Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 668: Of Course, It’s for His Own Good

This new day.

I wasn’t in a hurry to confront my ”parents” face-to-face or anything.

Instead, I chose to first familiarize myself with the task I accepted before leaving school: the task of proctoring the College Entrance Examination.

This task had not officially started yet.

Perhaps the required number of people hadn’t been met, or it wasn’t yet the final deadline.

And I hadn’t signed the required contract for the task yet.

Signing the contract was a small matter.

I could Teleport back and sign it when the time came, as I had left Teleportation Markers at the Academy, and it would be the same here.

The reason I suddenly remembered this task was mainly to familiarize myself with the examination site arrangements.

Although the College Entrance Examination was still more than half a month away, the important details had been decided months ago.

With my status as a Teaching Assistant and Big Sis Bai’s status as an official mentor, even if the school hadn’t officially issued the notification regarding the College Entrance Examination proctoring, it was enough for the senior management of the selected examination schools to drop what they were doing and personally welcome us.

This was because these individuals were mostly composed of students who graduated from Transcendent Academies, so they clearly understood the worth of an official mentor and a Teaching Assistant.

However, important positions like those in the education sector were not jobs that just any graduate could take on.

The competition here was also fierce, heavily relying on personal ability, and requiring certifications and various procedures.

Of course, networking and background were also very important.

When they heard the guard’s announcement, they initially thought it was just a joke.

However, joke or not, they decided to personally verify it, just in case.

Unexpectedly, reality was more fantastical than a joke: they were actually welcoming an official mentor and a Teaching Assistant from the Academy!

Although this situation was extremely rare, after they personally verified the identities, they were completely stunned.

They had never experienced such a scene.

In the past, the school rarely saw even a Teaching Assistant, and the appearance of an official mentor overshadowed a Teaching Assistant.

This made them suspect that something might be wrong with the Academy.

As for whether they were panicking… of course they were, but mainly the kind of panic one felt when facing an official mentor.

If only a Teaching Assistant had come alone, they might be afraid and anxious, with everyone wondering if they had been caught in some wrongdoing, afraid that the person had come to arrest them.

Or if someone was secretly doing things strictly forbidden in the outside world, such as reselling Transcendent Materials, and so on.

But now that an official mentor had come directly, they actually felt relieved, because there was no need for an official mentor to personally come just to arrest them.

When they learned that the Teaching Assistant had only come to inspect the arrangements for the College Entrance Examination site, although they were extremely confused, since the purpose was stated, they naturally had to show the corresponding attitude, and the principal immediately came over to detail the various arrangements and procedures for the examination period.

As for whether they believed that the two of us were really just here to understand the procedures… they certainly didn’t.

Even if we acted as if we knew nothing.

After I learned the procedures, I was enthusiastically invited by them to see the students’ learning environment.

It was clear that everyone was working extremely hard for the College Entrance Examination, this major life event.

After touring this examination site, I suggested visiting a few other schools as well.

After all, this place was set up as one examination site, and many students would gather here to take the exam.

My first stop was the nearest school.

Naturally, no one objected to my suggestion.

They even arranged a special vehicle and accompanying personnel to help me handle the trivial matters of communicating with other schools.

And the school I suggested was the school Yang Yunhan attended, which was also the school I had attended.

However, my impression of this school was not very good.

How should I put it?

Including my former deskmate Yao Beijuan, this school had not left me with any happy memories so far.

This included the teachers and the homeroom teacher who taught me.

I even remembered the temporary homeroom teacher who was changed in the last year, who was particularly noteworthy.

She shared the same last name as the Grade Director, so their relationship needed no explanation.

She also taught the Common Language subject and liked to target people, and so on.

As for now… if it was convenient this time, I wouldn’t mind causing them some trouble.

Although doing so was meaningless to the current me, not everything in life needed to be meaningful to be done.

With the help of this group of people, I smoothly entered this school.

And I began my inspection under the guidance of the principal and others.

I watched as every time we passed a classroom, and a student turned to look out the window, the teacher would immediately scold them after I had passed.

This feeling… was very subtle.

Once upon a time, I was also taught that when a leader was inspecting outside the window, I was not allowed to turn my head and look; I was instructed to listen to the class attentively.

Now, all the students and teachers were putting on a show for me.

