Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 652: Final Exam and College Entrance Examination

The Small World of Plant Technology had been in the Expansion Realm for several months now, and for the Witch Academy, only a little more than half a semester had passed.

Or rather… at the midpoint of the semester, the Expansion Realm had quietly undergone a change.

If a world experiences destruction, but the population is still preserved, it would be a long process for them to rebuild their civilization, and it would involve at least nine stages.

Starting from the first stage, ”Survival and Stability.”

They needed to solve the problem of their own continuation, the most basic necessities like food and water…

However, this civilization had the most basic supplies to buy them relatively ample time for development.

To gain further stability, they needed shelter and corresponding medical and hygiene conditions.

But all of this was quickly covered by the Transcendent students who arrived here, but… it was only limited to the area around Ninglan New City.

The rest of the areas were not rescued, so the life of the Expansion Realm survived on its own.

Saying this was not to prove anything; the fact was that those students rescued some refugees, while more wanderers gathered in various parts of the Expansion Realm relying on their own abilities.

Thus, they reached the second stage, ”Organization and Leadership.”

However, in the vicinity of Ninglan New City, those students skipped the second stage, forcefully advancing them to the third stage, ”Infrastructure Reconstruction,” which was building shelters for them.

This was exactly the opposite of my actions.

My Clones were constantly deepening the second stage in the Expansion Realm, allowing them to fully utilize their own power to shape all of this.

Because the power of my Clones was limited, I could only choose this method, letting them choose their own path and rely on their own means to advance to the third stage.

And this third stage was roughly the stage the entire Expansion Realm was in, still far from final completion.

But the third stage was also the most important stage, as every subsequent stage needed to be based on infrastructure construction to be sustained.

Just like the shelters and sanctuaries in the Ninglan New City territory, the construction of infrastructure was almost complete, and even the Plant Network was laid out.

So, they couldn’t wait to start the sixth stage of ”Economic System Reconstruction,” because this was the purpose of most clubs coming here.

Perhaps not everyone came for profit, but a collective like a club certainly came for it.

As for the fourth stage after infrastructure was completed, ”Education and Knowledge Inheritance,” they did not carry it out.

Because the shelters did not plan a dedicated area for teaching, and as for knowledge inheritance… there was only the information still stored in the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree and the sparse talent scattered across the Expansion Realm.

And the fifth stage, ”Technology and Innovation”…

It must be admitted that those students were indeed carrying out reconstruction in this area, but the technology was firmly controlled by them and not returned to the civilization rebuilders.

They held tightly onto the signs of technology and innovation, all for the sixth stage, ”Economic System Reconstruction.”

As for the subsequent seventh stage, ”Social and Cultural Reconstruction,” there was no need to even consider it.

And as for the two later stages, ”World Union” and ”Environmental Restoration and Sustainable Development”…

They hadn’t touched any of them; everything was being pushed forward by me, but my own power was still too weak.

The union of the entire Expansion Realm was only limited to the Plant Network.

And the construction in terms of sustainable development was only limited to the Mutated Beast level.

It’s just that… the benefits of the Mutated Beast population’s reproduction would only begin to show when the civilization developed to its peak.

But it must be said that as time passed, the two large shelters and three sanctuaries centered around Ninglan New City and radiating outwards were indeed developing with the posture of leading the civilization reconstruction of the Expansion Realm.

With the continuous ”re-emergence” of Plant Technology, the people within the city built upon the land were gradually restoring their former way of life.

And using the interconnected Plant Network as a hub, they were constantly radiating this influence to various converged areas across the entire Expansion Realm.

As the representatives of civilization reconstruction, they naturally needed to set an example and, through the Plant Network, took over the guidance of reconstruction work in other regions.

And as they came into contact with those people on the Plant Network, the students staying in Ninglan New City also discovered one thing: the ordinary people rebuilding civilization across the entire Expansion Realm… actually all possessed Transcendent power!

And they possessed it on such a large scale!

This truly made them feel a sense of unease, as this was a scene they had never witnessed.

They could understand if the leaders of the two large shelters possessed the power bestowed by Teaching Assistant Xiao Han, but for so many people outside the Ninglan New City area to possess Transcendent power… that was terrifying!

