Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 294: Chapter 293: The Battle Begins

At this moment, time seemed to have fallen into silence, as a sudden wind centered on Yamato swept across the entire Flower Capital.

The confetti from the fireworks, the lanterns that fell amidst the chaos, the carts shattered in battle, countless debris surged in all directions with the gust.

People in the distance only felt an unexpected strange wind, but those near Yamato felt it most intensely. Maria and Jack were knocked to the ground by the force, as was Chansey.

Their consciousness briefly fainted, but due to the Healing Heart trait, the feeling of faintness quickly dissipated.

”This... what is this?”

The cart in Jack’s hand slid to the ground. They weren’t just standing idly by; when gunshots rang out and chaos ensued, he casually grabbed whatever could be used as a weapon, even swatting away a charging Ronin Warrior.

It’s not that Yamato was too weak to react. The Power of the Evergreen allowed her more interaction with Pokemon, and her feelings towards Pokemon were far deeper than most people. In her heart, they weren’t pets or anything of the sort, but friends and family.

That’s why she became flustered when Chansey got hurt; after all, this was the first time she faced a family member getting injured.

In the past, when she went out, Arceus was with her, giving her a sense of invincibility. It was only at this moment that the fragility of life emerged in her heart.

It was in her nature; Jack was equally concerned about Chansey’s condition, but he couldn’t heal or do much else, so he made a different choice. The spider legs of Maria, who had transformed into a spider, also lost their strength; this was something they had never experienced before.

However, thanks to Chansey’s trait, they at least remained conscious, unlike others.

People crumpled like wheat being reaped, falling one after another. Whether it was the pirates of the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew or the Samurai thugs of Wano Kuni, they all lost consciousness under this impact.

This was also Haki, but it was the Supreme King Haki.

It cannot be obtained through training; only one in millions can awaken this King’s qualification, which is why they never received any training in this regard. Supreme King Haki is entirely a rare gift of talent.

The reason most people awaken Supreme King Haki is through an eruption of intense emotions—hatred for others, concern for companions—when emotions reach their peak, this power naturally surges forth.

Those affected by Supreme King Haki will fall into a coma if not strong enough. The first-time users usually trigger this power unconsciously and have no idea how to control it, causing indiscriminate impact on both friend and foe.

”Supreme... Supreme King Haki...”

Pirates further away were not knocked unconscious by the impact; they had seen big scenes with Kaidou and naturally understood the concept of Supreme King Haki. Although it was still immature compared to Kaidou’s Haki, there was no doubt it was Supreme King Haki.

”Isn’t that Miss Yamato? As expected of Kaidou Boss’s daughter, she indeed inherited that qualification!”

”What nonsense are you talking about now? Go and take Miss Yamato to a safe place! Do you want to see Lord Arceus in a rage?!”

The pirate leader nearby was far more clear-headed than them. The awakening of Supreme King Haki only indicated Yamato’s qualification, but if something happened to her here, it would be disastrous.

With his reminder, the pirates nearby instantly became incredibly clear-minded. They abandoned their entanglement with the enemies in front of them and started their breakthrough operation with Yamato’s location as the target.

When the battlefield has a focal point, it is not just one side that becomes clear-headed but everyone. The goal of those Samurai was an extermination operation; their purpose was to eliminate the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew.

They weren’t very clear about Yamato’s identity, but anything the pirates wanted to approach must be their target. What the pirates want to accomplish, they will try to prevent.

”Don’t even think about passing!”

”Get lost!”

A few minutes ago, they were drinking together, but most of the alcohol was spilled on the ground amidst toasts and laughter. The New Year’s Festival was a time of revelry, and strangers celebrating together was not unusual.

They hoped to capture the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew while they were letting their guard down, but they didn’t expect the pirates to be so prepared.

What happened outside had nothing to do with Yamato; she didn’t even know she had used some sort of power. All she knew at this moment was that no one was interfering with her treating Chansey.

The Power of the Evergreen began to take effect, Chansey’s body began to heal itself under this power, damaged tissues started to grow, and the bullet originally lodged inside was expelled out.

Although its physical defense was as thin as paper, Chansey’s vitality was very strong. This injury would make it weak, but it wouldn’t be life-threatening, especially with other Chansey using skills to replenish its lost vitality.

For Pokemon, as long as they haven’t died on the spot, rescuing them is not an issue.

Yamato then moved Chansey to a relatively safe location, then took her Ken-Go No. 5 from her backpack.

No matter where she goes, she must carry a weapon. This was Kaidou’s requirement for her, so her backpack had always contained her Wolf Fang Club.

”Jack, Maria, guard the Chanseys here.”

The surrounding environment wasn’t complicated, but everywhere was in a state of chaotic battle. It was better to defend the ground than to run around aimlessly.

”No matter what happens, both foster father and father won’t lose. I believe they will come over soon.”

”Wait, where are you going?”

”To take revenge, I will never forgive that guy.” She didn’t know exactly who fired the shot, but the situation was obvious; there were enemies everywhere, so every person holding a gun was her target.

Moreover, Queen taught them which positions were more suitable for shooting, and combined with the location where Chansey was shot, she had roughly speculated.

”I’ll leave this place to you; I believe you can do it.”

The enemies around them were not many to begin with, and Yamato’s Supreme King Haki had cleared the field again. Most people were occupied in the outer chaotic battle, but no one knew whether some stragglers would rush over.

Maria was a bit worried. She felt that it would be best if Yamato stayed here with them, but Jack had already answered.

”Go without worry. No one can hurt them anymore.”

”Alright!”

At a distant window, the thug who initially fired the shot stood up while leaning on his gun. He was far from Yamato, so he was only briefly intimidated. When he got back up, Yamato was nowhere to be seen in his sight.

”Damn it, what the hell...”

He shook his head, searching again for the enemy’s location, but then a string of footsteps sounded in his ears.
