Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 286: Chapter 285: Interested in Being Crown Prince for a Few Decades? (Just Kidding)

Setsuna’s arrow played a crucial role, directly destroying his idea of using a hostage to threaten others from the root. Zeraora had noticed Setsuna following earlier, which is why he adopted this tactic; otherwise, he had other ways.

Compromise was impossible anyway, giving up one’s advantage during a standoff would be a death wish.

Moreover, not only was the arrowhead made of Seastone, but even the shaft was not an ordinary wooden shaft, but a hollow metal tube infused with Seastone. So, when he tried to pull the arrow out of his body, he found it impossible, as his hand on the shaft had no strength.

Additionally, the barbs on the arrow had hooked onto his bones, and with the Seastone taking effect, he also lost his ability to fly.

Beneath Zunisha was the vast sea; theoretically, an ability user falling into the sea had no chance of survival unless they were a fishman.

Of course, with the current habit of the Hundred Beasts, either they don’t kill, or they ensure the opponent’s death 100%. Zeraora stepped on the air directly, rushing down, and then clawed him into several pieces.

”Setsuna, take the people back first! I’ll take care of their ship!”

”Oh, got it!”

After dealing with this ability user, Zeraora did not return to Zou. He didn’t think these people flew up stepping on clouds, so he went to look for the enemy’s ship near Zou, as a ship was essential if they wanted to retreat.

A mere ship was nothing to him and currently, he was in an overload state, with a large amount of electrical energy attached to his body. After locating the World Government members’ ship, he directly used it as a center to unleash a wide-range lightning attack.

And under his attack, the ship shattered, with the violent thunderstorm evaporating some of the sea water below.

...

In the Fluffy Kingdom, a few hours later, most of the Fur Race woke up. What Caesar had made was just a simple anesthetic, after all, he wanted a living target for experiments, so once the effects wore off, they woke up.

And when both ability users were dealt with, the remaining agents naturally weren’t their opponents. Moreover, Hichugiskhan hadn’t lost his fighting ability, and with him joining the battle, the agents on the back of Zou were all eliminated.

The Fur Race was not merciful when facing enemies, and then the Firearms Team searched in groups on the back of Zou, uncertain of how many agents had infiltrated.

Under the Fur Race’s keen sense of smell, those people had nowhere to hide and were found one after another.

Afterward, Hichugiskhan led several searches, and only after counting the number of citizens did they feel at ease.

And what followed was Doctor Miyagi’s busy time. This was also a drawback of Zou, with a shortage of doctors, there were few doctors on the island.

Since the Fur Race usually had strong physiques and rarely fell sick, and there weren’t many people on Zou, they managed to cope.

The most seriously injured among the Fur Race were Hichugiskhan and a few elite warriors, as they initially faced those two ability users.

”Cough cough...cough...” Sitting on a rock, Hichugiskhan clutched his chest, while Miyagi, a fellow sheep fur member, was shaving his wool, which was thick and obstructed the wounds, affecting his body’s recovery.

”Duke, you don’t have any serious injuries, just rest for a few more days and you’ll be fine.”

”How are the members of the Firearms Team?”

”Also not bad, a few have broken bones, and one has injured internal organs, but they’ve been given emergency treatment. The medicine Setsuna brought back works very well, much better than what we have stored.”

He carried a brand new medical kit at his waist, with new tools inside, which Setsuna had brought from the Hundred Beasts Pokemon Center before returning to Zou.

Zeraora still patrolled the nearby waters, ensuring there was nothing strange near Zou.

Meanwhile, Setsuna was facing new questions from Ling and Hatch.

”How did you learn to fly?”

They had seen Setsuna using electromagnetic floating and didn’t expect their daughter would learn to fly after going out.

”Did you eat a Devil Fruit?”

”No, no, this is the power of that lord whom Zeraora most respects. After escaping from the organ trafficking assassination group, not long after I learned it...”

She was checking on Salt’s body for any injuries, as Salt had made significant contributions in the previous incident, casually answering Ling and Hatch’s questions.

However, she didn’t notice that the air seemed to fall silent after this sentence.

”Sister, what’s an organ trafficking assassination group?”

”Ah-a...”

She realized she might have said something alarming; back then, she had trouble coming up with a reason to cover it up, and when she turned to look, Hatch and Ling’s eyes held a dangerous gleam.

”My dear daughter, could you explain to mom what that group is?”

”Yes, it sounds like a very dangerous organization; shouldn’t you explain it well?”

Earlier, Setsuna’s report was typically only sharing the good news, hiding the troubles she encountered outside. In fact, aside from the initial trouble at the organ trafficking assassination group, nothing much happened after meeting the Hundred Beasts.

The dangerous atmosphere began to spread, and when Zeraora returned, he happened to see Setsuna being chased again, this time by her parents as a duo.

Finally, it was Hichugiskhan, wrapped in bandages, who stopped Hatch and Ling.

”Alright, alright, it’s all in the past now, so let’s not dwell on it further. I have something to discuss with them.”

Saying so, he called Setsuna and Zeraora over to the side.

”Duke, is there something you need?”

”Indeed, there’s something. Those people are from the World Government. Although I don’t know what their so-called experiment subjects are meant for, I guess they won’t just let it go.

This matter has somewhat exceeded my ability to handle. Although timing plays a part, we can’t expect the enemy to come specifically during a full moon.”

Hichugiskhan thought for a moment and then said to Zeraora, ”Though you weren’t born on Zou, and I don’t know who your parents are, do you plan to marry Setsuna?”

”Ma...Marriage! Duke! This is too soon!” Zeraora hadn’t responded yet, but the matter was somewhat beyond Setsuna’s expectation, in a way, it was beyond her expectations.

”Don’t worry, it’s not like asking you to get married right now. The world belongs to you young people. What I mean is if you plan to live together, then in the future stay by my side. I’m getting old, and in a few years, the duke’s position will be yours.”
