Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 261: Chapter 260: Shampodi Family Outing

Although going to that location will take quite some time, it doesn’t significantly affect the essence, since Kaidou and Arceus’ training alternates, and Kaidou’s method of edutainment makes him enjoy himself, with satisfactory training results.

For example, after the stone plate returned to his body, he came up with some new tricks, using rocks as muscles, plants as the meridians and skeleton, a group of rock-made mannequins stood in front of Yamato.

Under the control of Arceus, these rock soldiers attacked Yamato as if they were alive. This was a brand new training ground he prepared for Yamato and others, which he called the Stone Soldier Eight Array.

It is an upgraded version of Yamato’s battle royale. They must continuously navigate the rock-formed labyrinth, defeat rock soldiers that can appear at any time, and reach the exit within the allotted time.

Various mechanisms might also appear inside, including but not limited to Grass Knot, Stealth Rock, whirlpools, and more.

Kaidou’s training is more dangerous, but all the dangers are known. Arceus’ training, although safer, is full of surprises.

On the last night before departure, Yamato breathlessly dashed out of the Stone Soldier Eight Array set up by Arceus.

”Father, I did it!”

”Well done, I can prepare for you to open Level Two now.”

”What?! Father, you’ve been led astray by my dad, you weren’t like this before...”

”That’s because you’ve grown up, alright, today’s training is over, we’re setting off to Shampodi tomorrow, is there anyone who wants to go with you?”

The Hundred Beasts Pirates always had the potential to develop into a Hundred Beasts Kindergarten, a trend that strengthened as the Hundred Beasts rooted deeper in Wano Kuni.

Kaidou’s daughter, the children Kaidou picked up outside, the children other officers picked up outside, and some children of ordinary pirates under the Hundred Beasts Pirates.

However, there are only a few that Kaidou personally trained on Ghost Island. Although the competition mechanism of the Hundred Beasts is meritocratic, there’s still a big difference in what internal members enjoy.

Yamato’s playmates are just these few. Of course, going to Shampodi wasn’t going to be alone with just her.

”Hmm... Jack and Maria want to go, Robin hasn’t answered yet. Father, Robin can go out, right?”

”Sure.”

The only person from Ohara who can freely come and go, though she was also awarded a degree by Ohara, this degree wasn’t reported, so there’s no information about her on the World Government’s side.

”Great!”

”Alright, go take a bath and then rest, stop letting Chansey use Sing all the time.”

Whenever there’s a major event, she gets too excited to sleep, and Chansey using hypnosis on her becomes routine. However, as she grew older and her resistance increased, the effect of singing started to diminish.

Meanwhile, above Ghost Island on Sky Island, Robin also spoke to Olvia about Yamato inviting her.

”They’re going to play at the Shampodi Islands?”

”That’s what she said, but it seems like they’re going to the Shampodi Islands for some affairs, and play just happens to be on the way.”

Some things, once lost, can never be retrieved. The current Robin made up for some childhood playmates in life, but her mentality is much more mature than ordinary children.

Even in play, she has more considerations.

”Shampodi... a round trip would take about two months, do you want to go?”

”I kind of want to go.”

”Alright, I’ll pack your clothes for you, have a great time playing.”

Olvia always carries a sense of guilt towards Robin. Exploring history was her own aspiration and her late husband’s dying wish, which is why she left Ohara when Robin was two years old.

She wanted to compensate Robin, but never had the opportunity, and didn’t stop her in such matters.

The next day, the Origin set sail on time, with Shaina and Olga boarding the ship together. In recent years, affairs at the Shampodi auctions have all been handled by them, and this time was no exception.

...

A month and a half later, they reached the Shampodi Islands, the journey taking longer than Olvia estimated because they didn’t travel in a straight line.

Ordinary people would submerge after coating and travel the route through Fishman Island to reach the Shampodi Islands. However, with Arceus and Kaidou accompanying the Hundred Beasts Pirates, they chose to fly directly over the Red Earth Continent.

Sitting in her special seat, Yamato had already seen the towering red trees.

Alqimia Red Tree, a unique towering plant of this world, with its thick roots protruding above water. 79 red trees together form the Shampodi Islands, with each tree’s root area being vast. People use the markings on the trunks to distinguish different trees.

The Alqimia Red Tree secretes a special resin, and it is this resin that forms the unique bubble culture here.

Bubble shopping carts, bubble Ferris wheels, bubble houses, this is the paradise for Bikini Bottom’s yellow square people.

However, once you leave this area, the bubbles burst, so the bubble culture hasn’t spread out.

The other function is coating. By coating, ships can dive into the deep sea, pass near Fishman Island, and reach the New World.

Coating craftsmen in the Shampodi Islands earn high incomes, but there are countless impostors. When choosing craftsmen, one must be very cautious, or else if the coat bursts halfway it will be unfortunate.

Almost all craftsmen here maintain a zero negative-review record because if the coating fails people die under the strong water pressure, and basically, no one survives to give a bad review.

Although there’s a Navy garrison on the Shampodi Islands, their biggest role is maintaining order when the Heavenly Celestial Dragon appears here.

They also manage areas 60-69, which houses the Navy garrison and the World Government office entrance.

In some areas, naval patrols can be seen, which keep peace in these zones, but the Navy does not interfere within the illegal zones 1-29.

Incidentally, the Navy areas and the illegal zones are neighboring, separated only by a tree root, showcasing a completely contrasting scene.

However, due to this management style, as long as pirate ships don’t dock next to the Navy garrison, there’s generally no problem.

The Origin stopped directly in area 30, where Soap Bubble Park is located.

The Hundred Beasts Pirates’ flag fluttered in the wind, startling quite a few people at the port. Those living here are already used to pirates; ordinary pirate flags wouldn’t concern them, but the Hundred Beasts is different.

”The Hundred Beasts Pirates, why would they appear here?”

”No idea, why would pirates from the New World come to this island of failure...”

The Island of Failure, the Island of Restart, these are all nicknames for the Shampodi Islands because countless pirates meet obstacles here, while countless others pass through to the New World...