Although they heard that this power was bestowed by the fruits of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, they had no way to obtain these fruits.

The Myriad Connection Main Network Tree in the Calamity Shelter was being studied by the mentors, and they had no right to reach out.

And the one in the Second Shelter… was ”guarded” by those 18 leaders.

They couldn’t directly steal it.

This behavior was self-initiated.

Although the opponents were very weak, according to the Witch’s Contract they signed upon coming to the Expansion Realm, they absolutely could not act against them.

Unless… the other party made the first move.

But now those dozen or so individuals were also leaders of a shelter.

They had all exchanged a lot of information and some taboos, so they tacitly agreed not to strike first.

Of course, this also included reminders from a certain group, such as… the Little Han Support Group.

To be more specific, it was… Millian.

She was very familiar with the methods of those clubs, so as early as the late stage of the Second Shelter’s construction, she had already communicated with those dozen ”young upstart” leaders.

But even so, these people still couldn’t contend with the old foxes of the clubs.

Although they didn’t suffer any actual losses, the club members managed to acquire the fruits of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree through some means.

They needed to confirm what kind of power and growth potential the Transcendent power acquired by those people had.

After eating the fruit, they also learned about the game-like interface.

This was not the ”awakening of superpowers” model they had envisioned.

This fruit was definitely not normal!

What kind of fruit just gives you this ability after eating it?

But this reminded them of that group…

Players!

Weren’t those self-proclaimed world invaders like this?

The club members who learned this information also relayed it back.

The fruit of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree could do this.

This definitely implicated the mentors gathered in the laboratory.

But because of the transmission and accuracy of the information, this intelligence also became proof within the families that those players were the doing of the Transcendent Mentors!

Even if they weren’t, those mentors possessed the means to create these players, and the fruit of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree was the best proof of this technique!

But some students also honestly went to ask the mentors, such as Mentor Elena, who was always in Ninglan New City.

But the response they received was that those players and the players created by the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree fruit were not the same.

This was just a Revelation for those players about this experiment, and the Academy was preparing to imitate this model.

Whether the people who learned this information believed it was another matter.

But what was certain was that… Transcendent Witches never cared about these trivial matters.

Even if there was worry, it was only those with a guilty conscience who worried.

Any struggle or resistance from them was meaningless.

In fact, many discerning people could also see the difference.

For example, the power forms mastered by these two ”players” were different.

One was a player who mastered pixel-like power and used thermal weapons.

The players of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree mastered ”professions” and ”skills,” a very obvious difference in style.

Roughly similar to the difference between ”Sci-Fi” and ”Fantasy.”

And… the skill strength of the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree was very weak.

Even the Lesser Fireball Spell required a casting bar, and its power was weak.

And the secondary professions, such as Planter, Architect, and so on, had no combat effectiveness.

So, they speculated that this was a means developed by the mentors to help the people of this world rebuild civilization.

While lamenting the terrifying methods of the Transcendent Mentors, they were also worried.

If the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree appeared in their outside society… then this would likely be another huge world change!

So… the truth about the players seemed to no longer be important.

Because these mentors had already begun to shape the foundation of the change, the stable social structure of the outside world… would probably really undergo a huge reshuffle.

So, as members of the Transcendent Academies, where should they go?

Should they follow the Academy and become the enforcers of the change, or comply with their families and become helpers in obstructing all of this?

In fact, they seemed to have no choice.

They could not resist the power of the Transcendent Academy, but those people in their families who had never seen it firsthand didn’t know the truth.

They still had blind confidence in their control over the outside world.

Being blinded by profit was exactly this.

Asking them to give up everything and start from scratch was impossible!

They would rather walk towards death together with their power and interests!

This was the crux of the problem.

Failing to recognize their status and position in this world was the ”cancer” that their families had been accumulating until now.

Even if the family grew stronger through continuous accumulation, growing to the point of commanding the outside world, it was all false.

Everything needed to return to the foundation.

What was the foundation of their family’s continuation?

It was the acquiescence of the Transcendent Academy.

