Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 685: Cooperation Achieved, Preparing for the Experiment

“Willing! Of course we are willing!”

Hearing the content I spoke, although there were some things they didn’t understand, they could grasp the benefits that this matter would bring.

Putting aside whether this matter could be achieved, the fact that someone was willing to take the lead in doing it meant they would surely seize this opportunity.

“Yes! I’m willing too!”

“Do you even need to ask us about this? Of course we’re willing!”

With Yi Rui taking the lead to agree, others also spoke up vying for a chance.

This wasn’t because of Yi Rui, but because they genuinely wanted to participate in this experiment!

The Great Witch Project, the witch constitution, the Magic Power Source condensation technique, and the rarely heard-of Self-generating Magic Power witch constitution!

No matter which concept was mentioned, it was enough to make them value it greatly.

They were not people who were only obsessed with researching spells and runes to the point of madness; they were naturally willing to engage with these brand-new fields.

“Right, if I may ask, Little Han, what exactly do you need us to do in cooperating with you?”

At this moment, Yi Rui also calmed down and began to ask about the specifics.

“The specifics... hmm... in short, you will be my experimental subjects?”

I said with a slight hesitation.

I didn’t want to hide this from them.

“However, I will share the knowledge and techniques I currently know with you all, but due to various objective factors, you may not be able to learn them.”

“Experimental subjects, huh...”

“Yes... if you feel uncomfortable with this, I won’t force it. But the Self-generating Magic Power I currently possess is the result of an experiment I conducted on myself.”

I said seriously, also bringing up my own case.

“You experimented on yourself? That’s truly insane!”

Yi Rui was somewhat surprised at how calmly I spoke about such a matter.

“Insane? I don’t think so. Calmly and clearly knowing what one is doing and what one will face is also a form of responsibility to oneself. The opposite is seeking death.”

“Little Han... even if the risk is predictable, it doesn’t mean it’s necessarily controllable. Despite that, you still choose to face it. Isn’t that insanity? Moreover, although I haven’t researched much into constitution, messing with one’s own body...”

“I have a derivative spell of the Resurrection Spell that is more advanced than the Resurrection Spell itself to guarantee safety.”

I interjected, cutting off Yi Rui’s words.

“I agree.”

“Hmm?”

“I said I agree.”

“You are even more decisive than me. The speed of your mood change is faster than I can turn a book page!”

I complained.

“With the Resurrection Spell as a guarantee, there’s no reason to be afraid. There is no absolutely safe experiment in this world. Moreover, the envisioned result of this experiment is so tempting.”

Yi Rui said seriously.

“I won’t ask how you obtained this Resurrection Spell, but... can I ask what the name and general effect of this Resurrection Spell derivative spell are on everyone’s behalf? No need to mention any personal privacy aspects, even if you don’t mind.”

“Mm... the name is Reincarnation Spell. The time we first met at the academy, your mentor asked me for the derivation notes for this spell. Its function...”

“Stop! We just wanted a guarantee.”

Yi Rui immediately cut me off when she heard that her own mentor was asking the other party for derivation notes.

Yi Rui didn’t think I would lie to her about this.

And Yi Rui understood that those few short sentences just now also represented a fact!

This spell derivation was not something Little Han obtained for nothing.

For a mentor who was a Transcendent Witch to willingly humble herself to ask for the derivation notes, even if it wasn’t a unique copy, it was extremely rare.

“Since it is a Resurrection Spell derivation that even my mentor acknowledged, then we also trust you. My companions and I are willing to be your experimental subjects, and I am willing to guarantee this for everyone!”

Yi Rui said firmly.

“Sister Yi Rui, no need for a guarantee. We also trust Big Sis Little Han! Furthermore, saying ’guarantee’ makes things too distant!”

“Exactly! I don’t think there’s anything to hesitate about in this matter.”

“If the Resurrection Spell is the bottom line... even slicing the body can be acceptable... well, perhaps...”

“The transformation of the constitution is far more thorough than slicing the body.”

I looked at the last speaker and couldn’t help but feel the urge to tease her.

“Wha... what!?”

“Little Han is obviously just trying to scare you. It’s fine.”

“It’s fine, it’s fine. Your willingness is the best. If possible, I hope you all spread this among yourselves. There should be some people who haven’t arrived yet, right?”

I asked.

“Mm. Maybe they were busy. I’ll go to their rooms to find them and also explain Big Sis Little Han’s plan.”

They now voluntarily helped me spread the word about this matter within their small group.

However, this matter was not very urgent.

After everyone went about their respective tasks, Yi Rui also came to my side.

“Little Han, have you talked about this matter with any mentor? Honestly, your idea... is a bit too advanced.”

