Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 194: Chapter 152: Secrets and Finale_3

With a single elbow, the Fire Master was thrown like a stone skipping over water, rolling and leaping on the surface, sending out ripples until he collided with the edge of the Golden Country and finally came to a stop.

The Saint Form of the Fire Master was shattered by this elbow, along with all the bones in his body.

With his whole body broken, and affected by blindness, dizziness, bleeding, and weakness, the Fire Master slowly sank to the seabed, giving up thinking altogether.

Just as he was about to become the first Level 30 Player to drown, a large hand grabbed him by the collar and lifted him out of the water.

The True Self used the map editor ability to materialize a piece of reef and threw the Fire Master onto it. Once the negative statuses on the Fire Master had ended, the True Self asked:

”Was it you who set up the Year-End Array in Huai Valley Village in the Age of Peace Dungeon?”

The Fire Master looked venomously at the True Self and said, ”It was me. When I was in Huai Valley Village, you stole my Four-sided Age Fire Lamp and ruined the plan I had set up. I wanted to settle the score with you, but I didn’t expect you to chase me all the way to Sirena, take my lampwick, and disrupt my miracle-invoking.”

”In the light of the Four-sided Age Fire Lamp, let me die knowing who you really are. You clearly just went through the Peaceful Town Dungeon, so how can you enter the Midnight Cemetery again in such a short time?”

Wu Chang True Self sat down facing the Fire Master, who was leaning weakly against the reef, and said:

”I can answer your questions, but you must first tell me, why do you in the Peace Church deliberately invoke a dungeon out of control? And don’t tell me it’s just for fun.”

The Fire Master, knowing he was about to die, didn’t bother to hide anything and said, ”Our goal is to collect the Erosion Core.”

”Erosion Core? Why?” Wu Chang pursued further.

There was little information about the Erosion Core, and the item description was very brief. All he knew was that the Erosion Core was important, but he didn’t know why it was important or how it was used.

Upon hearing the Fire Master mention it, his interest was immediately piqued.

The Fire Master said, ”It is the Lord’s will. Not only the True God Leman, but other True Gods are also having their believers collect the Erosion Core. This is no secret among the faith circle. However, not all True Gods can use the Erosion Core. If the believers of many weaker True Gods obtain an Erosion Core, they do not hand it over to the True God but choose to trade it with us.”

Wu Chang pondered over the meaning in the Fire Master’s words. The Fire Master called the Evil Gods as True Gods, which was easy to understand. After all, no believer would refer to their own deity as an Evil God.

But it was the first time Wu Chang heard about the faith circle, and from the Fire Master’s words, it seemed that believers of different Evil Gods had formed some kind of circle.

”What does the faith circle mean?”

The Fire Master, at this point knowing nothing to conceal, explained, ”To cope with the persecution from the Four Major Organizations, we believers of the True Gods must unite to protect ourselves.”

Wu Chang listened with a frown, thinking to himself, come on, come on, some things you can deceive yourself about, but don’t deceive brothers. How have you Evil God followers become fighters against oppression?

”The Four Major Organizations target you not because you, to please the Evil Gods, recklessly destroy the Abyssal Game and cause dungeons to lose control, affecting reality?”

The Fire Master sneered at Wu Chang’s words and said, ”The actions of the True Gods may be a bit extreme, but they are much better than the Four Major Organizations. Although your talent is monstrously strong, it seems the organization nurturing you is just a second-rate force that hasn’t even told you the basic information.”

Wu Chang showed a look of curiosity and urged, ”Tell me more in detail.”

The Fire Master said, ”Twenty-four years ago, when the Abyssal Game first absorbed players on a large scale, the Four Major Organizations were already established. Even when the first batch of players finished their trial tasks and entered the Crimson Courtyard, the Four Major Organizations had already gained temporary management authority and established their own exclusive spaces.”

Upon hearing this, Wu Chang couldn’t help but click his tongue. The foundation of the Four Major Organizations seemed deeper than he had imagined.

The Fire Master continued, ”You say we made dungeons lose control and caused damage in both the real world and the Abyssal Game, but do you know we’ve only repeated what the Four Major Organizations once did in the Desolate Realm?”

”They took advantage of their early entry to monopolize a large amount of resources, destructively extracting various advanced items and materials. After cultivating a large group of experts, they then blocked the path for newcomers under the guise of maintaining reality’s stability. Do you think this is reasonable? Even now, they are doing similar things on the Abyss Second Layer, just without your knowledge.”

Regardless of truth, the revelations from the Fire Master were explosive enough. Even if it was nine truths and one falsehood or eight truths and two falsehoods, there were quite a few truths in there. At least it suggested the Four Major Organizations in the Abyssal Game weren’t as harmless as they appeared.

But the question arises.

Wu Chang posed his question, ”Since you say the Four Major Organizations are so powerful and oppress you heavily, why do I see situations where Evil God believers continue to provoke and even directly attack young talents of the Management Bureau, while the Management Bureau, sitting on various resources in reality, finds it challenging to target you?”

The Fire Master snorted coldly and said, ”It’s simple, because the true power of the Four Major Organizations is focused on the Abyss Second Layer and Third Layer. Any capable member would rid themselves of the Desolate Realm as soon as possible.”

”Contrary to them, we believers of the True Gods are weaker in the Abyss Second Layer and Third Layer, but in the Desolate Realm, relying on the Divine Grace of the True Gods, we can make up the difference and even surpass the Four Major Organizations.”