Without this foundation, the family was nothing.

So, the divergence of the problem lay here: those in the families regarded themselves as the true masters of the Main World.

And those who entered the Transcendent Academies, having benefited from the family’s cultivation, upbringing, and resource allocation, and the philosophy and education instilled since childhood, even if they recognized the truth upon reaching the Transcendent Academies… the invisible shackles that firmly locked them in place… also made them make the most emotional choice.

And this was the headache for every Transcendent Academy.

The students they cultivated were contributing to their families, and they chose not to advance to Transcendent and embrace the race they represented, even though they were only one step away from Transcendent.

Many things cannot be solved by brute force, and this also included Transcendent-level power.

Even the current reshaping of order only corresponds to one solution, which is to flip the table.

This was a very helpless choice, but also the most convenient and dignified method.

Since they couldn’t maintain the order, they would overturn and restart.

At least the order for a period after the restart would be what they hoped to see.

If there was a gentle solution, they would never choose such a drastic method, but they couldn’t see one.

Of course, the main reason was that they couldn’t let go of the prejudice of their Transcendent and non-Transcendent identities, which would require them, the Transcendent, to negotiate and compromise with ordinary people.

So, they chose the most direct method, especially since the general trend was moving this way anyway.

It just so happened that the Witch Academy had mastered the technique of world Earth Vein repair, and this was the most fundamental reason for everything.

But no matter how things developed, time was still constantly moving forward.

And soon, two more important things were about to happen in the Main World.

One thing was related to the Transcendent Academies.

After every Academy completed the last Monthly Exam of the semester…

The final Final Exam also quietly arrived.

It could be said that the Monthly Exam of this semester was a novel experience for the students of every Academy, especially the Witch Academy, which was integrating with other Academies and experiencing friction between different Academies.

And this Final Exam was also a major arrangement.

Last semester, various Academies held a Multi-school Joint Exam, and even booked an entire Bobapus Archipelago for the examination.

And this time, it was rumored that the Multi-school Joint Exam would be held in the Expansion Realm, and the qualification for the Academy Joint Exam depended on which Academies opened a stable Teleportation Channel to the Expansion Realm this semester.

The Teleportation Channel was the credential for participating in this Multi-school Joint Exam.

Furthermore, this Multi-school Joint Final Exam also involved another plan: the ”Knowledge Seed Multi-school Joint Sharing Plan.”

Although many people were not very familiar with the Knowledge Seed, this did not prevent those who knew about it from yearning for it!

And besides this Final Exam within the Transcendent Academies, one thing was also very important in the outside society!

That was the unified worldwide… College Entrance Examination!

This was a choice of life’s crossroad that everyone experienced.

The things to be tested in the current College Entrance Examination were actually very few.

The subjects that could be used were only the ”Common Language Subject” and Mathematics Subject, and the rest were ”Basic Meditation,” ”Spell Theory,” and ”Elemental Theory”—three courses.

Of course, these three courses were all introductory-level teaching.

Even by wearing out the textbooks, one could only gain a basic understanding of these things.

Other than some basic meditation used for strengthening Mental Power, there were no means or material foundations to master Transcendent power.

Because the knowledge and means to truly master Transcendent power could only be acquired in a Transcendent Academy.

As for courses like Physics, Chemistry, Politics, History, and Biology… from a Transcendent perspective, they were unnecessary, but these courses still existed, yet there was no formal examination for them, because these things were used to shape a person’s cognition.

They could not speak the truth, but they could not be without them.

The College Entrance Examination process also included items such as a person’s Spiritual Affinity and Spirit Vision Awakening.

For example, to enter a Transcendent Academy, Spirit Vision must be awakened before filling out the volunteer application.

And to qualify for a better-level Transcendent Academy, Spiritual Affinity would also add a lot of color to the student’s self-assessment score.

Of course, affinity was more about the student’s own path selection, but it was not a decisive factor.

Everyone was an Ordinary Person.

Even if there were geniuses, there wouldn’t be a huge difference.

Therefore, many Transcendent Academies did not look at Spiritual Affinity, such as… the Witch Academy.