“Mm... I talked to one of the mentors. If I develop some results, I can submit this to Academy Head Mei. I think Academy Head Mei would be very interested in the success of this matter.”

Of course, the mentor I referred to was Big Sis Bai, ”Mentor Bai.”

I found a lounge chair nearby and lay down, enjoying a rare moment of leisure.

And Yi Rui also lay down beside me.

“What? You can find Academy Head Mei?”

“Mm. The Self-generating Magic Power bodily talent I currently possess was completed with Academy Head Mei’s involvement, coupled with my own efforts.”

“Then... I mean, if Academy Head Mei was involved... then this technique should already be a complete technique, shouldn’t it?”

Yi Rui asked curiously.

“Yes, it’s a complete technique for me personally, but it cannot be popularized to every ordinary person.”

I shook my head.

“Why?”

“Because I possess an ability that ordinary people don’t: Self-awakened Body Cultivation. Theoretically, this is something everyone could achieve, but the reality is... I might be the only one in the Main World who has achieved it. And possessing this talent is merely a prerequisite for achieving Self-generating Magic Power within this technique.”

“I see.”

Yi Rui nodded.

She wasn’t someone who understood nothing.

Although she didn’t know the precise meaning of Self-awakened Body Cultivation, she knew the term ”awakening” and had heard of ”Body Cultivation.”

Body Cultivation was a very rare group in the Witch Academy, let alone with an added prefix.

“So, what I need to do now is to lower the threshold of Self-awakened Body Cultivation, or even... completely remove this threshold.”

I said.

“The condition of Self-awakened Body Cultivation is only a threshold for those who want to possess ’Self-generating Magic Power’ before the Transcendent tier, but it is not the whole picture.”

“This relationship is similar to the idea that one must advance to a Transcendent Witch before possessing Self-generating Magic Power.

Advancing to a Transcendent Witch is not mandatory, but the ability to achieve a certain technique after advancing to Transcendent Witch is the key.”

“So, you want to break down the ability of Self-awakened Body Cultivation and replace its function in Self-generating Magic Power with a more direct and easily implementable technique, right?”

“Yes. You understand perfectly.”

I nodded.

There was nothing that made me happier than someone else understanding me.

For me, who was not good at expressing myself, this was too much of a luxury.

“I don’t completely understand it yet, but I know what you intend to do. However, I don’t know exactly how you plan to do it, but I guess you need a large number of experiments to collect a large amount of data to continuously revise your ideas and thought process.”

“Yes.”

I nodded.

“If I absolutely have to do it that way... then I must conduct experiments according to the original technique first to gather initial information, and then make revisions.”

“There truly is no better way than this. So, the worst possible outcome of the preliminary attempts... is death?”

Yi Rui asked.

“It might be worse than you think. The best possible outcome is death. The old me actually already died, but my soul was sustained by the Dream State due to my Dream Spell.”

“There’s even the involvement of the Dream Spell... Wait, soul?!”

“Yes... I am a Soul Essence.”

But I didn’t say I was a natural Soul Essence.

“You...”

Yi Rui turned her head and looked at me with a complex gaze.

This gaze was as distant as if looking at a complete stranger she had never met before.

“You might be more terrifying than we anticipated... Does this involve the Great Project of the Soul now?”

“Mm. I have also dabbled in the Great Project of the Soul, which is why I mastered the Reincarnation derivative spell.”

“No wonder... your reputation is so terrifying even among the Transcendent Witch community. Then, I am Soul-substance... is that a concern?”

Yi Rui continued to ask.

At this moment, Yi Rui had completely put away the senior-student mentality towards Little Han.

The other party might be... no, definitely stood on a higher level than her!

“It’s not a concern. This does not prevent the Reincarnation Spell from resurrecting you. Resurrection Spell is essentially just resurrecting a living being that is still alive, it’s just that ordinary people have a different definition of death.”

“I see... Then when do we start?”

“If you want to try the taste of death quickly, we can start now.”

I said with a smile, in a joking manner.

“But before that, we need to set things up here. The most important thing is spatial confinement, to prevent unexpected visitors from disturbing us.”

“Do we need other equipment? Are we doing the experiment just like this?”

“Equipment? I’ll make them bare-handed right here.”

I waved my hand and said with a smile.

Those pieces of equipment were nothing more than the devices that connected the academy network to the Earth Vein.

Back then, the Academy Head also used those devices to collect data, but to be frank, those were auxiliary, not mandatory.

And what was the one thing I was least lacking in right now?

Planting trees!

With the development of Plant Technology, as long as the devices were connected to the Plant Network, I basically had information backups for all of them.

This was the fundamental reason why I was so obsessed with planting trees all over the world, and why I allowed and guided the development of Plant Technology in the first place.

