Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 418: Chapter 224: Essence Armor II

Countless swarms of ants surged in, devouring the security team and bodyguards outside the house who were resisting the ants in an instant.

The swarm took scattered high-energy weapons as food, and the Gluttonous Ant grew larger once more.

At this moment, the Gluttonous Ant had grown from being able to fit into a one and a half-meter square box to a length exceeding four meters, its abdomen round as a ball, with every wrinkle on its skin stretched open.

On the side of Orens Manor, the estate’s security and private bodyguards, holding high-energy weapons, caught the attention of the ant swarm, giving the wealthy a chance to escape, and as soon as they stepped inside, they shut the door.

Though a bit mean, in some respects they also prevented the swarm from entering indoors.

The villas purchased by the wealthy, each with its independent automatic defense system, had firepower and defense far surpassing the automatic defense system of Orens Manor.

As long as they hid indoors, they could hold out until reinforcements arrived.

Everything was as they imagined, the high taxes and donations paid over the years paid off with great effect at this moment.

The Willdo City Police Department, usually averaging a response time of 40 minutes, assembled its most elite police force in just five minutes, joining nearby Hymn Company patrol teams to storm the community.

Wu Chang and others took advantage of the chaos, leaving Orens Manor, waited outside for ten minutes, sensed the time was right, and then pretended to pass by by chance, showing the Hymn Company ID to the guards, and charged into the manor through the main gate.

Back in Orens Manor, the battlefield situation was not ideal.

If the SWAT and Hymn patrol teams had appeared earlier, with their firepower, they truly might have shattered the Gluttonous Ant with one blow.

By this moment, the Gluttonous Ant had devoured the entire estate’s public automatic defense system and eaten a large amount of high-energy weapons, having overcome its initial weakness. It was not only robust but had also spawned tens of thousands of ant swarms.

In the face of the Disqualified Monster in its prime, even the SWAT and Hymn patrol teams were helpless, having to fight and retreat.

The Gluttonous Ant manipulated the swarm to suppress the SWAT and Hymn patrol teams, and after eating all the food in the Disqualified Domain. It lay on the largest villa’s rooftop, frantically gnawing at the top.

Coincidentally, the building it targeted was the Moritz family’s.

When Wu Chang and the others arrived, the top floor of the Moritz mansion had been eaten away, and the Gluttonous Ant was eating down from the rooftop, collapsing a wall.

Through the broken wall, Wu Chang saw Moritz surrounded by bodyguards, his distinctly angular and not at all smooth bald head particularly conspicuous.

Fei Guang whispered, ”Boss, should we go help?”

Tonight’s actions were all to extract money from the wealthy in Orens Manor, with Moritz being the main target among them.

If they accidentally played the moneybags to death, their business wouldn’t be easy to carry on.

Wu Chang nodded and said, ”Can you do it discreetly?”

Fei Guang looked at You Wu, You Wu nodded and said, ”I can try.”

As they spoke, the sound of helicopter rotors came from above Orens Manor.

Wu Chang looked up, seeing two armed helicopters with the Hymn Company logo appearing overhead.

With the appearance of the armed helicopters, there was cheering from the villa area.

”Great, it’s the emergency mobilization team. We’re saved!”

The helicopter’s cabin opened, and two Hymn Company employees dressed in full high-tech armor, wearing tactical goggles and auxiliary masks, appearing like Future Warriors, appeared at the cabin door.

Their chests bore the golden Hymn Company logo, indicating they were level six Gold Medal Employees of Hymn Company.

The armed helicopter hovered over the Gluttonous Ant, and after receiving some instruction, the two jumped out of the helicopter without hesitation.

As they leaped out of the helicopter, they were several hundred meters above the ground, with neither carrying a parachute. As soon as they exited the cabin, they tucked in their limbs tightly, straightened their bodies, and shot swiftly towards the Gluttonous Ant.

When they were tens of meters from the Gluttonous Ant, they somersaulted and spread their limbs into a star shape to reduce descent speed, then drew two-meter-long, palm-width black matte great swords from their backs.

Their synchronized movements were precise enough to pilot mechas in the Pacific Rim.

Buzz~

A violent buzzing noise came from the two black great swords, with large blue patterns lighting up on the surface of the black great swords.

After activating the black great swords, the two Gold Medal Employees, as if having acquired flying abilities, could move in the air to some extent.

Wu Chang looked at the two black great swords, with related memories flooding his mind.

Essence Armor, the supreme masterpiece developed by Hymn Company on the basis of high-energy weapons.

Only through Spiritual Power Activation can one control Essence Armor, which is why only those who have completed Spiritual Ability Activation Surgery are qualified to become Gold Medal Employees.

Hymn Company announced the Essence Armor development plan three years ago, but nothing followed, and people generally believed the Essence Armor was still in the PPT stage, just a gimmick to boost stock prices.

Very few high-level executives knew that the Essence Armor was under continuous development and had already entered the testing phase.

For the majority present, including the owner of Wu Chang’s current body, Sean, it was their first time witnessing the use of Essence Armor.

The two Gold Medal Employees adjusted their postures, wielding the black long sabers, and struck at the Gluttonous Ant simultaneously from the left and right, the saber traces forming a giant X in the air.
