Dragon Tribe. As for the methods, he was not particularly concerned. Because the methods were always those same few, it was not difficult to guess which one was used.

“Up to now, three Small Tribes are willing to pledge allegiance to us. They’ve all reached desperate straits.” Ye Jiu reported.

Ye Jiu still vividly remembered the reactions of those Tribes. All of them looked utterly miserable.

After just some persuasion, all three Tribes agreed.

“How many people in total?” Su Bai asked. Most importantly, he needed to be concerned about the numbers.

“The three Tribes combined have less than four thousand people, though the number of Warriors isn’t many.”

Ye Jiu tried hard to recall the Tribes they had accepted, continuing. “There are quite a few Warrior Trainees, but very few Totem Warriors.”

“Numbers.” Su Bai said flatly.

“The number of Totem Warriors is one hundred and ten. The number of Warrior Trainees is over three hundred.” Ye Jiu reported.

“This ratio does indeed show they have very few Totem Warriors, but it’s about right.” Su Bai nodded with satisfaction. Although it was not ideal, with the Flame Dragon Tribe’s weapons, their combat strength would soar, and a force of that size was enough.

“Shaman, should we only accept the Warriors? I’m worried there are too many people and our food won’t be enough.” Ye Jiu said with concern.

“It’s fine. We have enough food. Moreover, we’re also going to plant crops during the rainy season, so there’s no need to worry about food.”

Su Bai explained. He knew she did not know about the Tribe’s affairs, which was why she had thought not to accept those people.

“Planting during the rainy season as well? This…” Ye Jiu was stunned, truly completely ignorant about these matters.

“Yes, just bring all the people back. And you must also arrange accommodation for them.”

Su Bai thought for a moment, then continued, “The location will be in the Tribe’s outer region. Those Warriors must all be gathered together. First test how strong are they.”

“Understood. They’re already on their way. My men are currently escorting them.” Ye Jiu reported.

“How many more days until they reach our Tribe? The rainy season is already known to be only about ten days away.” Su Bai slowly picked up his teacup, continuing to ask, “How many Warriors were arranged to go out this time? Is it enough to guarantee those people’s safety?”

He needed to ensure the safety of this labour force. After all, they were crucial to the Tribe’s future development. No matter how many ideas he had, he also needed to rely on this labour force to realise them, so their safety had to be guaranteed.

“This time, ten Totem Warriors and fifty Warrior Trainees were arranged to go out. There definitely won’t be any problems.”

Ye Jiu had arranged this in advance with Sha Hong, having the Special Forces Department send people to support this endeavour.

“They’ll reach our Tribe in four or five days. Our Tribe has enough time to arrange accommodation for them.”

Otherwise, relying on the Assassination Group alone would not work. Moreover, the Assassination Group still had other tasks to execute.

“This number is about right. Combined with their own Warriors, plus the weapons we’ve sent out, it’s enough to guarantee safety.” Su Bai nodded.

“Yes.” Ye Jiu said coldly.

“Go and rest first. Then the Assassination Group’s other tasks must be executed properly.” Su Bai instructed.

The Assassination Group had another task regarding the Green Vine Tribe and the Earth Tiger Tribe.

Besides following those representatives back to their Tribes, they also needed to gather intelligence about their people’s thoughts.

Because some Tribes would still choose to completely ignore the matter. In such cases, the information had to be transmitted back to the Flame Dragon Tribe in advance.

“We understand.” Ye Jiu turned and departed gracefully. Even when walking, she made no sound whatsoever.

No matter when or where, she always walked very quietly, making virtually no sound at all.

Su Bai had mentioned many times that she could relax when in the Yong’an Building, but she had always been stubborn.

From beginning to end, her footsteps were silent. If not for people reporting and knocking on doors, probably only Su Bai could sense her presence.

Yan Hua, Sha Lan and the others were even less able to sense her. Of course, Yan Jiao and Sha Hong could also sense when someone was approaching.

“Still as cold as ever.” Su Bai smiled faintly.

“Does the Shaman think those Tribes will agree to our demands?” Yan Hua asked curiously.

Yan Hua was already somewhat eager to try. She wanted to go on missions to those Tribes.

They had not fought for a long time now. She truly wanted to go and subjugate those Tribes.

“Some within will agree, some won’t. But neither outcome will be disadvantageous for us.” Su Bai leisurely sipped his tea, continuing, “When the time comes, I’ll let you stretch your muscles. No need to be too anxious.”

He naturally understood Yan Hua’s thoughts.

“Thank you, Shaman.” Yan Hua began to look forward to it.

“Shaman, I’m just worried about Ah Liv. If Ah Liv’s Tribe is unwilling, what will she do?” Sha Lan frowned and said with concern, “If war starts, Ah Liv will be the most unfortunate one here.”

“This can’t be helped. She was just born in the wrong Tribe. But her Tribe people’s lives won’t be endangered. Only that Tribe will become ours.”

Su Bai was somewhat unconcerned. After all, the era was just this cruel. It was the law of the jungle, where strength reigned supreme. Invading another Tribe and taking it over was actually nothing strange.

“True. If Ah Liv’s Tribe doesn’t comply, there’s no helping it. This is just laying groundwork for our Tribe’s expansion.” Sha Lan said flatly.

She also felt this was normal. After thinking for a good while, she slowly came to terms with it. As long as Ah Liv’s life remained safe, that was enough.

“But, I think the Earth Tiger Tribe might compromise. After all, Yini is the Chieftain’s Daughter. They shouldn’t let her lose face, right?” Yan Hua speculated.

“That’s not certain. You don’t understand the thoughts of those at the top. Just wait and see when the time comes.” Su Bai’s lips curled slightly upward.

He was already prepared to watch the show unfold. Having been Transmigrated here for so long, he could grasp their true intentions.

“It seems… it seems to be so. Anyway, those people’s thoughts are all strange and peculiar. I can’t fathom them.” Yan Hua shrugged her shoulders.

“It’s fine, you should also attend to your tasks. Have a look at the intelligence agents’ reactions later.” Su Bai smiled faintly.

“Yeah, I’m going to train.” Yan Hua agreed with a smile.

“Go ahead. Also, select some more soldiers and check their aptitude first.” Su Bai instructed.

“Right, I’ll still select according to the previous standards.” Yan Hua agreed with a smile.
