Transmigrated To Ancient Time: Thrive With An Auction System!

Chapter 74: System’s Recycle Function

When she was almost done cooking, Yao Zhi suddenly thought of the dramas she watched in her previous life. She didn’t know whether her husband liked alcohol, but it never hurt to prepare some for a banquet.

With that thought, she opened the System Shop and checked the beverage section. After browsing for a while, she found distilled liquor.

She originally thought she would see famous brands, but instead, the liquor was categorized by type. After checking the alcohol content, she chose a white liquor with 60% alcohol.

The liquor was sold per liter, and 1 liter cost 100 points. Since she had plenty of points, she bought 3 liters at once, spending 300 points.

After taking the liquor out of the glass bottle, the moment she opened the cap, the strong alcohol scent hit her nose. Feeling slightly dizzy, Yao Zhi quickly poured the liquor into a waterskin. One waterskin could hold 1 liter, which was just right.

When she was done, she stored the empty glass bottle in her system storage. She was thinking about how to dispose of glass and plastic when she suddenly heard a notification sound.

Ding!

The next moment, a transparent blue screen appeared in front of her.

”Recycle function activated. The Host can resell used packaging to the System or recycle it into new products.”

Yao Zhi’s eyes lit up the moment she saw this. She checked the available products and saw that she didn’t need anything made from the used packaging, so she chose to sell everything.

After clicking the sell button, a ding sounded, and a new notification appeared.

”All used packaging sold. Total earnings: 758 points.”

Seeing that she could earn nearly 800 points just from selling packaging, Yao Zhi’s mood instantly improved. Now she didn’t need to worry about disposing of trash, and she could even earn points from it.

Just as she closed the system interface, she heard movement from the front yard. Thinking it was her husband, she removed the firewood from the stove and extinguished the fire, leaving only embers to keep the food warm.

In the front yard, Fu Chen’an carried in a wooden table, followed by a group of villagers. The men carried benches and tables, while the women carried bamboo baskets filled with gifts.

Seeing them, Yao Zhi hurried over to help. When they saw her proportional figure, a woman exclaimed in surprise, ”Are you really Yao Zhi?”

Yao Zhi nodded and replied, ”Sister-in-law, it’s me.”

Hearing her voice, everyone finally believed that the fattest woman in the village had truly slimmed down. Although she wasn’t as slender as the most beautiful woman in the village, she looked far better than before.

”Sister Yao, you look much better now. If you lose another 10 or 20 jin, you could stand on par with Liu Sanniang,” another woman said.

Everyone nodded in agreement and encouraged her to diet, but Fu Chen’an’s expression darkened.

He was already worried about his wife’s health because she ate too little. If she listened to such comments and really starved herself, he wouldn’t be able to rest easy leaving her alone at home.

With that thought, he walked over, held his wife’s hand, and said, ”My wife is fine just like this. There’s no need for her to lose weight.”

Noticing his displeasure, the women fell silent and exchanged awkward looks.

When Wang Shen noticed this, she quickly walked over and said, ”Whether it’s slim or chubby, as long as we are healthy, that’s the most important thing.”

Since someone helped them resolve the awkwardness, everyone smiled and chimed in agreement.

Fearing that her husband would say something offensive again, Yao Zhi tugged at his sleeves. Feeling the tug, Fu Chen’an lowered his head and met his wife’s gaze.

He knew that this meal was to build a good relationship with the villagers, so his wife wouldn’t be alone when he was not around. So, he nodded and squeezed her soft hands gently.

Besides the Village Chief’s family, Fu Chen’an only invited Xiao Wei’s family and the soldiers under his command. Most of the soldiers were unmarried, and only 7 of them came over with their parents and siblings.

Even though they didn’t invite a lot of people, they still needed to set up 10 tables. With everyone helping set up the tables and benches in the backyard, it only took fifteen minutes to finish.

When the women went to the kitchen, they were surprised to see the amount of food prepared by Yao Zhi. While the variety of the dishes was not wide, the amount was a lot. Just the braised pork alone filled a big basin. Judging by the amount, she must have used at least 10 jin of pork.

While Yao Zhi was dividing the pork belly into 10 portions, Wang Shen opened the pot lid and exclaimed in surprise, ”Yao girl, why did you use so many vegetables? It must have cost you a lot of money.”

Hearing this, Yao Zhi smiled and replied, ”Aunt Wang, the vegetables were planted by me before. It didn’t cost money.”

Who didn’t know how lazy Yao Zhi was? It was only recently that she started planting vegetables and crops in her yard. When did she ever plant anything before?

With this thought, everyone exchanged glances when they heard her words. No one believed her words and thought that she was unwilling to let them know how much money she had spent.

Although they thought so, no one exposed her. After all, they were the ones who benefited from this. It had been a long time since they ate meat. Since it’s a free meal, of course, the more, the better.

Wang Shen noticed their small actions and knew that these people were trying to take advantage of this silly girl. Most people were petty and lived frugally, so it was normal for them to develop this kind of personality.

While it’s not pleasing to have interactions with this kind of person, they lived in the same village, and they might need their help one day. So, unless it’s too much, most people would turn a blind eye.