“The grade taking the College Entrance Examination starts on this floor, right?”

I asked after reaching the new floor.

“Yes, yes. The College Entrance Examination grade starts on this floor. The College Entrance Examination is approaching soon…”

Hearing my question, the principal next to me quickly started explaining.

“They’re so diligent. How do you arrange the class schedule for these students?”

I continued to ask.

I was actually very clear about the schedule for students at this stage.

They had to be in class by 6:30 AM for Morning Meditation.

Morning Meditation was the morning meditation training, similar to a morning reading session, as the meditation course was also one of the official courses, alternating with the morning reading of the Common Language subject.

The arrangements they described were indeed similar to what I had experienced.

The only difference was the excellent art of language expression.

“There’s an evening study session. It must be quite late when school is dismissed, right? Is the school entirely boarding now?”

I stopped at the door of Class 4 and asked.

“Boarding is mainly voluntary, but the school recommends collective boarding. After all, this is a crucial moment in life. We also communicate with every parent of every class to strive for full boarding so that students won’t be too exhausted.”

“Oh, so there are still commuting students? If they commute, and they live a bit far from the school, the students must wake up around 5 AM, right? Coming home so late after evening study, won’t that little sleep affect their grades?”

“That… that certainly affects them. That’s why I strongly advise against this behavior, persuading them nicely. Currently, there aren’t many commuting students in the school.”

“How few? Single digits? Then let’s take this class as an example. How many commuting students are there in this class?”

I looked through the window at Class 4, and finally saw a familiar figure in the front row.

“This course is a meditation class, right?”

“Yes, this class is indeed having a meditation class… As for the commuting students in this class… commuting…”

The director next to the principal, after a reminder, gave a number.

“Just one. Class 4 is also a special case. Actually, several of our classes have already completed full boarding arrangements.”

“Special case? Could you elaborate on what makes it special? Does that commuting student have any special circumstances?”

I asked relentlessly.

“This…”

The principal was momentarily speechless, looking at the Grade Director next to him.

He was the one most familiar with the arrangements for these students.

“Well… I’m the Grade Director. I do have some impression of this commuting student in Class 4. This case is indeed special. The commuting student is named Yang Yunhan. He was originally considered a little genius. I heard he was promoted by skipping grades, but now he’s running out of steam, and his grades are only average…”

“Skipping grades? Tell me more.”

“Yes, we actually communicated with this student’s parents, but his parents are simply stubborn. They say that the many people in the dorm affect the child’s rest at night, and that the school cafeteria’s breakfast is not nutritious, and so on…”

“But parents like this are simply dragging the child down. Setting aside these strange reasons, even skipping grades is used by them as capital to show off. The child’s learning should be gradual. Much knowledge cannot be achieved overnight. If he were to follow the normal age group, he would still have several years before facing the College Entrance Examination. Perhaps if he had followed the steps, with this child’s ability, his grades wouldn’t be hovering in the middle…”

After getting a rough understanding, I simply inspected the rest of the school.

After all, I came here this time to understand Yang Yunhan’s situation, and as expected… through the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell’s information acquisition, he was also not the biological son of that couple.

Heh heh… how ridiculous.

Three children, none of them were theirs.

However, I also got a piece of news from this school: the school had been actively sought out by people from the Holy Light Church.

Their purpose was also for Yang Yunhan.

It seemed they intended to secure early admission to the Holy Angel Academy, but after learning about his grades, they withdrew their initial promise, stating they would observe him further.

Moreover, since this school was in the territory radiated by the Witch Academy, the Holy Light Church’s side let the matter drop.

Finally, after trying lunch at the school, I left the place.

But I have to say, the school lunch was just as unpalatable as I remembered, and it was both expensive and disgusting.

After finishing the inspection of this school, I briefly toured the next few schools, and that concluded this experience.

“Xiao Han… how do you plan to treat this… brother in the future?”

Big Sis Bai asked after we left the school.

“Mm, I’ll let nature take its course…”

I said.

Actually, I didn’t have a good impression of this ”brother,” this person with no blood relation to me.

But the root cause was that family that led him astray.

Of course, this didn’t mean he bore no responsibility.

To be honest, at home, this brother never surpassed me in any aspect, except for relying on his parents.