Harvesting the entire world!

Moreover, the more important thing was that the research team at the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree laboratory had already completed the connection between the academy network and the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree.

Therefore, Plant Technology could now also be the carrier for the academy network’s devices.

What needed to be noted was that the academy network’s method of controlling the Earth Vein was not a spell but a construct derived from a technique.

Spells that could directly control Earth Vein Energy were only Earth Vein Spells.

Even though Plant Technology was a product under the framework of my Great Tree of Knowledge, its essence had already transcended the scope of spells due to the transformation of techniques.

And the reason for saying all this was only one: to prove that I now had the ability to make equipment bare-handed!

I remember when Teacher Ji Niang took me into the professional laboratory, she even taught me the technique of making high-precision equipment components bare-handed, but now I had achieved something similar through a different method.

However... it seemed I hadn’t seen Teacher Ji Niang for a long time.

She must be busy with her [Transcendent Knowledge], right?

After all, creating a complete Grand Spellbook was her lifelong dream.

Perhaps only when she achieved that goal would she have brand-new ideas.

“Making equipment bare-handed? Are you sure? How are you going to make them bare-handed?”

Yi Rui sat up from the lounge chair and looked at me with surprise.

She simply couldn’t imagine how those devices could be made bare-handed, and from scratch!

She could only manage the bare-handed manufacturing technique for some easily damaged parts, and that still required the use of Alchemy Transmutation Rituals and other methods.

“That shouldn’t be the key point, should it? If you plan to start trying now, I don’t mind demonstrating it for you.”

I said indifferently.

“Mm, then let’s start now. The research I currently have on hand is all interruptible.”

“You are serious?”

I looked at Yi Rui with some surprise.

“Right here?”

“Of course. This top floor we booked is the most suitable place. Those suites actually don’t have a space that is very suitable for this level of experiment.”

Yi Rui also stood up at this moment.

“The main reason is that I also want to take the lead for everyone and let them know exactly what kind of experiment we are doing. I hope... if anyone chooses not to attempt it later, you will agree to let them go.”

“Of course I agree. I won’t force anyone. Even if someone says they don’t want to continue halfway through the experiment, I will stop immediately. After all... the Witch’s Contract we signed does not allow malicious harm to each other.”

“That’s true. Then, Little Han, please set things up. The protection work for this top floor will be left to me.”

“Then I’ll leave it to you.”

After simply assigning the tasks, I also got up from the lounge chair.

Sure enough, I was still destined for a ”laborious” life.

I hadn’t even been lying down for very long.

But regarding rest, as a Body Cultivator, my body’s recovery speed and abundant energy meant I didn’t actually need it.

I only occasionally indulged in satisfying mental fatigue, enjoying a moment of mental rest and leisure.

But now, it was indeed time to get down to business.

After all, what I meant by making them bare-handed... was not a joke.

After sensing the environment briefly, I generally knew that things were stable.

Although this Sixth Sanctuary was the last city to be built, it still had a complete Plant Technology infrastructure.

The building was interconnected with a standardized ”root network” for Earth Energy transmission.

And these root networks were products under the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree’s root network.

This was a hotel, and the internal root network was not the direct root network of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, but a derivative, grafted, or interconnected root network.

But that didn’t matter.

As long as it was interconnected with Earth Energy and linked to the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree’s root network, I could control it.

So, quickly, a plant sprout emerged from beneath my foot, breaking through the solid floor.

And I took out a few more seeds.

It didn’t matter what kind of plant these seeds were; they were merely carriers for plant growth.

What mattered was what I wanted them to grow into.

Furthermore, I had the information and data for all Plant Technology products.

When it came to modifying the essence of plants, I had plenty of methods.

But when it came to the fastest and most convenient method... plant life was also life.

Although using the Reincarnation Spell on a plant seed was definitely overkill, it worked for me.

So, the seeds that fell from my hand quickly connected with the root network emerging from the ground under everyone’s gaze.

Subsequently, a ”construct” that went beyond the recognized boundary of plant forms continuously grew at a visible rate.

The dense root system wove an area that resembled a carpet, covering the original top floor ground.

Although it looked a bit ”terrifying,” this was a ”platform” that I could shape freely.

Then, these plants constructed other artifacts on this plant-constructed platform—the equipment that interconnected the academy network and the Earth Vein Energy.

Coupled with the information synthesis of my Great Tree of Knowledge, this ”temporary” experimental field actually had even more terrifying functions than an ordinary professional laboratory!

“Theoretically, this is feasible, but this is also my first attempt, so it might need some debugging. However, this is not a problem, because the equipment is only auxiliary to this experiment. I am the main conductor of this experiment.”