So, he was actually living in my shadow all along, only his cheap parents never noticed, simply thinking I was bullying him.

After all, my soul was a person who had lived two lives, with a complete worldview and values.

Manipulating a little squirt like him was effortless.

My ”education” of him certainly wasn’t limited to mere bullying.

In fact, initially, I wouldn’t have targeted him like that, but when he started learning from his cheap parents and began targeting me, I wouldn’t be polite to him.

Killing with words was the least of it.

Who could imagine a child under ten pointing at his ”brother” and calling him mentally ill?

Of course, it was mostly based on a sense of familial superiority, mimicking his parents’ tone and attitude to tell me to get lost, and so on.

Even now, I knew he wasn’t my biological brother, and even the parents weren’t blood relatives.

Facing such a nominal ”brother,” when the brother made a mistake, I naturally had to ”educate” him properly.

As for the suggestion of bringing him to the Witch Academy… I have to say, Mentor Lina’s suggestion was quite outrageous.

I didn’t know if he could accept a change in gender, but it didn’t matter.

Compared to a change in gender… he was more afraid of death.

As someone who grew up with me as a negative example for comparison, after losing me as a benchmark and a punching bag, he lost the qualification to be pampered by his parents, and even became the target for his parents’ venting of dissatisfaction.

Under his parents’ oppression, a person like this would find it hard to even muster the courage to commit suicide.

So, luring him to the Witch Academy… was theoretically feasible and would happen without a hitch.

Moreover, the Witch Academy was not bad.

Based on my personal experience, I could directly say that the Witch path was the Academy with the most advantages for achieving Transcendent status.

Of course, this wasn’t me helping him. If he enrolled in the Witch Academy, too many challenges and difficulties would await him—or rather, await her.

Just the exposure of her name could cause a stir.

Once the relationship was revealed, having a ”sister” like me, and a ”sister” who wouldn’t cover for her, would be the biggest disaster of her life!

And I wouldn’t need to do anything the entire time.

Simply bringing her to the Witch Academy and publicly announcing her identity would be the beginning of her suffering.

The huge comparison and disparity, the strange looks from her classmates, and the words of the Counselor expressing disappointment would be the norm of her future Academy life.

Every detail of her life would become an invisible needle pricking her, making her wish for death.

Her only way out would be to become strong, to become excellent!

And not just generally excellent!

All her successes would be taken for granted, and every fall she took would draw pointing fingers.

How difficult would it be for her to turn her life around… it was self-evident.

“Big Sis Bai… what do you say? Should I lure this cheap brother to the Witch Academy?”

“Lure him to the Witch Academy?”

Big Sis Bai was also stunned by my suggestion.

“Is that possible?”

“I don’t know, but… Mentor Lina mentioned in a joking tone that she wouldn’t mind the Academy having one more mediocre student.”

“Then that’s truly… haha…”

Big Sis Bai laughed subconsciously upon thinking of the scenario.

“So, Xiao Han, you’re really planning to do this… Have you thought about how much psychological trauma this will cause him?”

“I have… but he has lived in a dysfunctional family since childhood. Only a strong remedy can reshape his distorted values. There are so many senior sisters in the Witch Academy, many talents, and they are witty. I think many senior sisters would be willing to teach him how to be a person.”

“So, Xiao Han, you are still trying to save him? Repaying evil with good?”

Big Sis Bai’s smile didn’t fade, as if she didn’t find any problem with this.

“Yes, a cheap sister as good as me is rare to come by.”

I said this, and finally laughed along with Big Sis Bai.

Perhaps I was also amused by my own shameless statement.

“Alright, alright… Xiao Han, now that you have a plan, let’s talk about the serious business…”

“Serious business… let’s leave it for tomorrow. Tomorrow also happens to be a weekend. I remember that on weekends… they hire a strict tutor for my cheap brother.”

I recalled the information from the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell.

“It’s time to lay all the cards on the table. Thinking about it now… this is just a small matter, yet it kept me confined for so long.”

I said, toying with the Destiny’s Choice coin.

I wonder where this Destiny’s Choice will ultimately be used… or if I won’t get a chance to use it at all?

“Then… Xiao Han, tomorrow, what image do you plan to use to see them? Your former male…”

“No. This is fine. If I conceal myself… how can I call it laying all the cards on the table?”
